prompt In a village in the middle of an eerie forest, you need shelter. There are many empty houses speckled across a central village, each with its own customizable features. The houses are always made of wood and field stone. They lack all modern commodities, however there is crude indoor plumbing. There are thick glass windows, misty and difficult to see through, and thick wooden doors that are heavy and difficult to move--however all of them have barricades on the inside to keep intruders out. Most houses have several rooms and some even have multiple floors, but there is something aged and almost crumbling about each of them. They are safer than nothing, but they are cold and uninviting. You need to claim one of these homes for yourself, but with so many unknowns, it's probably best to find a group to stick with and have your back. Do you try to take on this oddity in a house, alone? Or do you manage to find people to get along with and share a house with? Narcissus knew the city liked to play tricks on people, sometimes… It had only happened to him once, personally, but those who came into the hospital sometimes had the wildest stories for how they’d been injured: monsters attacked them, or they’d been taken to what seemed like another world, or someone had used magic. Before he’d become a senshi, Basyl had been curious why the stories seemed so bizarrely prevalent (and none of the other doctors or nurses even batted an eye!).
And now he knew.
It was hard to ignore when the fog rolled in. It moved like it was alive, and something in the air felt thick with otherworldly power. There hadn’t been any use to try and escape it, though try Narcissus did. And fail Narcissus did.
Besides the heavy and overwhelming nature of the fog, it didn’t feel like anything as he was transported. One second he was running down the street as the haze closed in. It enveloped him like a wave, so heavy he couldn’t see anything through it. And then, he was popping out the other side like simply stepping through a doorway. The fog receded at his back, and Narcissus was in a small, unfamiliar village.
Others were around. He could feel their auras. He could see them gathering together in small groups. And everyone looked as confused as he was. For whatever reason, they had all been brought here and plopped down without explanation. It seemed like there were at last a few from every faction here…
Should he risk approaching? Narcissus didn’t exactly have the best luck with White Moon or the Negaverse. He probably shouldn’t just blindly wander up to any of them and hope for the best.
Instead, he decided to do a bit of scouting first. If everyone else had been sporadically teleported without information, he might as well see if there was anything to be gleaned from the surrounding areas. The village certainly didn’t match Destiny City in size or structure. Everything was old and crumbling, archaic, and it seemed like nothing alive was around besides those that had come from DC…
When he inquisitively looked inside the buildings, it was to see that they were fortified as heavily as possible. Most had no windows, the glass having been replaced with boards and stone. Barricades lined the entry room.
What the heck were the people who’d lived here trying to keep out?
Narcissus swallowed as he moved through one of the buildings. It had a scattering of bedrooms, with rolls of some kind of cloth laid out on the ground for sleeping. There was a kitchen of some sort, hung with old cooking utensils, and a cupboard which Narcissus generously deemed a ‘washroom.’ It was built like someone had lived here, at one point.
Just not anymore.
He was rummaging through the cabinets to see what, if any, other supplies might be available to him when a bang of the front door being whipped open caused Narcissus to nearly jump out of his skin. It was followed by the scraping sound of something heavy being dragged across the floor. Someone was in here.
Someone was in here!
He scrambled to grab the heaviest cooking implement he could find, a stone spoon about the size of his arm, and scooched silently to peer around the corner. There were people in here, both dressed in black, and when Narcissus focused on it, he could tell their auras were Negaverse. So probably not whatever these barricades were designed to…
The thought trailed away, and Narcissus squinted through the dark of the house toward the agent. “R-Rakovanite?” He asked quietly.

