Prompt 6: The little village is unnaturally empty and devoid of all life sans that which came from Destiny City. To add to the eeriness of everything, sometimes a small area will randomly feel cold and unnerving more than the rest of the town. Close investigation of the area will result in finding a small piece of weathered metal; you can just barely make out runes carved into it, but it's not large enough for you to make out anything. As soon as the metal is picked up, the mood in the area immediately fades and, oddly, you feel safer holding it. You may only find one of these per character!
While Thierry the weird, maybe, definitely not a man, ally(?) had taken a walk, Glen had chosen to take one of his own. He figured, if he was right and it wasn't the weird food, and Thierry WAS one of those mauvian cats, he'd likely go somewhere wild, like the forest. So Glen decided to stick to the town proper, and was beginning to regret that. Sure he ran into a few people, but he made little effort to talk or interact with them, especially the negaverse guys, they could suck it in his opinion and just stay here. If he didn't run into or dodge anyone, then he'd encounter a weird part of the village that was just cold, like in those descriptions of ghosts. "There better not be ******** ghosts here." He murmured in a vain move into denial, of COURSE this weird place would probably have ghosts, and just his luck the one person he maybe trusted wasn't around, because Glen really didn't care he was a cat honestly, it was the idea this village could just make him so human looking, take away apart of himself, but then, had it not done that to Glen? After all, the blond had secretly been trying to power up for the last two and a half weeks now, it felt like, and he hadn't been able to at all. Well, that certainly would help him now, to transform, maybe, if he could punch ghosts when he was powered up it'd help anyway. He kept walking, until he realized the cold feeling had come back, and with a deep feeling of fear. Great, Glen thought, his day had clearly improved then. He sighed, figuring he might as well figure out what it was that was causing the feeling, because, he reasoned, it had to be something that wasn't a ghosts and no, he was not afraid of ghosts, that's not why he wanted it so badly to NOT be ghosts dammit. He looked around, shivering as he touched and poked the area, again, an activity he really didn't want to do but whatever at this point, he was at the whims of the town. Eventually he noticed a rather odd piece of metal, picking it up, with his limited vision, he noticed it had strange runes on it. Was someone messing with him!? That was seriously something out of a horror game! It even radiated a feeling, albeit a nice one but it still hit another marker of someone has clearly just trapped him and dozens of others into a video game.He was panicking he realized, and he clutched the metal a bit tighter, feeling calm, and it trapped him in a calm/panic cycle for a few minutes, until he slapped himself, determined to just, go with it he figured, maybe show Thierry. If the guy was a cat, maybe he'd know what the runes said. He headed back to the house he and Thierry were hiding in, bumping into the man himself.
