After stopping Rey at the carnival, Rey looks to settle the score with a certain Shark Faunus at Midnight a few days after the festival.

Rey would pull up to the area ready for a fight. It was obvious why he was there and his eyes were set on no one else except Maokai. Unfortunately for him, there were no teachers around and with Hades promotion security was running slim. So it was just going to be them two slugging it out! Would he actually show up or was he going to be a scared little....oh there he is Rey thought to himself. Walking closer and closer, he would unsheathe one of his blades, but not Serow and would have it resting against his shoulder. The look in his eyes said it all as his horns grew a little. This was truly going to be a fight and it did not matter what he thought or how he thought. He was going to get beaten up and Rey was going to enjoy every last second of knocking the crap out of the human boy. “Are you going to run or draw your weapon. You won't get this chance again!” Rey commented before starting to strip off his shirt. It was go time!

Maokai was quite shocked when Rey decided to fight him, he was angry and furious which was not something Maokai was used to get thrown at him, from his memory all he remembers are the scared faces of people and yelling at him, calling him a murderer which… while true it was never something he wanted to do, he was just like any average kid that age who always did what his parents wanted him to do. But now getting those similar faces of anger and rage for the exact opposite? What the ****!? Yes, the guy was not someone with good intentions but he still did not deserve to die! fine, if this Rey really wants to be like that then there is no way he will miss on it. even though he always loved fighting this one… wasn’t something he will enjoy, it was not just a spar “I’m here. Are you happy now? We really don’t need to do this you know” he said with a teethy frown, though the gruesome way his mouth looked like was not visible from the range he was from him, he then went rested his hands in front of his face, preparing his battle pose “I’ll do neither, I don’t want to fight you know? But if you don’t plan on listening to reasoning then I guess I don’t have a choice.” with a reluctant sigh he was ready, hoping Rey will put the damn sword down. Post count: 7

Rey would not even listen. His words were all the confirmation he needed to know that the boy was there. If he was there then there was nothing left to do then to fight. No one was around here for all that talking. Who wanted to dialogue about something when their weapons can do it for them. Serow was neatly tucked away. For now. He was not a demon faunus. He was just a weak human who was going to learn his lesson. Charging towards Maokai, a sword strike was headed straight for his chest. The ghostly white eyes of Rey acted as mirrrors to death and beyond.

Maokai was saddened at the sight of Rey charging at him, but it did not mean he was just going to take the sword straight away though he didn’t move, he waited just for the right time to deflect the sword with his wrist and with a swift spinning motion he attempted to jab his elbow on the side of the horned boy’s head. Regardless if he managed to hit or not he would have quickly backed away about 3 feet and went back into his stance, he wasn’t about to be as reckless as usual, at least not for now. “come on, at least say something! It won’t be fun if you will just stay silent the entire time” he said as he opened a small box-shaped pouch, out of it he pulled out a card glowing in blue light and held it between his right hand’s fingers, waiting for Rey to make a move once more. Why would he want talking? That was stupid. This required no talking at all. Only required action. The deflection did not bother him at all. With Maokai going on the offensive, he would just move his head to where Maokai would slam his elbow into Reyś horn. While impact would do some concussive damage to Rey, he figured be more damaging to the bow slamming an elbow into the demon´s horns. They weren´t exactly dull. Watching as he backed away, Rey debated if he wanted to use 2 swords or stick with one for now. His opponent didn't pull out a weapon but instead a card. The glowing was a signal. He did not know what the cards did but Rey felt it had something to do with Aura. However, was too early to use his semblance. Unsheathing his second blade, he would charge for Maokai again.