When answers didn’t immediately present themselves, you had to look for them. Rakovanite had never been complacent when it came to simply not knowing what was going on, and this situation felt like it could be less worrisome if only there were answers. He didn’t want to allow his brother to pull him into one of the village houses for the evening. He wanted to figure out how to go home, and the fear that Cervantite spoke of was simply due to lack of information. Rakovanite was trying to help them. They needed to get stuff done, not hide away.
But… it was true there was a distracting feeling in the air. The sky wasn’t dark yet, but it was obviously drawing near. Something prickled strongly like a warning in the back of his mind with every passing second. It spoke of urgency, and Rakovanite could only interpret it as an urgency to escape.
Cervantite must have felt it even more strongly than Rakovanite. He refused to let Nat continue searching the village. Instead, the senshi yanked them both inside a building and began to very hastily set the barriers into place. He was… frightened. Rakovanite watched him as if studying something. It was obvious that even though they had no concrete evidence that something would attack them once the sky grew dark, Cervantite was terrified that if they weren’t inside once night fell, something terrible would happen.
And given his own record of not being that great with sensing what auras were trying to tell him, Rakovanite decided to let Cervantite do what he thought was necessary. It likely couldn’t hurt. They had no solutions for how to return home, regardless.
When his name stuttered from the hallway behind him, Rakovanite almost thought he was imagining it, but he craned his head around to see- “Narcissus.” The Dark Mirror senshi from the park-
And from the street, when he’d used his magic to force Rakovanite not to pursue him after a youma attack. His brows pinched and his lips pursed. This senshi was at very least not a danger to them, but it was annoying to have someone around who… His heart ached remembering the feel of Narcissus’ spell. He hadn’t enjoyed that and would prefer if there wasn’t a repeat. He opened his mouth to ask how Narcissus had come to be here, when-
----
Cervantite’s head whipped up at the sound of a stranger’s voice, and even more bizarre as far as he was concerned, his brother answered as if the two were familiar with each other. He’d always just kind of assumed Nat lived in his bedroom and subsisted on flavored waters and air. He didn’t think Nat knew anyone.
...He hadn’t thought magic was real, either, so maybe it wasn’t too much of a surprise.
“Have you met before?” Cervantite prompted, only slightly wary that there was someone in the exact building he’d chosen. If he felt around with his senses, he could at least recognize that this guy- Narcissus- did have an aura. And Rakovanite didn’t seem concerned that anything might be off… Seemed good enough for him! “Well, thank god,” he said in relief as he began to cross the room toward the stranger. “We saw so many other people that showed up here just like we did, but we didn’t get a chance to talk to any of them… We didn’t ask if everyone got transported the same way we did or if everyone came from the same area…”
It was another senshi. Cervantite could tell that much. But they weren’t quite the same, were they?
He smiled. Seeing anything that might be friendly in this whirlwind of an adventure was enough to make him feel hopeful, despite the nagging sense of dread creeping up from the back of his mind. “So, how’d you get here?”

They hadn't exactly parted on good terms during their last meeting. No one had been physically injured, but Narcissus wasn't so foolish that he couldn't understand how his magic certainly registered as an attack in the agent's mind. Rakovanite had frightened him, and he'd responded by doing... something he felt a bit guilty about. Narcissus had apologized, at least, even though Rakovanite certainly hadn't said sorry for throwing him into a brick wall. But Narcissus wasn't inclined to take it personally.
Judging from Rakovanite's expression, it didn't look like he was willing to say the same. The agent, while still recognizable, didn't look like he had three months ago. And the unrelenting shove of his aura didn't feel the same either.
"Y-you got a promotion?" He tried to offer casually, though the stutter may have hinted at the uncomfortableness of thinking about what someone had to do to get a promotion in the Negaverse... At least the magic hadn't been as damaging to his mental state as Narcissus might have feared. He swallowed nervously and fidgeted with a strand of hair hat had fallen over his shoulder as his gaze dropped to the ground.
But they weren't alone. There was a senshi with Rakovanite. A corrupt senshi. If the agent decided he wanted to attack, there was nothing Narcissus could do to stop them or get away from them. No mirrors to run through, and his magic was still unreliable. Probably more so against two opponents.
Thankfully, the senshi didn't sound aggressive, and he looked young, as though he were only a teenager. Narcissus shot a nervous smile at him. "A strange mist rolled in and surrounded me. I couldn't get away from it. One second, I was in the city, and then I was just... here, without rhyme or reason. Oh. I'm Narcissus, by the way." He was still a little hesitant, but it wouldn't do anyone any good if he showed them he was frightened. He held out his hand in greeting.

