Rakovanite is accustomed to a certain level of physical activity, usually to take place in the wee hours of the morning when he can avoid all human interaction. But since he can’t go out in the dark for a run, anymore, he’s had to hunt for alternatives.

He’s staked his claim on the tallest building in the village, and if you can knock him from his perch, he will humbly relent to your superior ascension tactics.

No weapons, no magic. Just good old fashioned grabbing people by their pants and throwing them off a building.

If someone could keep an eye on the civilians to make sure they don’t fall to their deaths, that’d be great.

Is it another dice game?

Yes, yes it is.

Simple mechanics: generate a random number 1-100.

The game will go down in three rounds, with each round lasting three OOC days. Each player may roll once per round. The person who has the highest combined total after all three rounds is the King of the Hill and will leave with the glorious prize of Bragging Rights and everyone in the village calling you ‘Your Majesty’ (provided they are aware of your great accomplishments). Diesel will make you a flower crown as a symbol of your victory. There may be more visual prizes to follow, if Indi’s electronics cooperate. Only rolls that include RP will be counted at the end.

If you write 500 words and are interacting with another character, this will count as a battle! Players may only roll once per round, but you may have as many characters participating as you can keep track of.

Keep in mind that while this can not be used to claim a ticket for the raffle, it can be used toward your individual participation rewards!

The second round will end around Oct 25th 11:59 PM Central Time.

It felt like there was an itch under his skin, something nagging incessantly in the back of his mind that he couldn't do anything about. Which was, admittedly, probably most of the problem. Rakovanite couldn't do anything about, well- anything. He was just stuck here, in an unfamiliar place, with no contact back to DC, no information, no basic necessities, and no way to entertain himself.

How... irritating.

Rakovanite didn't know what to do in the absence of his norms. He had seen others harvesting vegetables or collecting wood from the forest. Some were mending their shelters or learning how best to utilize the foreign food in new recipes. Diesel's favorite pastime seemed to be just talking to people, which Rakovanite had no patience for and even less skill to successfully accomplish it.

So he'd already decided that he wasn't go to do any of those things. Rakovanite wasn't going to hone talents to accommodate living in this plane when he did not intend to live under these circumstances, one way or another.

He watched from his perch atop the highest of the stone structures, dark gaze pinned down to the scant few mingling about the village. Something, something to preoccupy himself. They were (mostly) all gifted with superhuman abilities. It felt like they should be able to find ways to keep things entertaining without drawing so much attention to themselves that it woke (or summoned or invited- whatever the circumstances were) the creature.

"You cannot be serious," Athalia uttered with a disgruntled sigh.

He had been dragged out, a representative of his 'household', and given he was the 'big, strong (and over confident) one', Shaowei had deemed it entirely necessary for him to put his money where his mouth was. At first he'd humoured her, she'd warned him she would find a way to test him, and he had sincerely doubted she would discover anything at all out here.

...Except she had barrelled back in through the door this morning with the declaration that she had found something. That something turned out to be one of the most ridiculous events he had seen. Whether it was through boredom or curiosity, someone he didn't recognise had taken it upon themselves to claim the highest roof in the town and they wanted others to come and get it. Or at least this was what Shaowei had told him and advised him that now more than ever, he had a chance to prove he wasn't all talk.

"Oh I am absolutely serious," Shaowei confirmed as she waltz after him, hands clasped behind her back as she turned her gaze upwards towards the top of the building. An impish smile had crept on to her lips and she was providing him with ample amounts of side-eye to make it apparent that she was enjoying this. After all, if there was one thing that this man seemed not to enjoy, it was being put in the limelight.

...Or rather, thrust into the limelight when it wasn't of his choosing.

"So given you are one of the few men in the house, it falls to you to defend the honour of all our good names!" she cooed and nodded towards the Negaverse agent who sat perched atop the structure. "So go get 'em, tiger!"

Athalia's expression was thunderous (a surprise to no one), but he had reason to suspect that if he didn't at least jump up once, he'd never hear the end of it from anyone.

"I believe in equality, just for your information," he muttered as he stomped forward towards the building. "You're just as capable of defending our honour as anyone."

