Vincent nods his head in approval as he listens to a sergeant report. The teams he had requested to aid in the class were in place and ready to go. He scans his vision over the mock up that they had prepared to look like a disaster area. Everything was set. Vincent tells the sergeant to get the teams in place and then turns back towards the red trees. He walks through the forest, following the shortest path between the clearing where the mock up village has been built and where the class was supposed to meet up. He arrives at the edge of the tree line after just a few minutes. A quick look around shows that none of the students registered for the class are there yet. He lifted his left arm and turned his palm upward se that the face of the watch strapped to the underside of his wrist was visible. He'd have to wait. The hands on the watch indicated that anyone who was here already would be 10 minutes early. 'They better get here soon. Showing up right at the turn of the hour is no different than strolling in halfway through the class.'

Danaë would get out of bed with Narx. Recovery had been hard, however, the loss of her eye had been worse. She would wash herself, shaking out her feathers the best that she could. She was still damp though. She was tempted to wake Narx up by snuggling him with her wet feathers. She wondered how he would react. However, she would resist the urge...mostly. She would take one of the fallen feathers...Wait...There were a lot of feathers in the shower today. She would look in bed. Oh no...she was molting... Narx would wake up to a bed full of feathers.
She would grab a spare jacket of Narx's from his closet. She would put it over her feathers. She was going to overheat, but maybe not with how many feathers she saw coming from her. As long as she didn't lose her eyebrows yet, she would be able to hide away at home until they came back in 2 weeks or so. However, she had class today. She couldn't cancel.
She would wait for Narx to get up, maybe he would notice that she was wearing his jacket. She would take his hand, and walk to class. When they arrived, they were the first ones there, other than the teacher.

Narx was already awake the moment he felt Danaë leave the bed, but he kept his eyes shut for a few more minute to get some sleep in. Due to their teammates dying, leaving, or other reasons they ended up being a team of two, they had shared a bed for some time now. Though their relationship was still innocent, Narx knew that they were getting more serious with every day.
He breathed in deeply, but something tickled his nose. He sneezed violently and shot up. He looked to the side and saw the clock read 7:38. He needed to get ready to be at class on time, but then he saw an army of feathers littering the bed."Danaë... What on earth?!" Was she kidnapped? Had she died?! That wouldn't make sense, he felt her leave of her own volition, or so he thought. He threw the blanket off and feathers scattered everywhere, Fortunately he found Danaë alive and well, not kidnapped, and wearing his jacket. He would don his workout clothes anyways for class so he simply gave her a charming smile as he rushed to get ready. He was the late type, never would be on time if it were not for Danaë.
In the end, they were the first to arrive, Narx let go of Danaë's hand and explored the area a bit, a mock up town."I've never been first to class. Not as far as I can remember at least."He said as he pulled a pill container out of his jacket and popped one absent mindedly. Always needed to remember your meds his doctor told him."Haiya teach! What are we doing here in this faux town?"He said to Mr. Field the teacher. Narx was low-key extremely excited for this class since his semblance was a healing one. He wondered if Vincent knew about his ability.