Rakovanite's gaze was rapt on the Dark Mirror senshi. It slid down to the man's stone spoon weapon, and he quirked a brow in question. Would Narcissus have attacked them if they had been here to hurt him? Rakovanite somehow hadn't expected the Dark Mirror would attack much of anything, but perhaps Narcissus hadn't been fearing other people. The fortifications in these homes didn't look as if they were intended to keep humans out, even humans with superhuman powers.
The stutter in his tone certainly hinted at fear, though that had been present in all their previous meetings as well.
Rakovanite shut his eyes and tried to relax his posture. If Narcissus' words were to be believed (and Rakovanite did believe them), then the senshi had arrived exactly as they had. Surprised and by force. He likely wasn't part of the enemy here. "You have nothing to fear from us," he assured softly. "There is no benefit to harming you while we are trapped here, unless you should become a nuisance."
And because he couldn't help himself from asking, just on the off chance Narcissus had learned anything since he'd been dropped here, "Do you have any other information...?"
-----
"I wonder if that's how everyone showed up," Cervantite speculated to himself. Did all these people, powered and otherwise, get whisked here without warning? The workings of all this magic were still a little foreign to him, but even his brother and this new guy didn't seem to know what was going on!
So that was... kind of alarming.
Still, they weren't dead, yet. No reason to be too beat up about it. And Narcissus seemed friendly! Maybe a little jumpy, but friendly all the same. As a hand was extended toward him in greeting, Cervantite moved to meet it. "I'm Dies-"
And then he remembered Rakovanite was there, and Rakovanite didn't want him using his real senshi name. He didn't know what exactly Nat would do if Cervantite started deviating from the expected, but he knew something would be done, and it probably wouldn't be pleasant. And... of course no matter what did happen, he didn't want to disappoint his brother. He just wanted Nataniel to like him and appreciate him... He swallowed.
"I'm... I'm Cervantite."

Narcissus figured he probably couldn’t be blamed if he didn’t immediately trust that he ‘had nothing to fear’ from Rakovanite. The last time the agent had said he didn’t intend on hurting him hadn’t stopped him from trying. Though Narcissus did let the hand holding his makeshift weapon fall to his side. It wasn’t like he was going to try and bludgeon anyone with a spoon…
“I don’t know much else,” he admitted with a small shrug. “S-sorry… I guess everyone wound up here by surprise, and there’s nothing laying around that would hint at what we might be able to do to go home…”
In fact, this place looked like it had been someone else’s home, at one point. These stone and wood structures, while in disrepair now, looked like they had been functioning houses previously, with shoddy plumbing, rooms for sleeping and eating, and some even had gardens… Someone had had a life here. It was impossible to know where they were, but it seemed like the mechanics for living were very similar to their home in Destiny City. So perhaps the chances were good that they were still on Earth.
Narcissus smiled uncertainly, almost twitchy as Cervantite took his hand.
There was obviously something more the corrupt wanted to say, but Narcissus tried not to dwell on it. It was hard to know who to trust, and it was probably good for a teenage boy to not give away any information about himself too freely. They shook hands, and Narcissus was content to push no farther than that. His spoon swayed in his grasp as he shifted his weight from foot to foot. He twisted at his hair, finicky gaze darting between Cervantite and the floor and Rakovanite.
“So, then, what do you think we’re supposed to do while we’re here?”

