Name: Mikhail Andreevich Sokolovsky
**I have absolutely used this surname without Guine's permission. (J/k this character is related to hers and she knows it because she wanted me to make him.)
Nickname: He prefers to go by Misha, especially with friends, but he’ll introduce himself to new acquaintances that way, too. His parents and older relatives tend to call him Mishenka. His older brother Lev will also occasionally use the more personal diminutive.
Gender/Pronoun: Male • He/Him/His
Age: 19
Birthday: December 25th, 2000
Sign: Capricorn
Gemstone: Tanzanite
Blood Type: B-
Fav. Food: Anything that doesn’t have to be cooked. As much as Misha enjoys cooking, he does it mainly for the views and not because he actually feels like eating what he makes. Fruit and raw vegetables are staples in his day-to-day life, along with a variety of snack foods, from chips and pretzels, to granola bars and pre-packaged pastries, to yogurt and pudding.
Hated Food: Anything consumed by vegetarians and vegans in the place of typical proteins. Tofu and plant based “meat” products are on his list of “s**t I won’t eat.”
School: As much as his parents wish he’d take his education seriously, Misha doesn’t care to go to college or university. School was always dull and boring and a waste of his time, so Misha moved in with his older brother as soon as he finished high school and has avoided every effort his parents have made to convince him otherwise.
Occupation: Rising Youtube Star/Social Media Influencer (The most useless career on the face of the Earth.)
Hobbies: Cooking - Misha grew up in a family that never bothered with traditional household tasks, with the result that neither of his parents ever cooked. They relied on others to do that for them. Misha discovered a love for cooking when he wanted to get away from his parents and discovered that the kitchen was a place they rarely ventured. Cooking is a methodical process full of interesting smells and intriguing tastes. Though he may occasionally enjoy experimenting with his own dishes, Misha has found that following a recipe can be a relaxing pastime. After moving in with his older brother, Misha began uploading more and more cooking videos onto his Youtube channel, ranging from tutorials and how-to guides to fast-food and meal reviews, most of which he does with his brother Lev at his side.
Social Media - His life may not be terribly exciting — he isn’t a gamer or a makeup guru or a celebrity (minor or otherwise), nor is he particularly funny or crafty — but for some reason there are people out there who want to follow along and listen to him talk. Many of them, in fact. Annoying as some of the drama can often be, Misha has grown to enjoy his life online. It’s sort of like having a bunch of friends, only he doesn’t actually have to be around them in order to benefit from their company. Most of his online activity comes in the form of his Youtube channel and Instagram account. He uploads vlogs, reviews, and tutorials about whatever subjects might interest him at any given time, along with frequent photographs of whatever he happens to get up to, whether that’s a boring day at home, adventures around Destiny City, or following his older brother around to fashion shows and photoshoots.
Hobby Hopping - Maintaining an online presence means partaking in interesting activities. Sometimes that means shopping and showing off what he bought. Sometimes that means hiking, or touring beautiful locales. Sometimes that means attending events around town and recording whatever shenanigans Misha might get up to with his friends and acquaintances. Sometimes that means attempting a craft, even if he happens to be bad at it, and laughing off his failures for the amusement of other people. Sometimes that means trying food he’d never eat otherwise, or listening to music he’s never heard before, or making a fool of himself for the world to see. When it comes to fun activities, Misha insists he will try anything once, particularly if doing so will grant him attention, so long as the activity in question doesn’t involve any death-defying feats.
Virtues: Amiable - Misha is naturally friendly and personable. He is the opposite of shy, and doesn’t have a hard time striking up a conversation with anyone. In fact, he could easily hold a conversation by himself if he had to. Though he can acknowledge to himself that there are a lot of awful people in the world, Misha still enjoys encountering them. People amuse him, even at their worst. Misha is helpful and welcoming, with a ready smile and a kind word for everyone, even the people who don’t deserve it. He isn’t naïve or blind to the flaws of others, he simply sees no reason to be disagreeable or unnecessarily cruel. He’s perfectly capable of making a point without being an a*****e about it.
Perceptive - Perhaps because he generally likes people and doesn’t feel the need to be distant or avoidant, Misha can be slightly more intuitive than most. He studies people carefully and understands the emotions of others, even when he doesn’t feel those emotions himself. He picks up on small things in a conversation and remembers tiny details within a story that allows him insight into the thoughts and feelings of other people. Misha knows what to do to put people at ease. He knows how to offer comfort, how to stoke anger, how to encourage joy, how to soothe fears and ease someone’s sadness. Misha can “read the room” and gauge the demeanor of those around him.