The Foreverfall forest was a lovely sight to behold. With all it's glorious hues of warm colours all around, it's dark bark of ominous foreboding beauty, and the crisp fresh air, Sasselia was invigorated. Classes were abound, and the water festival had only felt like a dream away. She had been looking forward to seeing this forest she had read about years ago, having imagined it to be lovely. All her imagination could unfold for her, was the guessing on the wind being crisp, and the imagery of crimson and orange from a photo memorised. The excitement for such had been taken into her dreams, and when she had heard the alarm go off, she had no trouble getting out of bed. "Good morning everyone~. L-let us prepare for a n-nurturing day of wisdom and enrichment!" Having been wishing to improve her medical skills, the young woman was ecstatically pleased to be taking the course on top of things. She had remembered the teacher from another time in the infirmary, Dr. Vincent had carried on the full professor and doctoral vibe. He was most likely going to be the same during the class. Energy was important for a proper morning! It was the reason as to why, after washing her hair and getting dressed in her school uniform, had she stopped at the cafeteria for some food, potentially stopping to grab her weapon (if weapons allowed in the class.). Sasselia had left it open for her team to make the option to join her before the actual class, hoping to to spend some of the morning with them . It was by the time she had finished the last bite of her egg sandwich, she (alongside with whoever joined her) had made it. "Good m-morning professor Field. I hope we aren't tardy!"
Bowing her head, she had made her steps further in, mouth partially hanging open with delight. "This is e-exactly h-how I envisioned the forest to be!" Indeed, her dream had come to be, marvelling at the beauty of the nature itself around them. Truly, the forest had every expectation passed, and on top of it all with flying colours. The way the leaves danced about had the added tranquil peace. If only she could believe the forest was truly safe and beautiful, if grimm were said to roam these beautiful woods from time to time, which she could only hope for class to be properly safe and sound. Sasselia could at least feel grateful they were not the only ones there so far. Two familiar faces were drawn nearby, one being of Narx and Danae. Seeing the pair together as always, she had no mind of such a thing, approaching them both friendly and sweet. "Hello again. I-I -see we will be taking the same class today! Ob... Obviously yes if yous are both here... I am happy to see you are both well." Woth a smile, she had glanced towards the nearest tree, picking off a leaf from the ground. "Perhaps a bookmark for later." For now, there was the grammatical exploits of the richness of the woods. "This is so wonderful!" Glancing to Rosa, she couldn't help but giggle. "It makes me wish i be able to dance with the leaves around me, falling like petals from the most blooming flowers! O-oh... Th-that probably sounds rrather silly!"

Heavy in sleep is how you would usually find Inari sleeping. As he would be probably wouldn't even heed the sounds of the blasting alarm clock that Sassy had set up. Truth be told, he couldn't even be bothered. After waking up, he saw that Sassy was up and at it ready for class. Truth be told, Inari could care less for class before realizing what it was. Health class, and there would be girls there! As soon a he would realize this, he would jump up out of his bed and look around. "Dammit, where's that measuring tape?" He muttered to himself before passing by Sassy who was making herself an egg sandwich. "Mornin' Sassy! He said, still digging through his bag and drawers before finally finding it. He let off a sigh of relief before having to also look around for his stuff. He was sadly a pretty disorganized mess, but that's just how Inari usually is. After getting his clothes and uniform together finally, he would leave his weapons into the lockers that everyone else usually have. When taking a slice of bread, he would pretty much just eat that before heading out.
Leaping from tree top to tree top, Inari would be pretty comfortable as he would. Happily traversing the forest the only way he knew how was his go to thing. A ninja never forgets his training, after all. As he finally made it to the forest along with the others, he noticed his group and their teacher, who was Dr. Vincent. He could tell this was going to be a some what lengthy and drawn out day with barely little to much going on. At least Sassy was enjoying her time in the forests. Truthfully, Inari was sick of the forest. "And I even had this measuring tape to accurately take girl's bust size for medical research.." He sighed, holding the roll of tape.

It was hard for Rosa to have a good night sleep knowing she is having her very first class in beacon ever since she got here, the young girl managed to wake up about half an hour earlier than the rest even without an alarm, she just couldn’t go back to sleep and she knew that even if she did it was pointless. After showering quickly and putting on the school uniform with the shirt outside of the skirt the way she usually dresses, she tied her hair up and went out of the shower and it seemed as they were still asleep ’wow did I really wake up that early? I must be more nervous than I thought… I better snap out of it, I can’t let myself regress from what I did until now!’ she lightly slapped her cheeks and sat down on her bed with her notepad open, but instead of writing she decided to read on the previous things she wrote which reminded her why she wanted to have the medical class so badly even though combat class would have improved her dramatically, but with the kind of people, her sister and her childhood friend are… one day she will need to save them.
“good morning guys, I hope you slept well,” Rosa said calmly as she lowered her head back to the notepad, it really did help in calming her mind right before class and she continued to do so until Sasselia left towards the cafeteria, which she gladly joined after equipping her sword in its retracted form. Unlike other girls around her age and weight; Rosa was eating quite a lot, her inner draconic genes were very prominent when it came to food, both what she liked to eat and the amount of food she could actually eat in one meal, once they finished their breakfast they went into the forest which made Rosa gasp in how beautiful it was yet intimidating in how large it is, she kept looking around until noticing Sass glancing at her, it made her blush a bit and look away in embracement, it was something she was used to from her sister but not from other people, she still wasn’t very open with them emotionally and would often hide in her books or notepad while they were chatting.