"Yes, but people can look up my skirt!"

His expression implied he was wholly unconvinced by this particular excuse...

It was fascinating, after all.

Still...things could be kind of dull at times. He got wind of a climbing competition, though, and thought that sounded like fun...Who's better at climbing than a cat, of course? Granted, this cat had hands, but details. He'd just have to maneuver around the big hulking types, and resist the urge to pull inventions out of the air. That weird space monster wouldn't like that...

Maya, for lack of a better term, was bored as ******** wasn't that she really cared about the beast that was trying to break into the homes as they slept, she had yet to see the monster people were talking about and doubted the thing was even real at this point. Probably just someone pulling a prank on everyone to amuse themselves. Yes, some people had gone 'missing' but they could just be out in the woods avoiding everyone.

On top of her skepticism she was often cold, knee caps bouncing and teeth chattering if she stood still for too long and although it would be nice to hunker up in the house, wrapped in a blanket by the fire, she was too much of a social creature to stay inside.

She had intended to come out to try and find some food, something not dried meat that could sate her craving for a good ole barbie with smoked meat and a spicy or tangy dipping sauce, when she caught wind of a a few individuals playing a game.

"King of the hill..." Maya hummed. She was familiar with the game but had never participated in it before, perhaps because it seemed juvenile at the time but it might be interesting to watch. Depending on how chaotic it was, she might even participate.

With nothing else better to do, the Page of Ganymede wandered over to the tallest stone structure and watched as three people, one of which who had a tail, carried on in what sounded like a casual conversation. None of the faces were ones that she recognized but that didn't matter, nobody here knew who she was either; and so Maya made the decision to join them.

What better time to try and make friends, right?

It was supposed to be fun.

Narcissus tried to convince himself of this as he stood on the ground, several yards from the base of Rakovanite's 'hill,' and looked upward. It was supposed to be fun. And maybe it would be, if they were all young children playing on the schoolyard. But they weren't. They were all mostly adults with superhuman abilities and an unfortunate tendency to intentionally hurt each other. That tendency had been curbed under the circumstances, but Narc knew better than to think it was gone completely.

Despite the claim of 'fun,' Narcissus was unconvinced. He was certainly not going to be the one trying to vault up the side of a building, just waiting to get shoved off to drop several stories back to earth. Their magical guises might protect them somewhat, but no one was immune to broken bones.

And so he'd decided that just in case one of his comrades accidentally got a little too rough, he would be there. With his reasonably vast medical knowledge and extremely scant supplies.

God, he wished everyone would just play nice and be normal.

((Alright, let's start round two!))
R1: 26

Diesel was not above engaging in literally almost any activity. If there was something he could do to preoccupy himself, he was there, pretty much without question. Yeah, they should probably be pretty concerned about what could happen to someone who got hurt around here, what with there not being any medicines or hospitals around. And he definitely didn't believe his big brother would be especially lenient with him, but-

There was a but in here somewhere, surely.

Alright, maybe there wasn't really. The 'but' was that Diesel was going to do whatever Diesel wanted to do, any he didn't really care about the consequences, and if someone tried to stop him, they could fight him about it, okay? Okay. And he said that knowing their resident doctor disapproved strongly of recreational activities that were more dangerous than they needed to be. He figured that was why Narcissus was here at all: just waiting for things to turn ugly.

Diesel gave a tiny, derisive scoff as he moved first at a walk, then more briskly toward the building. Rakovanite wasn't going to kill him. Probably. And he'd never really gotten the chance to test out what his senshi body could do before they wound up here. It seemed like an enormous waste not to use some of this newfound strength and agility just to see if it was all it was cracked up to be. And given the situation, where he hoped no one would actively try and injure him, this seemed like as good a time as any.

Diesel dipped into a low crouch as he neared, and kicked hard from the ground, launching himself up and over the wood railing that surrounded an outside patio-like area on the second story.

Ha! He sure hadn't been able to do anything like that before!

---

Oh, how fun.

