Breathing deeply and allowing her eyes to close halfway, Ogygia paused in her patrolling in order to savor the cool, crisp air. Winter was fast approaching and she couldn't wait for the colder weather. Not that she enjoyed the cold, but she couldn't deny that there was something magical about winter time.
As she mentally calculated, she felt the soft touch of an aura against her senses. This one felt light and almost airy, which meant that it was a safe one to track down and find the owner of. Smiling a little, Ogygia traced the source. But, since she wasn't sure of the reception she'd recieve, she was careful to be obvious in her approach.
The last thing she wanted to do was scare someone.

Silistra was still trying to get her footing in this world of magic and darkness, she didn't really know what she was doing just yet. She still needed to go to her sphere where her powers came from. She hadn't really figured out much about her powers yet anyway since her lamp didn't seem to have any magic yet. She was still looking for a mentor who could help guide her on her path through this mess. So she was out powered up as Page Silistra. She hoped she would meet other knights while she was out searching at knight since it was their duty to protect others. She jumped from rooftop to rooftop. She stopped on the top of one of the rooves and looked around.

As she neared, Ogygia thought she saw someone on top of one of the buildings. And since the building itself didn't look too terribly high, she grinned and took a running start before leaping and just barely managing to land on the roof's edge.
Okay, so maybe she was showing off, but she really did want to meet new people. And this was the most efficient way of doing so.
Unfortunately, the knight was a complete unknown to her. Sizing the other girl up briefly, Ogygia smiled cheerfully and decided that she liked the cute little bonnet. It was adorable in a weird, old fashioned way.
"Hello! I can tell you're a knight, but I'm not sure who your sponsor might be! You don't mind me being nosy do you?"
Then, as an afterthought, "I'm Ogygia, squire of Cosmos."

Silistra blinked like a deer in the headlights as she was greeted by the other knight, she was surprised and shocked to be greeted so brightly and boldly. She expected to search all knight or perhaps for many knights before she found anyone. "Umm I well.." She said softly. "Umm if you mean mentor I don't have one yet." She said just as softly. "I'm Silistra page of Saturn." She looked around as if she was considering running for it, this knight made her a bit nervous, but if she did run she wouldn't learn anything. So she took a deep breath and held her ground.

"Then Saturn would be your sponsor, I think," Ogygia answered brightly. "It's lovely to meet you."
Her voice trailed off as she noticed the other knight's discomfort. Oh hell.
"I'm so sorry if I scared you!" she began. "I was trying to come up slow enough so you'd be able to sense me. It seems like I didn't do as good a job of that as I thought."
Even in the midst of apologizing, she'd taken note of the Saturn knight's admission to not really having anyone to show her the ropes. And while Ogygia knew that she was absolutely the wrong person for the job, she did know a few fighting tricks that she could possibly teach as a way to make up for intruding on Silistra.
"I'm afraid I don't know much about Saturn's knights as you're the first I've ever met," she said slowly. "So I don't think I'm really mentor material, but I know a couple of tricks for if you ever have to fight?"

She sighed out softly and then said "Oh, well I'm still learning I only awoke to my powers recently and got a crash course at being a knight when many in the city were transported to the village, did you go?" She asked in her normal tone. Silistra nodded "Anything you can teach me is welcome, I met another knight in the village who told me the duty of all knight is to fight against the forces of darkness. I can't really do that if I don't learn how to hold my own in a fight." Which she really had no idea how to do. She summoned her lamp. Holding it up. "This is my weapon." She said shyly.

Listening in mystified silence, Ogygia wondered what on earth Silistra could be talking about? She hadn't noticed anyone missing recently, but then again, how would she know? As long as she had her cousin around she rarely aid attention to where everyone else might go.
"I'm really sorry, but the only village I know of is the crappy M. Knight Shamalalalala movie," she said gently. But it sounds like you had help there, so that's really good."
She smiled in delight at the little lamp and decided that at least in this way knights and negaverse were much the same. Neither side really got the good stuff right out of the gate.
"Well, Silistra of Saturn," she said in a solemn voice before breaking into a cheerful grin, "I'm not a great fighter, but as I said I do know a few tricks that will hopefully help you. I'm afraid your weapon won't be much help until you get stronger, but you can always bonk the enemy over the head with it if you need to."
Circling the other girl for a moment, Ogygia took a step back and decided that knowing how to throw a punch would be useful to start.
"Make a fist for me, would you?"

She shook her head "I wish it ended that quickly and was that simple." She sighed. Silistra liked creepy movies but she didn't want to live in one. She sighed out a long breath. "Well, I bet you are a better fighter than I am, before last week I had never fought before." Silistra smiled then and laughed softly and said "Well, yes I suppose I can at least do that, kicking also seemed to do alright. I fought a creature in the village recently, but many were saying we shouldn't fight the creature, so I stopped fighting and went to help those who were hurt instead." She said softly. She blinked and frowned and tried to make a fist. Holding her thumb inside her fist. "Like this?"