The answer seemed obvious to Rakovanite. He tipped his weight back, leaning to peer through the frosted glass of a boarded up window. "All we can do is look for a way out." And even though he hated to say it, he had to add, "This situation is foreign to me. I am more accustomed to the way forward being more clear cut."
Last summer there had been a space plant monster to fight. Last Halloween there had been a shadow carrousel to quell. Over Christmas, they'd simply had to attend and wait for the conclusion of a wedding. This summer they'd fled the flicking channels of an old television set. Everything had been instantaneous. There was no time for explorations, and they hadn't spent hours in a strange plane wandering aimlessly around.
The difference, and what it could mean was unnerving.
Rakovanite knew that he didn't want to stay in this house, no matter how uncomfortable Cervantite felt being outside once the sun started setting. "I think we should keep looking. There must be some trigger that will send us home. A creature to defeat, a wall to break, a ceremony to perform. There will be something if only we can find it."
---
Cervantite whipped around to glare at his older brother.
Rakovanite might be a brick wall that couldn't feel instinctively when something wasn't right around here, but he should at least have the decency to oblige to his little brother's concerns! Cervantite had told him it didn't feel safe or good or right out there. Why wouldn't he listen?
The corrupt flew across the room faster than he'd intended (he was still adjusting to this whole 'being powered' thing) and clasped his fingers around Rakovanite's arm. "No," his snapped insistently, shooting a belligerent toothy smile first at Rakovanite and then back to Narcissus. "I think we should wait. We should stay in here. I don't know why or how but it feels like something is out there, watching us, and it doesn't feel... as bad when we're behind these walls. I'm not saying it's safe; I'm just saying it's safer until we know what's going on."
He gave a tug, gentle, so as not to incite immediate rebellion in his brother. "Let's wait here until morning, okay? Then we can go see if anyone else here knows anything about what's happening. Since we couldn't talk to them earlier," he added in a grumble.
"Maybe there's something in here for us to find." And Narcissus had been rummaging around before he and Nat had made it over. "Well?" He prompted, looking back at the senshi. "Did you find anything?"

What did a way out look like? Narcissus swallowed uncertainly as he angled a particularly unconvinced look in Rakovanite's direction. They could bumble around the village looking for a mysterious "way out," but no one had found one yet, and he imagined it would be harder in the dark, in an unfamiliar place.
He wasn't entirely sure he was allowed to have an opinion that would matter to the two Negaverse members in front of him, but Narcissus couldn't help but add a quiet, meek, "I think we should wait too. I can still feel so many auras around, so I don't think anyone has managed to find an escape, but most everyone has retreated to find shelter for the night, just in case there is something more going on out there. S-since we're already here..." He gave a vague gesture to the area around, and then a tiny shrug.
It seemed pointless to go back outside. Better safe than sorry.
Though he admittedly wasn't sure what exactly "safe" constituted.
As for the inside of the shelter, regarding Cervantite's question, he gave a shake of his head. "It's just... I-it's just an archaic little house. There's a kitchen with some utensils, a washroom with some sub-par plumbing, a little bedroom with cots... There must have been people who lived here in this village at one point, in these houses. And then..." His finicky gaze darted to the barricade Cervantite had slid into place, and Narcissus picked uncomfortably at a thread on his sleeve.
Something had happened. He didn't know what or why, but it seemed for sure like something had happened to the people that had lived in this village. And no one was saying it couldn't happen to anyone who might be trapped here now.

