Quote: As if the eerie fog isn't enough to deal with, once the sun goes down you must take shelter quickly--or risk the beast of this land. While there is sometimes the sensation of being watched, it worsens when the sun goes down. A shadow can sometimes be seen outside, but if it catches you in the window it will attack. If it senses life in any building, it will batter against the door, scrape against the walls, and clatter at the windows. An overwhelming sensation of dread and fear seems to roll in with the creature. It cannot break into the buildings, but it can damage them--just never enough to get inside. Once a house is damaged, it is not safe to return to unless it is repaired before nightfall. The creature can splinter wood, claw at bricks, and crack or shatter glass. It can wail like a banshee and can linger for moments or hours throughout the night. It is always gone before sunrise.

Vela was inside the house she had been in with Cybele and the same house she had seen the man coming towards the house as the sun was going down she was staying in her shelter and waiting out the night. This really sucked no tv, no internet, no music, she sighed and looked around to see if she still had that weird set of cards she had spent what felt like days playing with. Even if it had only really been a short amount of time. The sun would soon set and she had no idea what would happen next.

The sunset and darkness felt like it had swallowed the house that she had been staying in with Cybele she frowned and rubbed her arms. She was still hungry and she was tired she look towards the window and saw and shadow. She moved away from the window and the front door just in time to hear something smash into the front door. She stepped back and ran up the stairs and jumped into the bed she was sleeping in. She pulled up the covers and tried to calm herself down she figured this was going to be a long night.

She listened to the sounds of the creatures attacking the house and she was afraid they would get in, but she knew if they did she would fight them. She wasn't going to roll over and let these fog monsters get the better of her. She grumbled and rolled over. She wanted to get some sleep it was getting late and the more she could sleep in the dark hours the better things would be for her considering there wasn't anything fun to do right now anyway. If she had been home she would be making smores or going to Fall harvest events. She really didn't want to miss all the fall fun and colored leaves living in this stupid village.

Vela sighed and rolled onto her back and looked at the roof as the noise continued through the night and she growled again, if she had been stupid she would have charged out there and fought the monsters. Sadly she had some sense so she suffered the lousy night of little sleep and the sleep she did get wasn't much to sleep of. Once morning came she finally was able to get some sleep since the monsters went away with the dawn. So Vela went back to sleep not like she had anything else going on that would keep her from sleeping some of the morning hours away. Then she would have to go out and find food and water. She sighed wishing she could get chips and candy rather than apples and berries.

Vela was getting the feeling the whole plan of this place was to beat them by starving them to weakness and killing their hopes of getting out by dumping them into a village they couldn't get away from and keeping them up all night with monsters. It was clearly mental warfare and she hated it so much. She wouldn't let them take her down though.
