You need to eat. There are archaic cooking utensils and a well in the middle of town. There is an array of fruits, mostly apples, hanging from some trees, and there are several different types of berries that grow around the forest. There are unkempt gardens in a few of the houses, and a larger one with an array of crops that seem to be free for the taking, just by what seems to be an abandoned--locked--church. In some houses, and in a strange storage room in town, there seems to be unidentifiable dried meat. There are no packed or processed foods--only what nature permits. There are no animals to hunt. You can choose to eat any of such food, but at what cost? Are you fortunate enough to feel no effects? Are you struck with some toxic poisoning that fades after a bit? Do you feel rejuvenated, but at the cost of feeling incredibly paranoid and off? Food and effects are player choice, however should not grant any boosts in battle or extreme advantages into gameplay; if you have questions about what you can find or what effects it can have, please post in the MQ&AIt had been several hours since they had all been taken to this strange place. Several hours more since Pasithee had eaten. They could be here a long time. They needed food. Pasithee stepped up to the plate. "Everyone. Everyone. My name is Pasithee. We could be here awhile. I'd say we need to take stock of what we have to eat in this area. Would anyone be interested in helping me do this?"

It was something that had been nagging at Elsa, too--the need for food and, generally, for sustainable community, depending on how long they were going to be here for. He was pretty sure he'd have to suspend concerns about kosher for a little while--there was genuinely no way, but this was, he was pretty sure, a pikuach nefesh situation. Survival over perfect adherence to the tanakh.
So, he raised his hand, when Pasithee asked for volunteers. Also a good idea to demonstrate that he was ready and eager to be as helpful as possible.
"I'd be glad to help you out," he said, stepping forward. "We'll probably need to make multiple runs, but we can at least figure out what's around."Sailor Hawk this works! also the stuff elsa is referencing in his internal monologue are jewish principles (particularly "pikuach nefesh" being basically "preservation of human life overrides other rules," so it's okay for him to eat not-kosher food in this situation bc otherwise he'd come to serious harm. /infodump)
