Welcome to the Oblivion Phone manual
This guide is how your character can use oblivion phones. The phone that each student and staff member can contact each other on without giving too much information about themselves. Since we have so many mixtures of class here, we do not want people seeking you out based on your status, so this phone will not give out last names. The phone will automatically put a contact in based on how you would put them in also. The phone you are equipped with is in tune to you and you alone. No one else can see your screen and you do not have to share what is on your phone. We can assure you however there is a security function for those that use the phone for wrongdoing so do not be tempted to use the phone for anything but keeping in contact with others.
How to use the phone:
Basically, it is whatever you need when you need it. It cannot conjure things for you, unfortunately, you will have to conjure your own things, but it can show you maps of the school grounds and of the wizard world. You can think about or want to search something, and the phone will have it brought up on its screen without being prompted or asked. Ignore it unless you wanted to do actual research on it. Get the wizard news or updates on the human apocalypse when you want it. The phone knows your schedule and will alert you if you are not near your next class or appointment. You do not have to set reminders for the phone is intuitive enough to know what you want to attend and what you do not want to attend. It will however prompt you to go to things like assemblies held by Headmaster Oblivion. Please do keep an eye out for those type of things.
How to create contacts:
The phone does all the work for you. You just place your phone over the other person's phone and voila. You got their contact in your phone the way you want it. Emojis and things might be put next to the names of your classmate but that is for fun. If you are a more serious person things like that simply will not happen. All your teachers that you need to be talking to are in there along with the counselors' contact and the librarian's contact. You guys can shoot them text but the conversations in them will be strictly professional for that is how our staff is trained. We do not want any run in with relationships between students and staff.
Maintenance:
The phone does not need to be charged so you can explore as much as you'd like as long as you get back to your classes. Phone needs little to no maintenance. If you ever for whatever reason need a new phone come see me, the headmaster, and I will give you a new phone.
Some notes:
-We strongly urge since these phones are designed to protect privacy of high-class families that you do not create contact for anything other than friendship or class needs.
-We can see all that you text but will not look at the things you say unless there is a flagged conversation. These are things like: using the phone for less than savory means. Like, student and teacher relationships.