Rakovanite's expression slid ever-so-slightly into something akin to acceptance. He knew if it were only he and Cervantite, he could coerce his brother into following any path he chose to take, no matter how frightened Cervantite might be. But having Narcissus to agree with him gave Cervantite an anchor, and Rakovanite didn't think he could convince both of them to change tactics.
"Very well," he relented softly. "We will wait," though there was a very clearly dissatisfied edge to his tone.
What they would accomplish by waiting, he had no idea.
He stepped further into the house, letting his assessing gaze scrape over the barricades, the windows, the fire pit, the doorway leading to the rest of the house. To Rakovanite, it seemed like waiting was the more dangerous option. They couldn't stay here. They should want to get out. The longer they spent here, the greater the chance of something unscrupulous happening. There were White Moon auras lingering in the village...
He exhaled softly and turned his focus back to Narcissus. "Is there anyone else you know here? Have you seen any sources of water? Food?"
---
Cervantite found himself relaxing slightly as Rakovanite relented to stay. He shot Narcissus a quick grin and then moved to peer around the room. "You think someone lived here, huh?" He prompted, scraping his boot against a dusty floor. "Must've been, uh, a while ago..." It didn't look like anyone had tread here in quite some time...
But what did that mean for them?
Had something chased those people away? Had something killed those people? It could've been disease or famine, but as far as Cervantite had seen, there weren't any bodies lying around...
There was just a feeling, an uncomfortable feeling, that there was something more going on here, some kind of malevolent something that made his spine tingle and his skin crawl. He didn't want to be here any more than Rakovanite did, but the later it got, the more convinced Cervantite was that they needed something between them and the world.
Admittedly, food and water and electricity would be nice, but...
He cast an inquisitive and hopeful look to Narcissus, despite his doubt.

As long as no one was telling him to beat it and fighting to get him out of the place, that was good enough for Narcissus. He was still a bit leery of calling either of these Negaverse individuals allies, but... He at least had met Rakovanite before, and Cervantite seemed nice enough. He tried a hesitant smile of his own.
"I was brought alone," he admitted, heedless of how that might influence Rakovanite's desire to share a shelter with him.
"I haven't seen any food or water, but, well, I h-haven't exactly looked for any, either? I didn't really consider that we might need to find food here. I'd assumed we wouldn't be trapped long, as y-you probably did, so I d-didn't... I didn't make it a priority," he mumbled, twisting a lock of hair around his finger as his weight shifted from foot to foot. "Oh, but I have a few small things I keep in my space pocket for when I go out, um. Just in case I need a snack, or something..."
He opened the rip in the world that was his space pocket, and as he did, Narcissus found that he was a little surprised he still could. Maybe it was a deserted village on Earth...?
He produced a box of granola bars, and a couple bottles of water. It certainly wasn't enough to sustain anyone for long periods of time, but he hadn't exactly planned for that need. "Um, you can help yourselves, if you want?" No matter what their rationing situation came to, Narcissus didn't think he could ever withhold a resource from anyone who needed it.

Rakovanite believed him when Narcissus said he was alone. For the scattering of meetings they'd had, the senshi had never said anything that would make Rakovanite think he might lie. Narcissus seemed, for all that Rakovanite understood it, like a normal, somewhat meek, a little rambly, gentle-spirited man. He gave a tight nod of acknowledgement. He could sense other Dark Mirror Senshi, as well as other agents. It would probably make more sense for them to pair off within their own factions, but...
They were already here. Separating seemed tedious and unnecessary at this point.
"Hm. I hope our stay is short enough that food concerns are never an issue, but we passed a few gardens during our initial exploration of the village. They seemed to still be growing vegetables, though I have no confidence that they are safe to eat."
As Narcissus procured a few scattered rations from his space pocket, Rakovanite extended an arm to keep Cervantite from immediately approaching. "I think we should try and contain ourselves for as long as is reasonable. If morning comes, and no one speaks of a way out, then maybe we can start worrying more about food."
---
"I'm starving," Cervantite stepped forward as soon as a snack was offered, but Rakovanite stopped him from getting more than a foot ahead. He shot an annoyed look at his older brother- It had been dinner time when they'd been transported, and then they'd spent hours just bumbling through the village. He wanted something to eat!
But he was sure Rakovanite did too. It wasn't like Nat had snagged a meal during any of that, while Ellian didn't. They were both in a similar food situation, and if he thought about it, he was sure Narcissus was too...
So he relaxed. They would have to wait.
"Well, maybe I can start a fire in the meantime?" He offered, gesturing toward a dark fire pit and it's blackened chimney. A small, dilapidated pile of long-dead and long-chopped wood was nearby. "That should at least make it warmer and lighter in here. Since we're going to be stuck through the night, we might as well be as comfortable as we can be?"