Rakovanite didn't make it a point to go out of his ways to look for reasons to physically accost his little brother. It wasn't sporting. There was no benefit to it. But if Diesel was offering, neither was there much a reason to refuse. He unfolded his arms and stepped from his perch, dropping to the level beneath, and then jumping the railing there to continue down to the next and the next.

Diesel had jumped to meet him on the next landing, and Rakovanite caught him in the air, cracking his elbow down into the senshi's shoulder with a startled yelp of surprise from Diesel. As the younger man buckled and the delipidated building gave a groan of protest, Rakovanite knocked his foot out from under him, shoving him off balance and slamming an open palm into his chest his chest to keep him that way.

He snatched up a fistful of the fabric of the hood at Diesel's collar in one hand and grabbed him by the arm with the other. Debris skidded beneath his boot as he twisted and pulled the senshi from his feet and into the air.

Diesel smacked a hand out to grab at Rakovanite's arm, but it didn't matter. It didn't exactly take a lot of effort to pitch Diesel back over the railing and sling him down hard toward what looked like a White Moon senshi, dressed in white, gold, and red.

In the grand scheme of things she probably shouldn't have found this quite as funny as she did, but the moment she saw the body of another come flying towards the ground she couldn't help but gasp. She grew a little more pale, held up a hand and began to point in a dramatic fashion that, in the end, would serve no one in the given circumstances. After all, with his back turned to her it was safe to say that Athalia couldn't see her antics from his current vantage point and in approximately ten seconds he was likely to find himself in a less than favourable position.

Maybe with a broken neck.

She did not, personally, know how to fix a broken neck and given that none of them happened to be able to locate a hospital nearby she would have preferred to avoid this situation at all cost. With that said, it seemed like something in the back of her mind had also clicked on and she took a breath. He might not be able to see her but he could certainly hear her, if she warned him then surely -

"Look out below!" she called up from the bottom, casting her gaze towards Rak with a decidedly unimpressed raise of her eyebrow.

"You know if you throw people like that you're going to cause lasting damage, I thought this was supposed to be a game!" she added to the Captain.

----

Above her it seemed that Athalia had at least spotted the falling senshi in advance of Shaowei's warning, but it had rather put a dampener on any specific gains he might have been trying to make in the process. Caught between allowing the senshi to fall potentially head or back first into something and winning a silly competition, it was safe to say that his nature got the better of him.

In the end, Athalia braced himself and held out his arm to grab the descending senshi. It wasn't going to be a comfortable catch to say the least. In fact it was likely going to jar his own shoulder as well. Whether Diesel appreciated being caught by a leg, ankle or otherwise was irrelevant for the most part given that the need to 'swing' him to brace the impact the sudden stop would have on his body would send him careening into a wall anyway.

He was young though, right?

He looked young from this vantage point and the older senshi could only assume he'd be smart enough to put his arms up to absorb most of any impacts he might have in to any walls while they both caught their balance again.

"You know most people at least try to grab hold of something when they're knocked off something," Athalia grunted, conceding that on this particular occasion he wasn't going to climb as fast as he'd like.

"Or do you bounce on impact with hard surfaces?" he added.

Look out below Maya had heard one of the other participants shout and she looked up just in time to see Diesel take an almost cringe worthy hit from the obviously stronger, and more skilled Negaverse Agent.

She drew in a hissing breath and visibly winced but was able to breath easy when someone else reached a hand out and caught the Corrupt before he kissed gravel and took a dirt nap for his efforts.

"Don't mind me." the Page waved her hand almost dismissively all the while knowing that nobody would have heard her and likely didn't even notice she was here, yet.

With everyone's attention on the skirmish, Maya took the opportunity to jump from one landing to the next until she reached the top where she would have a good vantage point to observe the interactions. Height never bothered her and yet her own self assurance didn't keep her from sitting down on the edge, a perch for which she could observe and take notes in case things turn all Game of Thrones in this village they were being held prisoner in.

Chip, for his part, decided for once that he would play things safe. At least a little bit. Flying large humans didn't look like something he wanted smashing against his (admittedly also very large in his mind) little person body...So as senshis and officers jostled above him, he climbed only a little, and off to the side.

