Kaiko 1
The moon rose and bathed his yard in moonlight. the silvery glow and peaceful quiet gave a deep comfort after rigorous and exciting days. Both of them were deep into training for when their skills would be the only thing between him and capture.
Today had been no different and his whole body had a subtly satisfied ache which meant new muscle, he smiled at the thought.
Both he and Ikaika would fill out nicely as they aged.

Ikaika 1
Ikaika was peacefully asleep, when a subtle moan of the house woke him and he rose to find Kaiko at the doorway staring off into the garden.
"There is no one out there tonight, come to bed you worked really hard today."
He could pass out again at any moment he was so tired.
But he couldn't sleep until Kaiko was settled.

Kaiko smiled slowly at his friend.
"I'm not worried about that for once. I was just enjoying the evening. It's relaxing to look out at a sleepy world when you know you don't have to go out in it."
He liked the dark, how it made everything foggy and mysterious.
He reached out and tugged Ikaika down with him," Here now look out. What do you feel from the scene before you, what does it bring to mind?"

Ikaika 2
Ikaika's heart lept in his chest when Kaiko reached out for him. Kaiko was so self assured he was brave enough to be vulnerable in font of Ikaika now.
Ikaika wondered if one day they may want to make more of a friendship, he just wasn't exactly sure if Kaiko would one day think it was a good idea. Kaiko was a noble after all. Ikaika was definitely not.
Either way Ikaika cherished him as a friend.
Moments like this made life golden.
"I see a yard bathed in moonlight, I feel quiet, wistful. And now I want to go back to bed, I'm going to feel like garbage tommorrow if I don't get some sleep.

"You and your beauty sleep, it never does any thing to improve your demeanor." Kaika teased.
Ikaika enjoyed sleep ins and pancakes, where Kaiko was awake at the same time of morning everyday like clockwork. It had been tained into him for years and was one of the few old habits he could not shake.
"Fine lets go to bed, ruin my fun."
He used Ikaika's leg to get up and launched himself whole heartedly for the bedroom.

"Brat," Ikaika swore as the thump from the bedroom let him know Kaiko had most definitely won the race, despite his desperate scramble to catch up.
"Oh come on , we all know that was underhanded.
Kaiko was a sly opponant, patient and playful, the best kind.
"Now go to sleep or all you will do tomorrow is wine and carry on that you were up all night."

"Blah blah blah, is all I hear right now."
He snuggled down into the covers anyway. It was storm season and he oculd sense one moving in. the smell and the play of the wind definitely meant a storm, he couldn't wait.
"Can we storm watch then?" he asked playfully.

"No, go to bed, er, I mean to sleep. Listen to it from in bed."
It was quiet for about ten minutes. He had almost drifted to sleep when thunder rolled form one side of the house to the other and it was loud and bloody unnerving too.
"So much for sleeping, stop that giggling." he smiled broadly in the dark.
He liked storms too.

He couldn't help it. It was like the storm was teasing Ikaika too. this wa hilarious. And he was tired, he got giggly when he was tired.
"Okay fine, I'm sleeping, stop talking then."
An animal howled nearby and he laughed outright before actually settling down to sleep.
His mind was on the day of relaxing he was going to enjoy tomorrow.

Ikaika 5
Ikaika was awake long after Kaiko. He listened to the storm rage outside and he was glad the other boy remained close to him.
He smiled when he felt Kaiko shift closer subconsciously. There was something about storms which made him feel like a wild animal cowering before its fury.
Thunder, it was all about Thunder.
He draped an arm companionably over Kaiko and finally fell asleep.

Kaiko awoke to a soft misty rain. Okay fine, today was a good day for staying inside. He rolled over and reburrowed down to wallow out the morning at leisure.
This was the life, not a worry in the world.
He never wanted to leave this bed.
He popped an eye open; except for breakfast.
Well he would just see who woke up first wouldn't he?
Pancakes did sound nice.

Ikaika awoke groggy to the sound of clinking in the kichen, he inhaled, ahh, pancakes!
Kaiko was so considerate. he was also le by his stomach; that they shared in common.
He was awfully hungry.
He dragged himself up and crept out of the room, bedraggled but hopeful.
"Is that pancakes I smell."

"No its soup," Kaiko replied sarcastically. "Of course it pancakes." He grinned widely at the delight on Ikaika's face. It did pay to be the first one out of bed.
Besides Ikaika liked cleaning, so Kaiko wasn't worrying about cleaning up later, food for dish doing was a great trade off and one they took full advantage of as a household. It was fun to have a hard working room mate.
Everyone was on equal footing, as it should be.

He piled his plate hight with steaming flapjacks. His stomach sang a gurgly victory march. Yum!
Kaiko was such a good cook. He wished that his homely swamp dishes carried as much flair.
Pancakes were in a land dwellers dish that they adored.
"The house always smells like heaven on pancake day.

He filled up his own plate and joined his friend. "Well now what do we do?"
"We have discovered ancient eel rituals what else is out there?"
He put his chin in his hand and leaned over onto the table.
"What cha got?"
