Danika had always gifted others with new blooms. She was accustomed to seeing each blessing from Aisha and knowing its family based on the aura and appearance of the blossom. However, seeing one that reached out to her own spirit was still almost unbelievable. It was so astonishing that Danika had to ask Eshe to also check the pair of blooms that grew at the base of Aisha's roots. Her heart was so full of joy when she found out that Danika helped to quickly wrap up with her morning duties so that she could seek out Vermina. The pair had become lovers recently and already Aisha had surprised them with the greatest blessing. I cannot believe it! Danika was a mixture of excitement and nerves as she raced through Chibale in search of her partner.
Would she be along the shores? Was she working on things for others? Danika bit her bottom lip thoughtfully as she forced herself to calm down and take slower steps. It would do no good if she stumbled and tripped on the way to share the good news! She knew that Vermina had wanted daughters but was it too soon? Would she be happy? Please. Danika let out a soft prayer as she thought about how to break the news to Vermina. Surely Aisha was truly pleased to have given them such a great blessing and so early in their relationship as well! Though if she truly thought about things it felt as if Vermina had been in her life forever. Whether or not they realized it the two of them had formed a special relationship years ago before finally admitting to their love for one another. And now? They could share that love with little ones. Despite whatever path the future held for them both they already had something important to protect that represented their deep bond. The thought made Danika's lips curve upwards into a bright smile as she continued her search along the shores for Vermina.

After making a piece of jewelry for Danika, Vermina had decided to leave that work to the professionals. It had been interesting to try, certainly. It really hadn't turned out that bad, in her humble opinion. Still, it was an intricate task that she had only dabbled if for the sake of a gift. Instead, she would stick with sewing. It felt nice to work on what she was most comfortable with when her mind was so regularly in a flutter.
Figuring out the love of your life could do that to anyone.
Her mind was always drifting to the next time she would see Danika. To think that it was finally her turn for love... Vermina could be sitting in the middle of any chore, even cleaning out the radaku stable, and suddenly blush and giggle like a silly youngling with a crush. Even throughout the wild ride that had been the trip to Yael, the fluttering in her heart had not diminished. Such was the same today while she sat on the sandy beach, her eyes gazing distantly into the horizon and her sewing forgotten in her hands while her mind faded into the peace that closure and true love brought.

Danika's steps slowed as she finally spotted Vermina. After the meeting with the Elaria there had been a nonstop flurry of events as Danika traveled from Chibale all the way to Yael to help with Elzira. Their travels had taken almost two months and barely gave Danika much time to spend alone with Vermina. So her heart jumped at the sight of her lover and even more so knowing what she knew now. A small smile crossed her features before she slowly sank down on the sand next to Vermina. "Enjoying the view?" She asked quietly as she settled down, her skirts rustling as she stretched her legs out so that her feet could burrow into the warm sands. It was a beautiful sight and more so that Vermina was there too. The thought made Danika's cheeks flush slightly as she studied the other Alkidike. Honestly it truly felt like it had been forever since she had a quite moment to enjoy like this with Vermina and it was hard to not quickly spill the news.

Vermina's attention only slowly shifted back to the world around her, registering the steps softened by the shifting sand. She hadn't been expecting Danika at this time of the day, and hearing that beloved voice sent a delighted heat right to her cheeks. "Not really," she admitted with a giggle. "It is beautiful, but I was quite lost in thought." Dropping the sewing carefully, her now free hand reached over to link their fingers together. It felt so nice to be able to make such a move without concern for appearance. Speaking of which... "I have to say, the view has improved greatly since I last looked."

"Has it?" Danika smiled playfully as she squeezed Vermina's fingers. "May I ask what you were thinking about?" She mused softly as she leaned against Vermina and settled against her shoulder. The young mystic let out a sigh of contentment, her relaxed pose a true testiment to how truly comfortable she was with Vermina. Danika studied the waters as she spoke, the quietly rolling waves making her even more relaxed. Even the waters seemed extra brilliant today and Danika couldn't help noticing it. Perhaps it was mostly her excitement and happiness from the news she had just learned but it really did seem to be a beautiful day. The ocean breeze was like a friend, its brush against her skin a constant reminder that she was actually awake and not simply dreaming about this day.

Vermina let out a relaxing breath and shifted to be sure she was supporting Danika enough. "Well, there is plenty to be thinking about." Danika seemed to be radiating some sort of positive mood, and Vermina was loath to bring up any of the lesser thoughts when everything around them pointed toward how lovely life was. "At the risk of sounding too sentimental, the main thought on my mind lately has been you. I'm.. just so happy through everything that has been going on because of what we have."

"Ah." Danika couldn't help the flush that decorated her cheeks. Vermina was simply too sweet and her kind words always warmed Danika's heart. That was one of the many reasons that the mystic had let her guard down and fallen for the other Alkidike in the first place. "I'm glad that you feel that way even if it does sound a bit too sentimental." She teased lightly as she rested her head against Vermina's shoulders. Her gaze studied the ocean thoughtfully for a moment more before she spoke again. "I suppose a lot has been going on in the last few months and even more so now that I'm back in Chibale. It seems Aisha has plans to keep me very busy before we leave for the new island. We should enjoy these quiet moments while we can." Danika casually dropped the hint with a tiny grin. Perhaps she should have said to keep them busy instead but she was afraid then it would be too obvious that something was changing in their future...together.

