He drew a symbol in the ground with his finger and it began to glow with a pink hue .
After a small chant, you wondered if he was summoning something, but instead another one of those vortex's opened.
You stepped back out of reflex, but he reassured you it was alright.
"I meant for that to happen," he laughed and the both of you went inside.
Here you are now, following him through this realm of beauty. You gasp at the sights
of endless creations you assume to be plants and animals. It's a gentle atmosphere,
one you expected an angel to reveal to you. For the first time, you smile as you feel okay here.
"Is this Heaven? Am I dead?" you ask. "Did that thing really get me after all?"
"Well...not exactly," he snickers as the both of you ascend a ramp into a place
that is built similar to a coliseum. "This is Paradise of sorts, but not a place where
the dead go; at least to my knowledge. This is the Realm of Judgement."
"Sounds like Heaven to me."
"I know, but that's not the case. We angels here only try to keep the peace and prevent anyone from getting out of control."
"Like the government, but not corrupted?"
"You could say that, only we have powers beyond that."
You round a corner and follow him into a small area with chairs to sit down on.
They're covered in a fabric similar to wool, but not quite and as you feel it, the softness is amazing.
No pillow could compare to whatever fabric this was.
"Wait here, I'm going to go talk with Ophelia and see what she wants to do in regards to you," he explains.
"She's not going to uh, judge me, right? I'm not in trouble?"
"Well if your story is true, then no you're not. You're a victim in this circumstance and I'll vouch for you."
"Thanks." He's not so bad, you decide. In fact, he's a lot less glory seeming for an angel, more of a down to earth guy (excuse the pun).
He leaves you to sit and you're toying with the fabric on the chair when someone else walks down the corridor.
Glancing back you see a beautiful angel with long, flowing white locks and the most intense ruby eyes.
They have a gentle gaze as they lock with yours and you can see the pain in them. What has he been through for him to give you that look of pity?
His clothes consist of pure white as you'd expect, but his wings are different than the other angels.
This one has white wings that fade into a gold near the bottom, matching his halo you note.
The one feature you find most precious is the fact of how red his nose is; he's almost like a porcelain doll.
You've never seen anyone so pure before and as he offers you a friendly smile, he bows his head.
"Good evening," he greets you. "I'm glad to see you're alright. When I saw you fall from the sky, I knew immediately I would have to make sure you got here alright."
"O-Oh.." You state with a blink. "Who are you?"
"My name is Keru. I am one of the Council Members of this realm."
"Oh wow! Nice to meet you."
"The pleasure is all mine. Now if you'll excuse me," he says as he walks past you and towards the two large doors on the end.
They open and close and now all you can do is wait.