It was still fun just to watch the "carnage," after all, and his grinning little face showed that he was clearly entertained by the antics of the humans around him.

"Oh!" he called out as a senshi dropped a ways, "I didn't know humans bounce!" He giggled mirthfully at the idea. In fact, that was an idea. Bouncy coating on someone. That had to be useful. Something to try out later...

It was going... about how he expected it would. There were only about half a dozen people here, so Narcissus was pleased that the amount of potential injury was at least limited to few participants. And those gathered seemed, for the most part, more interested in actually climbing than leaping into anything too drastic. No one was trying to hurt anyone, yet.

For the most part.

His bright, pink gaze followed with rapt attention as Diesel bounded up the stories of building that separated him from his brother. Narcissus had an uncomfortable feeling about what might happen when they met, since as far as he could tell, neither had ever gone out of their way to pull their punches against the other. He hadn't know either very long, so maybe it was fine...

But as Rakovanite caught Diesel by the arm and slung him over the edge of the railing, Narcissus figured he might have expected as much. "Diesel!" He yipped in fright, bolting from his place at the base of the building as if he might need to be there to... To do something before the corrupt hit the ground-

But he didn't.

Narcissus looked up to see that one of the other participants, a man he actually recognized from a meeting once before, had snagged Diesel about the ankle to keep him from plummeting head first into the dirt. Once it seemed like they were both... probably fine, he turned to look back at Rakovanite, shooting the man a look that said, <******** please,' though he elected not to comment more than that.

It was safe to say that at this particular moment in time Athalia was going nowhere fast. With his hands tied in a manner of speaking, he was currently in need of two things. The first was a place to deposit his new found anchor, and the second was for a decent place to grapple so that he could actually make some decent progress in this ridiculous race.

Unsurprisingly neither of these things were particularly forthcoming and he glanced down briefly towards Diesel, a thoughtful expression rippling across his features the longer he looked. He knew he was strong in some respects but would he be strong enough to throw the senshi back at the agent? Granted Diesel might not appreciate the sentiment but if he could and he got the aim right then surely that would deposit the younger boy somewhere slightly safer while also returning fire.

Petty, but it had potential.

He remained undecided of course and for the time being he had stalled in his climb as he considered his options...

-------------

Shaowei on the other hand had the perfect vantage point to observe the antics and while Athalia was certainly bringing dishonour on her household, at least he hadn't allowed anyone's neck to snap. Well, he hadn't necessarily allowed anyone's neck to snap yet and only time would tell, but for now everything was safe.

It also seemed like he had the added benefit of inadvertently preventing the younger senshi from slamming in to Maya. Well, she wasn't sure if he'd have hit her, but she was grateful he hadn't been given the chance. That did, however, leave an opening and given that she had determined Athalia was a loss in this competition she gave a wave of both hands towards Maya.

"Climb, climb! They aren't looking!" she urged.

Hmph, if the other boys wouldn't hurry up then it stood to reason that the only one that cared should win.

Nevertheless, Chips remarks did remind her that alone, she probably didn't stand much of a chance of rescuing anyone on her own.

"And we don't bounce!" she howled back at the Mauvian before spinning on her heel. "Now if you would excuse me I need to find someone other than me to catch falling bodies," she added with a flustered tut. It wasn't long before she had scurried off to locate additional assistance, whether she'd find anyone willing in time remained to be seen...

Narcissus took a breath.

He definitely wasn't trying to fight anyone, certainly not to the degree that had already been displayed: throwing people around willy-nilly with no regard for how they might land. But it did seem like if no one actually playing was going to do more than shoot nasty looks upward, he could... try and participate somewhat. Narcissus had a very vague sort of suspicion that Rakovanite was not going to fight him, regardless.

He took care as he ascended, picking his way upward with measured jumps that didn't try to reach too high too fast. he kept to the sides out of everyone else's way because even though he'd only shown up to make sure no one was hurt (and he wasn't even doing that if he didn't have eyes on them), the small group seemed willing enough to look after each other until the game was over.

So what better way to mother-hen it by ending the game?

He caught the edge of one of the upper stories as he jumped, quietly pulling himself upward and peering up the last few feet to where their game host stood.