Okay, good, this seemed fine.
Despite the worrisome situation, Narcissus thought they seemed to be getting off to an okay start. There was no telling how things would progress from here on out, but he at least felt comfortable that Cervantite and Rakovanite wouldn't immediately jump to stabbing him in the face at the first opportunity...
Probably. Maybe he should be more concerned about sleeping in the same building as them, since he couldn't be sure what ether of them might do when he was off his guard.
But he thought they might do nothing.
Rakovanite had had opportunity to hurt him before. Now that they were in a situation that seemed like it wouldn't do anyone any good to suffer an injury, and it may be beneficial to have allies around in case there was something unsavory afoot, he hoped that was enough incentive to keep everyone civil. Narcissus gave a quick nod of understanding, then tucked his rations away for the time being. He figured everyone would be ready for them once breakfast came around.
"A fire sounds great," he admitted, following Cervantite's gesture to the fireplace. With the sun setting, the chill that pervaded the village was starting to really set in.
Having light and warmth would make them feel better while they... maybe tried to get to know each other? He wondered if either of them would be sleeping...

Settling into the idea of this was... more difficult than Rakovanite had expected. He didn't want to get bogged down by maybe's, but he had so little information. Everything was so uncertain. Could he get home? When? Could he trust anyone here? Where or what was this place? How had they come to be here? For what purpose?
But he needed to center himself, and focus on what he did know.
He was here in this shelter with Cervantite and Narcissus, both just as clueless as he was, and they needed to decide how they were going to spend their night. "We should probably sleep in shifts," he suggested quietly. "Having someone looking out for anything that may change in the world would probably help us figure out how to leave. Also... it would be unfortunate if any of the White Moon auras out there tried to take advantage of an easy target. Someone should stay awake and make sure nothing attacks us."
He eyed Narcissus, wondering if he could trust the man with being a "guard" for the night...
Or even Cervantite for that matter.
But even Raovanite knew how mentally detrimental it could be to have no rest. He absolutely could not be the only one staying awake and watching them. He acknowledged that. He just wished he had more reliable options.
---
Cervantite beamed as Narcissus agreed that a fire would be nice. He was pretty drained from the weird shift from night to morning as they'd been transported, and something about that mist had really sapped a lot of energy out of him, but he could make one blast to get them going.
He shuffled to the fireplace and piled a few large logs inside it, and then some smaller kindling atop that to get it started.
Then, he stepped back, extended a hand, pressed the tips of his thumb and forefinger together, and summoned his magic. He snapped, and the burst of heat was loud, resounding, and bright, flickering off the stone walls and landing in a wave in the fireplace. The kindling caught, though he wasn't sure it would be enough to ignite those larger logs.
Still, for now, it was warm and bright and fluttery.
"I'm not crazy about the thought of staying up all night," he admitted to the other two. "It's kinda already been a really long day. It was night when we left DC already, and then we spent another full day wandering this place before night fell here again. We haven't eaten in hours, and something in the air just... makes me tired. And tense."

Something about having the warm light flickering in the room made Narcissus feel a little more at ease.
He at least wouldn't be alone and in the dark in an unfamiliar place...
"It's alright," he offered as Cervantite admitted to not being enthused at the thought of a long night. "I can keep first watch, if no one else wants to. I'm pretty used to staying up late to study, although I prefer to have coffee when I do..." There wouldn't be any of that here to help him through it.
But it was just one night. It was just one night. How terrible could it be? Narcissus moved to stand at Cervantite's side in front of the fire. He extended his hands to feel some of the warmth seep into his skin, and let out a quiet sigh.
"Your magic seems a little more useful than mine," he admittedly lightly. "I don't think mine will be much help here."