 Not a chatter? What a letdown, he really hoped to maybe try to make the fight stop before anything bad happened before he himself would have to use his own semblance and even lose control… though the thought of it never left his mind, he had other things to worry about as Rey began to charge at him, Maokai shook his hand as weird-looking vain like lines of aura spread across his elbow and decided to charge in as well. it didn’t take long at all for the two of them to be close to each other, though right as he was in Rey’s striking range he ducked and rolled right next to him, and right as he finished rolling the card left his hand in a swift motion right towards Rey’s legs, the elemental card would leave a frozen area on the ground that if Rey didn’t dodge he would be stuck in the ice as well. even if he hit or not he would dash forward quicker than any normal huntsman can and attempted to hit a punch straight to his chest followed by an uppercut to the guts, right after he finished his attack he would go back to his stance, preparing to block anything Rey throws at him. Rey would go for a strike but the strike would miss as he dodged and rolled out the way. Looking, he would quickly track Maokai and charge again. Unfortunately, he ignored the card in which once the effect occurred, it would encase his right leg stopping his charge forward. Now on the defense, he would just wait for the attack to end. He could get out the ice. He was strong enough. Problem was timing. Using his kenjutsu training, he would reverse grip his blade with his left hand and flip it over to where it was on it side and parry the strikes making Maokai hit the blade instead of his body. IT almost seemed Adam like with his parry. Now that he knew for sure what the tags did, Rey knew now to be careful of them. Smacking his leg with hilt of his blade, the ice would shatter. There was still no talking that was occurring.

Good! The card was a success! Though unfortunately the blows were not, hitting the hard still wasn’t that bad compared to the horn, not to mention he was already used to hitting hard things in his training. But none of what happened here made him excited like it would usually do, no compliments came out of his mouth as much as he wanted to, he simply dashed back again to get back to the neutral fight “is it really wrong to want to actually save a life instead of taking one? Why are you so mad at me for stopping you from committing a crime?! Trust me I know this man was an a*****e I saw the entire thing going but you still shouldn’t have tried to kill him!” he would yell as he got back in position, with a sigh he started talking again, this time calmly “I just want to mention that I am in no way disrespecting you by not using a weapon, I simply don’t have one, but please before you take another swing at me try to relax and if you still want to fight at least let’s try to enjoy it” Post count: 10 Out Of Chomps: 7 cards remaining

Humans. They were so disappointing. Always wanting something. To talk? They could of talked long ago when his kind was imprisoned. Always mercy and wrong when it was the human kind on the receiving end but do faunus get the same treatment? They did not. That was the difference. He was not going to give Maokai any type of satisfaction. It was going to stay quiet and Rey was going to continue to be the predator. Using a dust vial, he would go down to one blade and the blade would start to glow blue down the steel. What dust did he use? It wasn´t as soft as ice. So, what did Rey have planned? Aiming at Maokai, he threw the dust enchanted blade like a spear towards him before following up with a charge, going for a strike to his mid section using his drawing power.

Still nothing huh? what is with this man? Why was he so intense? Maokai didn’t know even though he really did try to understand from the few moments he had in this fight, he would notice Rey’s sword started glowing and that same sword was thrown at him just a few moments after, luckily he was fast enough to dodge the spear-like sword that was chugged at him, though unfortunately for him his attention is… not too great, while he dodged the spear Rey had enough time to slash at his torso that made the young shark fall as a red glow came from the same spot he was hit. It took him a couple of seconds to get up but once he finally did he had a big toothy grin at Rey, revealing his many rows of teeth and the weird way his mouth looks inside “that was a great move… friend? Can I call you a friend? Well, it doesn’t matter right now, let’s continue!” he said with a smile, trying to at least lighten up the mood for himself, and hey! If it makes Rey talkative who knows maybe it will get funner! “welp, time to fight like I’m used to huh?” his grin never left his face as he rushed in a straight line towards Rey, his Mako shark genes kicking in as his speed was not about to slow down, as he was close enough he aimed a heavy blow towards Rey’s Chest, his entire weight was into this attack as he leaped off the ground in a swift hop for the punch. Was it a smart move? Probably not, but he never cared about smart or not, his recklessness was part of his charm and he wasn’t about to give it up! Post count: 11 Out Of Chomps: 7 cards remaining