Self-controlled - Misha is not the type of person who allows himself to be controlled by his emotions. Instead, his emotions are controlled by
him. He feels what he wants to feel when he wants to feel it, and expresses what he wants to express when he wants to express it. Everything else is carefully restrained or pushed down until the proper moment. Misha isn’t prone to emotional outbursts. He’s certainly capable of feeling anger, and fear, and sadness, but he isn’t the type to shout or rage or cry about it. He doesn’t throw adult-sized tantrums or cause immature drama like some of his peers might. Misha tends to be mild-mannered and even-keeled until he finds himself in a situation where he doesn’t have to concern himself with his reputation.
Flaws: Fake - “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players” certainly holds true for Misha. Most of his life is an act. Misha filters his thoughts, his opinions, and his emotions. He chooses which parts of himself to put on display, and which to keep contained. He says and does and expresses only what he wants people to see, and nothing more. Because he is so perceptive and in control of himself, Misha can turn an emotion on and off as it pleases him, and he does so depending on his audience. If he wants a particular reaction out of someone, he will act in a way he knows will draw that reaction out. Those who discover this about Misha might deem him manipulative; Misha consoles himself with the knowledge that he never does anything to purposely hurt someone.
Intrusive - Misha’s life is an open book; he puts it all online without too many filters. Unfortunately, this has given him a bit of a skewed perspective. He assumes other people are in need of as much attention as he is, and if he likes or cares about someone, this can make him seem like an invasive pest. Misha has been called nosy and meddlesome. He will ask dozens of questions and hunt for more information if it means he’ll acquire a deeper understanding of someone, and if he thinks someone needs help but won’t ask for it themselves, he will insert himself into the problem and do what he thinks needs to be done to resolve it. He might even film himself as he does so. Misha does it out of love, but it can be annoying at best and overwhelming at worst.
Opportunistic - Kind though he might be by nature, Misha still has a bit of an opportunistic streak. He has morals and a good sense of ethics, but if he sees something to be gained out of a situation, he can be tempted to bend or adjust his morals to compensate. For most of his life, the only people Misha had to look out for were himself and his older brother; everyone else was ultimately expendable, even if he happened to like them. That still holds true to this day. Fortunately for those who might consider themselves his friends, Misha is willing to expand who and what he considers indispensable to include them, so long as they deem him equally important.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Misha has large, bright
green eyes fringed by long, thick lashes. When everything else about him seems pale and unimpressive, Misha considers his eyes to be his most attractive feature. They stand out vividly on camera.
Hair: Misha has blond hair, a shade lighter than his older brother
Lev, straight but thick enough that it doesn’t lack volume. For the longest time, Misha kept his hair long and shaggy, often to his shoulders and slightly unkempt, refusing to push it back even when it fell into his face. His parents hated it and took to encouraging him to cut it shorter. “You’d look so handsome if you just trimmed your hair,” his mother always said.
Misha likes to do what his parents tell him, but in such a way that they still end up being displeased. While he was hanging out at one of his brother’s recent photoshoots, Misha had a stylist cut his hair into a chin length bob with bangs. He assumed it would look hideous and make his parents angry. He succeeded in making his parents angry, but failed at looking hideous. It actually turned out kind of cute. Misha blames his baby face and delicate bone structure. Now his hair is too short to fall into his face and he can’t pull much of it back even if he wanted to, but he’ll sometimes rock a half ponytail.
Face: Misha has a fair complexion, and a heart-shaped face with large eyes. The rest of his features are on the small side, from his delicate chin to his pointed nose. Even as an adult, he looks sort of pixie-ish and child-like. He used to hate it and wished for the sort of strong good looks his older brother was fortunate enough to inherit, but Misha’s adoring fans seem to gravitate toward his naturally cute aesthetic. Still, he continues to claim that Lev got all the good looks from their parents while
he got stuck looking unfortunate. Maybe he likes the vehement denial and abundance of compliments he receives from his fans when he does so.
Physique: Standing at an unimpressive 5’5”, Misha is definitely on the short and narrow side. Though he’s healthy, Misha would probably look frail to most people, like a gust of wind could blow him over at any moment. On the plus side, he can eat whatever he wants in as big a quantity as he likes and not gain any weight.
Clothes: Misha prefers comfortable clothing such as leggings and sweatpants, often paired with loose shirts or oversized sweaters, though he will occasionally dig out a pair of tight skinny jeans if he wants to look more put together. He hates professional clothing and avoids most situations that involve wearing a suit and tie. He likes slip-on shoes, and accessorizes with cute jackets, as well as scarves and hats during colder weather. More often than not, he picks clothing in neutral colors and jewel tones.
Misha calls his favorite look “lazy chic.” If he can wear it around town without looking too slovenly but not have to change out of it to be comfortable when he lies down for a nap, chances are he likes it.