It looks like most everyone has gotten in their final roll, so let's end this. Narcissus is the winner! As thanks for playing my silly game (and as an apology for how long it took to reach its conclusion), I'll be making some little icons for participating players, so be looking out for those... hopefully in less months than it took to get this last post up. Remember that if you reached 500 words, this can count as a battle for you! Diesel will be lingering behind if anyone needs a few posts to reach word count. Just quote me!

Diesel released a sharp, pained gasp as some White Moon senshi he'd never seen caught him by the ankle, snapping him to an abrupt halt on a joint that was definitely not accustomed to being yanked on. He threw out his arms to brace himself, expelling a burst of magic from his palms to lessen the physical impact.

Though it definitely didn't do much for his pride.

He squirmed in the senshi's grasp, craning his head forward to try and peer up the length of his body to see the man holding him, and well, frankly, why wasn't anyone doing cool senshi s**t? Like, how hard was it to throw a teenager over your shoulder and <******** jump? Too hard for any of this lot, apparently. He scoffed derisively as he eyed the other senshi, dark gaze weirdly analytical for someone of Diesel's brashness.

"I mean. Kind of?" He asserted in response to the man's question about bouncing. He didn't figure it was a typical senshi thing, but like- given his magic, yeah, he sort of could.

But that didn't seem relevant now.

What was relevant was how ******** blasé his brother was about all this. If Nat was fine with pitching people over buildings, Diesel didn't know why he shouldn't be too. "Hey, buddy," he called up to the White Moon man still latched to his ankle. "I appreciate the hand, but, uh." He bent upward, reaching to pry the other guy's hand off of him so that Diesel could twist and drop down to the platform below.

He landed solidly, and then turned his focus back first to the other senshi, then farther up to the agent.

"Mind if I return the favor?"

It didn't seem necessary or pertinent to wait for an answer. Someone was getting up there, and Diesel didn't really care who. He kicked hard from where he stood, throwing the full-force of his senshi body's strength into launching himself back up to where the White Moon guy had caught him. He caught the edge of where the other guy had climbed to in one hand, and the other was braced first on, and then around the senshi's arm.

"This'll only burn a little." Probably. With a rough growl of a sound tearing out of him, Diesel kicked from the wall, dragging the senshi with him. The force of his own momentum lit something like fuel pulsing through his veins, and he expelled it in a bright burst of heat and momentum, using it to fling the other man up and away from him, as Diesel backflipped into landing on the ground below.

---

Rakovanite barely suppressed a roll of his eyes as the whole lot of those below glared at him like he'd done something offensive, but he simply had to completely disagree. Diesel was his brother. Regardless of any competition, Rakovanite knew the boundaries of what his own family could endure better than anyone else here. And to simply let him advance was scarcely in the spirit of what they were all doing here, anyway.

Besides, he was uninjured.

As evidenced by the array of jabber and bizarre and unnecessary acrobatics Diesel displayed in the following moments. Rakovanite really did roll his eyes, then, coupled with an irate glower as he stared down at the pair beneath him. He was pretty sure he'd said no magic. ...But perhaps so long as it wasn't intended to injure, it wouldn't rouse the monster. One could hope.

Regardless, one of the senshi had been slung up toward him, and Rakovanite was prepared for another tussle to end in someone else getting pushed off a building. -Until in the same instant, Narcissus was behind him, completely skirting around nearly everyone as he climbed. Just avoiding any actual chance of conflict. And so also avoiding any chance of injury.

Why didn't anyone want to play in the way he did? Was no one else entirely bored and exhausted by this world and ready for something else?

With an annoyed sort of sigh, Rakovanite slipped back and away to avoid the range of the the White Moon senshi that had been thrown at him. He slid around the corner, made a great show of catching Narcissus' gaze, because no, he was not going to fight a Dark Mirror boy who could just be shoved around with minimal effort, only to hear about it in great length once they'd all returned to the shelter. He gave a curt nod, and a very clearly unimpressed tip of his head in a sort of bow, and then flicked away in a brisk teleport back to the ground below.

Rakovanite exiting.