"You shouldn't compare yourself to others," Ogygia said in a soft, musing voice. She was really going to have to find out more about this village thing later if there had been monsters running around. "It's not fair to you when you do. Take pride in yourself for the things you can do and practice the things you aren't so good in until you get better. That's all."
Nodding agreeably, Ogygia indicated that kicking was entirely valid. In fact, she herself did better in the kicking department. She just wished she could remember the hows and whys of that a bit better.
Smiling encouragingly at Silistra, she tried not to wince at the fist the girl made. Silently, she reached out to gently open the knight's fist just enough to move her thumb to lay across her fingers rather than tucked inside.
"The other way is a good way to end up with a broken or dislocated thumb," she explained matter of factly before patting the fist. "I know some self injury can happen, but best to not tip the odds against yourself. Now," she continued in a crisp voice. "I want you to come at me. Try to knock me down. You don't have access to magic yet, so you need to learn the physical stuff."
Focusing for a moment, Ogygia summoned her own weapons and grew about two inches as her boots sprouted crystal heels.
Shaking herself out, the Squire grinned.
"All right. Come at me."

Silistra listened to Ogygia it made sense but it wasn't easy, after all, everyone sometimes compared themselves to others even if they didn't realize it. She sighed "I will try." She fussed with her dress. Silistra was not a prideful sort. She felt like she was too plain compared to other girls in her everyday life and too weak compared to other magic users. "How did you become so confident Ogygia?" She asked. She really needed to learn how Ogygia was able to be so bold and Silistra felt like a little mouse. She allowed Ogygia to move her hand for her, so she wouldn't break her thumb. She then took a deep breath and attempted to throw a punch she put some weight behind it, but it was still a clumsy attempt and not a very hard hit. She at least sorta hit, even if it wasn't very well done. She then promptly stumbled since she had no idea what she was doing in hand to hand fighting. She got up and dusted herself off and turned around to face Ogygia again. Blushing at her sad attempt.

Confident? Her? For a moment, the tall squire had to fight to keep from visibly looking around for anyone with confidence. But she managed. It wouldn't do any good for Silistra to know just how shaky Ogygia was in that particular department.
"I wouldn't consider it confidence on my part so much as a wish to be able to defend myself. I know what's out there and how bad it can be, you see."
She spoke simply and focused instead on the page's attempt. Yes, Silistra stumbled and her heart clearly was not in it. But she was also just starting to learn. She'd get better.
Because if she didn't, she'd be lucky to die. Best to not think of it, though.
Stepping forward, she reached out to help brush the other girl off.
"Not bad. Getting you to where you can throw a decent punch is definitely a priority. But let's try something else. Defend yourself from me. I'll pull punches and kicks as much as I can, but sweating and bruising will be happening."
Oh, this was very mean, but it had to be done. Without any further warnings, she went for the page, throwing punches and kicks. If she could shock Silistra into actually fighting back, maybe she could pinpoint areas to work on for improvement.

Silistra listened and nodded, when she was suddenly attacked she blinked and was hit and kicked a few times before she raised her lamp to block and she attempted to dodge. She was stuck on the defensive. It took a long time before she swung her arm out with her lamp in it in an attempt to make the attacks stop. She was out of breath but she was high on adrenaline and would need to rest after this and likely ice a lot of wounds. She didn't think to ask her to stop, though that might have been the wise thing to do.

Panting slightly, Ogygia decided to call a halt to this little exercise the moment Silistra's lamp clipped her ear. Holding up a hand, she took a step back and stretched, feeling vertebrae crackle back into place. She was going to need a hot soak if she wanted to be able to move in the morning with as hard as she'd been pulling punches.
Silistra would probably need a soak more. She'd done her best to not damage the page, but she knew that enough of her blows had landed with bruising force. And the other girl looked positively winded.
"Enough," the squire panted. "You'll at least fight back and that's a good start."
Turning a stern eye onto the page, Ogygia sought for the right words. Silistra needed proper training and Ogygia simply wasn't knowledgeable enough yet with the white moon to know where to send her. Maybe Nix?
"Tonight, you go home and take a long hot bath. Make the water as hot as you can stand, maybe a little hotter. Trust me, your muscles will thank you. Take some aspirin and rest. And then tomorrow, you find the closest martial arts studio and you sign up for self defense classes. There are people on our side who can help teach you too, but I need to track them down first and see if they're free."
After a pause, Ogygia smiled.
"You did better than I would have expected from the way you'd been talking earlier. Now, go home and do what I said. Otherwise, your muscles are going to stiffen up and get cold and then good luck moving in the morning!"
Chuckling a little to remove any sting from her words, Ogygia reached out and gave Silistra a friendly shoulder squeeze.
"You did good. Now go take that bath!"
