Zyphire always enjoyed his visits to Matori. The islands were much warmer than Zena and the sound of the ocean was always relaxing. The shifter was in lighter travel leathers, his long white hair tied back with a ribbon, and he was casually walking through a smaller Matori town in search of something to snack on. Constantly eating dried jerky and fruits with some stale bread and cheese while traveling grew old after a while and Zyphire wanted something especially sweet. It would be a perfect treat, a payment to himself for his hard work delivering things from the sanctuary to some clients all the way out in Oba and Matori. "But where should I look?" He pondered out loud, twisting on a heel while tapping two fingers lightly on his chin as he glanced about. A tavern would be a good place to go but he wasn't looking for ale or a heavy stew at the moment. They could have some sweet pies perhaps but he highly doubted it. Wasn't there some sort of sweet shop perhaps?

Maybe over there? Nah, that place seemed a bit too shady for his liking. Would probably serve some old fish and call it a surprise dessert. Zyphire quipped to himself before turning to try another direction. However he had only been expecting to find a new street and not a stumbling block when he moved away. "Oof!" The Shifter blinked in surprise as he connected with something rather small and whenever he realized it was a youngling the sharp retort quickly left his mind in place of concern. "Are you alright?" He asked, quickly crouching so that he could get a better glimpse of the young girl who seemed mostly Matori yet somewhat different, "No need to apologize but are you okay? Should take care to look out when you're moving through the streets."

"Good." Zyphire smiled before shifting so that he could stand again. If she was alright then there was no need to worry, right? The Shifter almost turned away before her next statement gained his attention. "Dessert you say?" His silver gaze studied her for a moment and he found himself nodding as she explained the whole situation, "So it'll have to be something truly amazing then." He was interesting in finding some amazing desserts himself so maybe he could linger a bit and help out the little one. It seemed like a beneficial idea enough for the two of them to team up in this endeavor. Zyphire chuckled at her enthusiasm."Nice! Look at you earning so much. I think you might even have more than me." He teased with a playful wink before gazing about again. "I would like something sweet myself so maybe we can try to find a place together? Do you have any ideas? I'm new here so I've just been wandering around a bit."

She was honestly too adorable. Zyphire was constantly a sucker for little ones especially when they had such a sweet temperament and so far she seemed to fit that personality. "Hmm. Good question." He pursed his lips as he thought over their options, "Candies are always nice but sometimes it's best to come back with some sort of cake so you can have even more fun sharing it. What do you think?" He grinned towards her, "I'm partial to cakes myself but if you prefer candies then we can go that way."

"An artist?" Zyphire smiled, "I'm sure you'll do great one day. I mean look at what you already made and you're just starting out! Maybe I should have asked to see your art before we went shopping for sweets." He clicked his tongue in his mouth as if in shame. "Next time." The Shifter followed along until the reached the shop and studied the display. "Maybe you can find a cake that has some candies on top of it? I've seen some chocolate ones with truffles and others with chocolate covered berries." He pointed to a smaller cake with several chocolate covered berries arranged around the top with frosting that dripped down the sides. Now that looked tasty to him! Then again Zyphire was also notorious for having a ridiculous sweet tooth which often showed up whenever he was left alone to bake at home. There were always some sort of sweets coming from the kitchen whenever he was around. "I don't really have anyone today to share with but I do enjoy sharing treats with my family whenever I'm back in Zena with them." He commented after a moment as he glanced back towards the youngling, "Do you like really sweet cakes or do you prefer lighter or more fruity flavors?"

Zyphire nodded. "I'll be around for a bit longer hopefully and if not just keep it on hold until I come through next time?" He didn't want to lie to her and make her disappointed after all. Surely he could take a bit more time to enjoy this vacation of sorts before returning to Zena. "They have little tarts with different fruits on them. Maybe those?" He suggested gesturing towards the display before the sudden touch got his attention. A soft chuckle left his lips before he nodded. "I suppose I can buy something for both of us to try together and then you can get something to take home for your family if you'd like?"

Zyphire couldn't help but to grin at the youngling's enthusiasm. "Sounds like a good plan." He chuckled before studying her once more. "I suppose if we're sharing a dessert that we should at least introduce ourselves. I'm Zyphire." That stated he gestured towards the doors. "I'll buy the chocolate cake with the berries if that's okay. I prefer the heavier sweets myself." He could help her pick out her tarts and then they could share the cake before he walked her towards her home. It wouldn't hurt to make certain that she got home okay since he had already finished his own errands for the day. What else was he to do besides just laze about on the beach before returning to his room at the inn? Seems like a good plan to me as long as she's okay with it as well. Either way he was just excited to finally get a treat after all of his hard work this week.
