Prompt 1: In a village in the middle of an eerie forest, you need shelter. There are many empty houses speckled across a central village, each with its own customizable features. The houses are always made of wood and field stone. They lack all modern commodities, however there is crude indoor plumbing. There are thick glass windows, misty and difficult to see through, and thick wooden doors that are heavy and difficult to move--however all of them have barricades on the inside to keep intruders out. Most houses have several rooms and some even have multiple floors, but there is something aged and almost crumbling about each of them. They are safer than nothing, but they are cold and uninviting. You need to claim one of these homes for yourself, but with so many unknowns, it's probably best to find a group to stick with and have your back. Do you try to take on this oddity in a house, alone? Or do you manage to find people to get along with and share a house with?
After parting from the gathered group the senshi of vampires had decided to look over the homes in the village. If they were going to be stuck here they would need to settle into these homes, at least for some amount of time, and she was hoping to find one which she could make her own. She wasn’t planning to share with anyone else, at least not yet, she wanted to see how things went without sharing first. These were people she didn’t know and hadn’t worked with before. She wasn’t much for jumping right into trusting people in such a place.
Peeking into the homes it soon became apparent that they all had a way to bar the front doors closed. That was strange but also unsettling. You only had something like that because you needed it. What was here that would require a barring of the door, she assumed at night, there was something dangerous here...but what? They’d find out - she was sure.
Figuring on something with two floors, the bedrooms on the second floor, she thought it was a good idea. Second floor bedrooms meant if something, or someone, broke down the door she’d have time to get up and move before they got up the stairs and to whatever bedroom she occupied it was safe and considering something dangerous as about it might be a good idea. That in mind she did go for a second floor home and after searching the whole place she had gathered whatever bedding she could and dumped it all into one room.
She might not have access to the warmth of a fireplace with a bedroom up here but she wasn’t sure that was a good idea anyway. It might alert people to her being in the ho9use and that wasn’t good either. With all the blankets she should be good anyway - right?
Checking the kitchen showed some stored food but not much, she’d have to figure that out somehow, and the 0ipes that ran water were questionable to say the least. This wasn’t going to be good, or easy, but she was going to need to make it work somehow. Maybe she would need to work with someone else...but not yet, she wanted to try on her own first. She didn’t know anyone else really.
Moving across wha had to be a living room the senshi of vampires went to bar th3e door, for now, so she could safely explore and take stock of what she had in the place. She needed time to think and inventory the place. Some things she would need to find, outside of the house, and other things she might not even need or want. The place really was cold and it looked close to falling apart but all the others looked the same, and likely were cold and drafty, it was why she had grabbed whatever bedding she could find and had tossed it all onto one bed. She needed to keep warm at night and when she was in this place as well, it wouldn't do well to catch a cold or wind up feeling drained and unwell due to a chill, she was going to need heat and not the sort a fireplace would provide. It didn’t seem like a safe idea, plus she didn’t need the lace to burn down around her while she slept.
Mind set on what she needed to sdo the senshi went to further investigate the place and gather everything she felt she’d need.
