Briallen was an absolute bundle of chaotic energy some days. It just so happened that today was one of those days with the autumn winds bringing about some sort of energy with their light chill that made her skin shiver just so. Already the youngling had played around their home, doing some chores before swinging wildly on her little vine swing and getting bored enough to wander a bit away into the forests of their home on Chiume. "I'm booooored." She sighed into the trees before twisting around so that her feet kicked at some stray leaves. It was still amazing to her that some of the trees actually changed colors and lost their leaves whenever the cooler weather arrived! In fact....well she had a slight idea just from the sight of the discarded leaves and soon enough the youngling found herself racing back and forth throughout the forest clearing to gather every fallen leaf that she could find. Eventually a pile had started to form and after a careful look around, Briallen found herself leaping into the pile with a loud giggle. Wheee! Her laughter quickly became muffled as she found herself burrowing inside of the giant leaf pile that she had created.

A mischievous thought struck her and the girl found herself repositioning, her small hands digging the tiniest of holes so that she could peer outside. Maybe, just maybe, she could spot someone else walking by and give them a good scare! The thought made her giggle quietly under her breath as she kept in position, just waiting to see who would fall for her newest trick.

One attempt at reigning in Faenna's somewhat chaotic energy was to keep her busy with some extra training courses. Even after an hour of swinging a youngling-sized spear around, the girl had plucked up a stick to swing at invisible enemies. It may have been a time of peace, but the grandest and most interesting stories were not about peaceful times. Besides, those bad Elarians that were over on Yael could change their minds at any time and strike!

At least, that was what her teacher said. Faenna was going to be ready! Rather than head straight home after her lesson, she opted to take a little detour to explore.

She struck out at the falling leaves within reach, her expression lighting up when she saw someone ahead of her through the trees. "On guard!" she called out with a playful growl, stick held out in front of her like a sword as she hopped around a trunk. "Are you friend or foe?"

Scar
Hesperia was too intent on the leaves at her feet, and not on the path infront of her, and so when another young voice called out she jolted, snapping her head up to the sight of a familiar Alkidike brandishing a branch. Immediately, a broad smile bloomed across her face - she'd found someone to play with! Immediately, she ducked down to grab for ... something, anything - but unluckily, there was nothing to be found except-- a pinecone.

A pinecone which she snatched up and held, aloft, as if she would throw it. "Who's askin'? Are youuu... an earthling?! Or a pesky elitist?!"

Of course - it was all in good fun, she knew that this was one of her fellow Aishan sisters - but clearly there was a game afoot, and she hadn't established whether she was meant to be the Elaria spy or the foolish earthling who stumbled too close to their home.

Briallen continued waiting but the more she waited the more impatient she became. The young Alkidike pursed her lips in frustration as she watched the other two younglings interacting with one another. Was Faenna gonna have all the fun with their cousin while she had to sit here quietly? No fair at all! Protested Briallen quietly to herself before the inkling of an idea started to form. Rather than just waiting for them to come closer to her leaf pile why not entice them somehow? Her antenna flicked happily at the thought as she immediately perked up and slowly started to make some strange lower noises from the leaves. Was it a small creature? A wind brushing them about? Or something even scarier? She did her best to try to make low indiscriminate noises that sounded spooky at the same time. Once they got closer she was going to do her best to jump out and scare them both!

Faenna rolled to the side, dodging the aerial attack grandly. For her part, she was too caught up in playing her part to really give much thought to the rustling from the nearby pile of leaves aside from a confused glance. Whatever it was, she could use it to her advantage! "All is fair in war! Even nature comes to help me in my cause!"

Her brow knit slightly when she realized that she couldn't pinpoint what the noises being made were. What sort of animal was in there? "You are here to help.. right, nature?" she asked hesitantly, eyes flicking between the young Vandrea and the leaves. What if it was something dangerous? Maybe they should figure out what it was, first?

Scar

Hesperia didn't buy it - there HAD to be someone in that bush, hiding - a friend of Faenna's, no doubt. And at first, she thought the alkidike's triumphant call was proof of it. But... instead, after a moment, the other girl appeared to grow nervous, and suddenly they had both turned to the ominously moaning bush, pale and suspicious.

She trembled, unwilling to get closer- but... after a moment, she tugged stubbornly at her Aishan pride and forced herself forward, "S-s-show yourself! In the name of Aisha!" She squeaked, chucking her armful of pinecones at the quivering pile of leaves with a fearful shriek.

Sabra

Ooh! Briallen winced slightly whenever a pinecone bounced away from her hiding spot. It seemed that the tides had turned and that she was the one under attack! The youngling blinked in surprise before shaking her head, the movement nearly costing her the covering of leaves. Thankfully she realized her mistake just in time and managed to grab at a few leaves before noticing that Faenna was turning on her as well. Her sister seemed a bit bolder, her movements taking her close enough to make Briallen confident in her next move. "Gaaah!" She yelled loudly before pouncing out of the leaves and into her sister, the attacking noise turning into a flurry of giggles as she latched onto the other Alkidike. "Gotcha!" As she tumbled into Faenna, Briallen took a moment to glance towards the Vandrea. "Did you two dare to challenge the leaf monster?" She playfully quipped as she held tightly onto the fistful of leaves that she had grabbed when she pounced from the pile.

Faenna's shriek of fear rang out right along with Hesperia's, limbs flailing while she was tackled back. Once she realized what- or who- had jumped her, the high pitched fear turned into laughter. "Brialleeeeeen!" she huffed, swatting the top of her sister's head. Then she wrapped her arms around her sister and rolled to try pinning Briallen down. Dark eyes shining, she looked over to the Vandrea with a big grin. "We must join forces to bring down the leaf monster!" she called out. The echoing of enemies joining forces to fight another enemy from their mother's stories was not lost on her, and seemed to make the play all the more enjoyable.
