Slade is a man who has seen death, and the cruelty of man. Having glimpsed the abyss, but not without consequence he harbors darkness in his soul. The darkness within him is like an old friend, one that has your back, but does it's own thing. Things you may not agree with. Despite all that baggage he remains a confident, and somewhat mature man. Carrying on with his life to the best of his abilities, he stands tall. He's the type of man who doesn't take many things seriously, well things that don't truly matter. For example he doesn't fear death and when it happens it happens. The list goes on but what he does care about the most is Love, Teaching, Wine, philosophy, comradery and combat. His passion is also a strong personality of his. Teaching is his passion, and he is darn great at it. He takes it seriously. but when it comes to his students his mix of stern and fair. He would like for them to succeed. He can't afford to be too relaxed with them.

He's a man who beams with confidence in his own abilities, and a strength of will to back it up. Yet his no knight in shining armor he’s more of a "dark knight". When using his connection with darkness it alters his mood to a degree. He becomes more jaded, and realistic. More stern and solid yet he still displays loyalty, and comradery. Slade dubs himself a rather suave man something that came naturally to him. This only boosts his hopeless romantic love life as a wine and dine type of fellow. Living most of his life as a bachelor he has reaped the benefits of such a lifestyle, and it shows. He has a penchant of having a slick tongue a naturally born smooth talker, and s**t talker if need be.

At his lowest he can be a bit of a brooding type, but he tends to be alone when his like this. He doesn't want to pour his negativity on to others, so he keeps it to himself at these times. All in all Slade his a great man but his only human and like all humans he must struggle with his own inner turmoil. Yet his not afraid with comrades and his teaching career he has reasons to keep on living life to the fullest.


Well my story is(Bio): Slade grew up in a household that had served the royal family for eight generations. It was seen as a great honor to be in the service of great men and women alike. That is his family legacy and a great source of pride for them all. Being the oldest of five Slade at the young age of ten had many responsibilities. As the oldest son of the Jackson family, he was born to be a perfect role model for his kin. When he finally came of age he was sent off to become a royal guard. Just like his father and his father before him. His father’s words rang into his mind on his carriage to the kingdom. “If you’re thinking this is some sort of vacation son you’re sadly mistaken. The royals expect greatness from us Slade do not disappoint us.” His father had always been somewhat of a hardass at times, but he meant well.

Young Slade recalled the tone of voice in which his father spoke those words. It had the undertones of pleading Slade knew he could not fail them. Along with many other recruits, he was ushered into the kingdom once his paperwork was in order. The sheer scope of the capital had taken his breath away, he had never seen such a vibrant place. The architect spoke of many different styles across the realm. Not to mention the many diverse races of people walking about the place. Once he made it to the barracks is where things got more interesting. For starters, he didn’t think much of his squad at first. Over time, however, he found himself surrounded by all kinds o interesting people. Expanding his worldview forever changing him from a boy to a man. The aid of extensive training helps speed that process along. He found a sense of comradery among his squad that bared the crest of the griffin.

Over the next eleven years, sixteen-year-old Slade had racked up experience. The life of a royal guard was not all about standing about bored. Nope, one had to keep their wits about them at all times. The royal family by all accounts were decent folk, but they had their enemies lots of them. Over the eleven years, Slade had seen gruesome deaths, foiled assassination attempts, betrayals in the ranks, deaths of fellow griffins, etc. Hell, he even teamed up with a police officer named Alex. In an investigation about the royal family, one of the members was poison. A case that took long enough for the two men to form a friendship expanding until adulthood. It was a mix of good and bad and no amount of family credibility would save him from the horrors. Royal guard life is not what it was cracked up to be his father told him as much.

Yet hearing it and experiencing it were two very different things. By the time he was twenty-seven years old, Slade was done. Eleven long years of service he had done his family proud. Although he didn’t make captains like his father and grandfather and great grandfather. His experience was no less great, and his feats no less either. Once he was done it was clear that the people came to know cared for him. Especially the royal family once they knew he was true Jackson. Yet his time here had ended Slade turn his eyes to another passion teaching and learning. Soon after his early retirement from the royal guard. Slade’s younger brother and second oldest Luke took his place.

Passing on the torch meanwhile, Slade headed off to college to further his education. Four years of his life was given to the pursuit of knowledge! While some classes were enthralling others were dull. For him, it was a great and memorable experience one he’d look back on fondly in the coming years. His expertise led him to become a senior combat teacher at a highly respected university. Slade spent four years at Enchanted U making him one of the newest members of staff. Now at the age of thirty-five years old his looking forward to spending more years at Enchanted U.


I LOVE(likes):
-Tea he is British so he can make a mean cup of tea.

- Exotics and rare wine he has a few old ones in his wine cellar. Some may say he is obsessed with finding the perfect wine. And they would be correct, he is currently making his own wine.

- Thrill seeking adventurous type he is alwasy up for a good exploration or danger for that matter.

-Teaching he loves to teach and you can see it in his passion filled eyes. He is the type of person who loves his job no matter how grueling it can be. The type that wakes up with a smile on his face ready for work.

I HATE(Dislikes):
-Being weak so he strives to improve himself on a daily basses he is well aware oft he weakness in his heart.

-Dishonesty his big on loyalty and he find it annoying when he has to deal with these types of people.

-Cooking he has a reputation of having no skill for cooking good thing he pays for someone to do it for him.

I'm openly(Sexuality): Bisexual likes women just a bit more they got more to work with in his eyes.

I'm terrified of(phobias/fears):

- Becoming a ghost he doesn't want to stay in this world suffering, he rather clear off all his grudges and move on.

-Having to kill someone very close to him like a lover or comrade dealing with the psychological whiplash...would be taxing on his mind.

I have a crush on:Ummm who you like? Got his eyes on many, but it is up in the air.

I'm currently seeing(dating): No one at the moment but he is up for dating if the time ever presented itself.

In battle I'm the(Role): Balanced Slade maintains a balance of both defense and offense. Offering the power to fend off foes and the defense to protect his allies.

I carry a(weapon): A sword and Shield combo that offers both defense and offense. Works well with his magic like a spell-blade.