The warmth in her belly continued to spread and make Vermina feel at ease despite the tease. She set her sewing off to the side to make sure there was no accidental needle stabbing and let her eyes rise the the ocean. This time, she did take a moment to enjoy the view. Was there any sight more lovely? Aside from Danika, of course!
"Before?" Vermina cocked her head slightly to peer down at Danika's face, though only got an eyeful of dark hair. Thinking about leaving for the new island was still intimidating, but she was steadily adjusting to it. Perhaps it would be best to keep busy to reduce time thinking on it. "I am sure you have a lot to do before we go. After all, they will have to be able to handle all of the duties that you have been in charge of. I hope they are not being too hard on preparing you for the trip. "

Danika was thankful that Vermina couldn't see her expression. It was almost too hard to hide the truth let alone the obvious smile that was crossing her lips whenever she thought about the news! If she were a bit more vain perhaps Danika would assume that their blessing was Aisha's way of expressing gratitude for the recent peace but the mystic was simply humbled by the fact that they were receiving blooms. "Thankfully they haven't been too hard. The Elders and Eshe are comfortable with such duties since they've been doing them for years without me after all. It's more that everyone is adjusting to this new peace now that we helped the Elaria." A small sigh left her lips. "I'm certain there are some who are not happy with these developments but I am grateful that we managed to form an alliance." Even if it was a bit shaky still and she was wary enough to hide details from the other tribes just as a precaution at least they were on speaking terms now and not trying to kill each other.
"Vermina? You're still okay with traveling more with me, right?" Danika found herself whispering softly as she rested against her lover. "Even if things get busier not solely for me but for you as well? I'm worried about you feeling overwhelmed especially.....well especially when our numbers may change soon." They were in a strange era where the Aishans were spreading across Tendaji and she was working as a liason of sorts by traveling to the new island in Belrea. Someone had to check on the new tree who was skilled and knowledgeable in the mystic arts after all. To think I once thought I would never see beyond the shores of Chibale save for if we were in grave danger. She was much happier with this peace instead of fighting any wars.

Vermina laughed lightly. Of course Eshe would be fine. In her own short life though, Danika had always been there helping! The idea of her not being there seemed like a big change! Of course, life on Chibale was not dependent on only one sister, mystic or not. "I am relieved that the alliance is there now. The exile was a loss for so many. Perhaps there is still a way to make up for so much lost time now that the bridge it there to allow a connection again." Not everyone was willing to meet on that metaphorical bridge, her mother included in that unfortunate list, but they could be thankful for those that did make the journey.
"I am," she replied without hesitation. Still, her eyes shifted away with doubt nibbling along the edges. What if she wasn't good enough to make the trip? What if she just became a burden? What if-? "For me as well?" Now she shifted a little, trying to get a view of her lover's face. What was going on with this mysterious mystic? "Danika, is there something I should know? ..If Aisha has a task for me as well, I wish to do my best that I can for her."

"I'm glad that you feel that way." Danika replied quietly. "At least it will give those who have spent years reflecting upon things a chance to change and reconnect with those they lost." She knew not everyone would agree and many were angered by the second chances given to some of the extremists but it had been years and it was not fair to punish the Elaria for thier mothers' mistakes. Such feelings had given Danika the patience to try for this truce and she was thankful that many seemed to be accepting it. There would be those that were against such matters and they would keep an eye on them and their actions but for now at least it seemed like things were calm. It made her feel comfortable in the future that she was going to give her children....their children. Danika's cheeks flushed at the thought and she finally shifted so that she could look at Vermina directly.
"I suppose I should tell you." She began slowly with a small nod. "I would not say it is exactly a task but more a blessing? Thankfully we have secured peace with the Elaria and it seems like a good future for the next generation and well....Aisha seems to think its a good time for us, Vermina. We have blooms." Danika finally managed as she looked at Vermina expectantly, her stomach in knots as she wondered how the other Alkidike would take to the news.

It felt as though some days had too much to reflect on. "Having even a little resolution to that conflict is a relief," she mused. It would be a fragile dance for a while between those who had disconnected for so long; and particularly concerning the Elarians. This was a brand new connection that had been built upon stories of anger and hate. Fragile.. but it was hope.
Danika's hesitation was making Vermina nervous. What sort of responsibility was she going to face? It was important enough to cause Danika concern! She braced herself as the news fell to her ears, and what she got was nothing like she had expected.
She blinked a couple times, breath caught in her throat as she registered the information given to her. "We have blooms," she repeated slowly. 'Blooms... We have blooms...' Tears of joy quickly blurred her vision, and she reached out to take both of Danika's hands. "I.. Oh, Aisha! Danika!" The urge to crumble into a sobbing mess was tempting, but the shock and delight made her laugh through her tears. What were the right words?! "I love you, so much!"

Danika nodded at Vermina's statement. Vermina was right that even a little resolution was better than nothing. She just prayed to Aisha that in a couple of generations all would be forgotten and that things could be more stable. The future did not always have to inherit the hatred of the past after all. The thought made her smile as it reminded her of their own future generation that was growing peacefully beneath Aisha. Vermina's reaction made her expression even brighter and Danika found herself moving to place a tender kiss against the other Alkidike's forehead. "I love you so much as well! I never thought I would have a family before but here we are." Embracing Vermina, Danika let out a laugh. "Thank you so much for coming into my life, Vermina. We'll be busy for certain but it will be well worth it." And to think! Their daughters would be growing up in a peaceful world that they helped to create! The thought made Danika glow with pride and love. Aisha truly had given them so many blessings and the mystic could barely find the words to express the deep happiness and love that she was currently feeling in this moment. All she could do is squeeze Vermina tightly and pray that many more happy events awaited them in their future together.

Nothing in the future was certain! Vermina found herself in a place that she had never expected; though, most of it had always been hoped for. Love and a growing family... A recreation of peace... As rough as it had been to get here, she felt so lucky.
"Thank you," she insisted with a shaky laugh. Overwhelming indeed! It was entirely possible that this would have overwhelmed her before, but now, all she felt was excitement and love and hope for what was to come; for them, and all of her sisters and cousins.