Rakovanite gave a brisk nod as Narcissus offered to be the one to take their first night shift. The situation wasn't ideal, but he'd be lying if he said he wasn't tired... And Rakovanite definitely wasn't accustomed to getting a decent night's sleep. He just wished there'd been other options.
As the two situated themselves in front of the fire, Rakovanite turned his attention to the rest of the house. He and Cervantite hadn't had a chance to explore it, yet, though judging from the barrenness of the entry room, there likely wouldn't be much to find. He skimmed past the doorway from which Narcissus had greeted them, casting a quick glance to see an old, sturdy table set up in the middle of the room, and a counter full of old, stone utensils. The kitchen, as Narcissus had told them.
He continued on to find a washroom with crude plumbing, that miraculously seemed to be functioning well enough that it might be a suitable waste receptacle, and it might be able to fill a bucket to wash up from. So long as the water was suited to the task.
There wasn't much left of the house after that, just two rooms that may have been bedrooms, though they were as similarly barren as everything else, just some slats of wood and stone that were formed into a makeshift bed, topped with a few thin blankets. Rakovanite collected what he could from the rooms and moved back to the entry room: the "living" room, presumably. He offered his small pile of blankets to his comrades.
"I think it would be best if we stayed near each other while we sleep," he said. "There are bedrooms that would offer some scant privacy, but locking yourself in one also means separation from the group. We should rest out here, I think, where everyone can see everyone else, and anything that may approach."
---
Cervantite had never for a second expected that he would be the one staying up all night and keeping lookout. Rakovanite would take the task well before Cervantite did, but it pleased him all the same that Narcissus offered. He shot a grin in the other senshi's direction, and gave an agreeable nod.
Seemed like an okay dude to him, even if they weren't in the same "faction."
Rakovanite headed off deeper into the house, and Cervantite immediately took an interest in what Narcissus's magic could be. "Well, what is it, then?" He asked. "I haven't met any other senshi, yet. I know my brother doesn't have magic in the same way I do, but I haven't seen what anyone else's is like, and I don't- I mean, it feels like a lot of the explanation was kinda skipped out on when I was corrupted." It certainly hadn't been like he'd had any kind of choice in the matter...
But even if he did, Cervantite didn't think there was any way he'd have said, "no thanks," to all the magic and chaos in this world. He enjoyed powering up... Even if it led him here.
Rakovanite soon returned with his pile of blankets, and Cervantite couldn't help but grin.
"It'll be like a survival sleepover party. It's just kinda lame there's no snacks or movies.""

"I-it's- Oh..." How could he even begin to explain it? In an ideal world, Narcissus would just be able to show his magic, like Cervantite could, but without an actual target, it wouldn't do much good, and it seemed cruel to try and use it on Cervantite to make him feel even shittier, given the circumstance. Instead, Narci could only offer a tiny smile and little shrug. "It's just a feeling I can inflict on people... To make someone feel hurt." Certainly no survivalist firestarter.
"My sphere is Rejection." And every time he thought of it, Narcissus lamented how spheres and names weren't something they could pick. Surely there was anything more pleasant he could be? Kittens or honeysuckle.
But no. He had a selfish name like 'Narcissus' and a sphere to match. Narcissus supposed that his past life self wouldn't have had a need for something so delicate as honeysuckles. It just might have helped his two comrades feel more at ease, now. Though he at least didn't get the immediate impression that either of the others were afraid of him, since they were apparently all sleeping together.
It suited him fine. As Rakovanite returned with the blankets, Narcissus moved to collect one from his arms so that they could begin situating them in front of the fire, giving everyone enough space while still being close to the warmth.
"Um." He extended a hand, almost daring to lay it on Rakovanite's shoulder but not quite reaching that far. "Thank you. For letting me stay with you two."