With the strike landing, the blood would rush from it. While satisfied with the hit, Rey was no fool. What was the catch? He had defensive aura right ? Or did he fight without it until necessary? Waiting on the catch, it would come with the reveal. Rey´s eyes went from curious to a slight bit of anger. More faunus that chose forgiveness and not equality when it came to humans. So that was how it was going to be? He looked at him with a hint of sadness before it disappeared. A hint Ora was still connected to him. ¨I don´t have friends. Just enemies. If you want to be a human lover. SO be it." he commented as he watched the attack come. He would pounce at Rey. A risk that was going to be his down fall. Rey decided he was going to meet him into the air. Using his faunus trait which was a jumping ability. He would jump towards Maokai and go for a double kick to the face. Oh, he finally said some words! Maokai had a slight smile though it quickly faded away, what was he talking about? Why does he not have any friends? Human lover? What does it have anything to do with this fight? Well none of them mattered as Maokai rushed in with no success, only meeting his Rey’s legs right to the face which made him fly off a few feet as he glew red again from his aura. Getting back on his feet he was quite mad “if you think I did it because I love humans or anything your wrong, I did it because it was a life that there was no need to take, I have taken and seen people take other’s life too many times and If I can stop at least one I will gladly do it” he said while he closed his eyes in pain, but not from the hit he just took, but from what he is about to do ’don’t lose yourself Maokai’ he told himself as he dashed in again seemingly doing the same as before, but this time instead of rushing for an attack he rolled on the ground and as he got up he grabbed Rey’s hand and bit into his shoulder’s flesh, enough to make him bleed for a while but not enough to be any serious damage, after all, he did not intend to use his teeth for the purely offensive tool. Right after he did so he immediately spat it out as his entire body glew in crimson red light, only to rush into his hands as they started mutating into blood-red gruesome hands “the taste of Faunus blood… so intoxicating… so delic- ugh snap out of it!” he yelled at himself as took deep breaths, once he calmed down he went back into battle position, his left hand right around his face while his right hand is right in front of his abs “I fight so I can one day kill those bastards calling themselves my parents, human and Faunus life is something precious that does not need to end because of unnatural reasons and that’s why I saved that guy, for all I care he could rot in prison for what he did to you two in the festival” Post count: 12 Out Of Chomps: 7 cards remaining. it has begun

So it would begin. Maokai got his strike on Rey after their sequence ended. Feeling the sting of jaws that shredded into his flesh, Rey showed no fear. Instead, he would look over to the boy and hear his cries. He wanted to kill his parents. Interesting. So how he call himself better than him? He was a walking contradiction just like truck from MPN. No matter. Unsheathing Serow, his aura would start to fluctuate around him. It was now time that they truly got serious no? Holding the trick weapon his hand and loading a green cartridge into the blade, his horns would grow. Now Maokai was going to have to wonder was it worth it. Worth the risk. Were them humans truly worth the fight that he was now in? ¨You have hatred but have no reason or ability to channel it. You drive off emotions for a worthless cause. IF you want something dead. Stop being a b***h and just kill it¨ he commented before walking towards Maokai. ¨This isn´t a fairy tale. Justice does not always win¨

Maokai was slowly losing focus as the smell of blood drunkened the boy's mind more and more but... Even someone who was drunk out of his a** could notice the sword he pulled out, glowing from his own aura. Things indeed would get interesting though Maokai shook his head "believe me i tried but they were too strong for me back then, but it does not matter right now. There is a ftorst aid kit in the bag i brought with me, so please promise me that no matter what happens after this fight you will treat that wound i gave you, please promise me that! If you don't i will simply run away right now" he said with teary eyes as he pulled out another elemental card, this time it lighted up in purple light as he as well slowly walked towards Rey, still wishing he would just put his damn sword down, but with how big the guilt he feels, maybe he truly deserves this.