Despite their team not being full yet they still got assigned a class to go to which ended up being medical, Nibbie was happy seeing how excited Rammie got about this class though she herself couldn’t care enough about it. Her alarm clock rang and she quickly turned it off, making sure only she wakes up from it so Ash and Rammie wouldn’t wake up, she quickly showered and changed up into the school uniform, it reminded her of their usual maid outfit so she didn’t mind them at all since she was already used to wearing those kinds of clothing. Nibbie smirked as she heard the other alarm clocks going off, her timing was perfect as she was just done making each one a simple yet delicious omelet sandwich with the exact vegetables each one liked, though in Ashe’s case it was simply putting whatever was left, he loved everything equally anyways which was pissing Nibbie off but whatever could she do about it. “Good morning you two, once you are done getting ready make sure to each take your sandwich and canned pineapple. there are two cans there, one for each so don’t take two” she glanced at Ash as she said the final words, she needed to make sure Rammie gets her favorite treat before this giant decides to gobble it himself. Rammie was plagued by nightmares this night. She had been looking forward to class, but horrific images crossed in front of her eyes. She grasped Hedgie as tight as she could, she would cry silently into his fluffy spikes until she finally passed out.
When she woke up, she looked at Nibbie, she was already cooking. She would slink into the bathroom, rubbing her eyes while holding Hedgie. She would grab her clothing, mostly grabbing the white button up shirt, and skirt. She could put on her knees highs, and shoes on her bed. Her jacket remained in the closet, along with the bolo tie. She could finish getting dressed later, she was really tired. She would wave to Nibbie though. Rammie would go into the bathroom. She didn't want to bother Nibbie with her nightmares anymore. She was a grown up, why did they come still? Why could she still feel the lashes against her skin?
She would turn on the shower, so that Nibbie couldn't hear her. She would cry for another 5 minutes, holding Hedgie against her body. The words would softly come out, "Sometimes the only person to understand me is you Hedgie...and you're a stuffed animal...I want to be grown up, but I can't...I don't want to be a bother to Nibbie" She would then let go of him, and shower, cringing as the water got into the hole in her head. It needed to be cleaned sometimes, and while it was painful, it had to be done.
She would get dressed after the shower. She would then Grab Hedgie and take him, and sit down for breakfast. She would eat her omelet sandwich. Nibbie was always so good about making sure that no peppers made it into her sandwich. Would she eat them if they were the only thing in front of her, yes, did she want to eat them, No. Then there was a sandwhich and a can of Pineapples! Cans were so yummy! They had all the taste of the fruit inside. Nibbie didn't even have to give her the fruit in the can, she would have just eaten the can!
Rammie would finish getting dressed once she finished eating. It was medical class time! She wondered why Nibbie hadn't gone without her. Oh, Nibbie needed Rammie. Nibbie wasn't good with directions, and would get lost. Vincent remained at the edge of the trees and waited in silence as the minutes passed. Danae and Narx were the first to arrive and most of the others streaming in a moment or two later. Sasselia's group was for the most party focused on the beauty of the forest itself. The others were doing little of note. Vincent put the others from his mind and turned his attention to Narx as the faunus boy spoke to him. Narx was asking about the town that could be scene in the distance through the trees. Vincent returned Narx's greeting and added, "Rescue operation practice." It was a concise answer that certainly gave any idea as to what was to come but certainly didn't go into specifics. With everyone here Vincent checked his watch once more and decided that he would start the lesson early. There was no point in waiting when they were all there. He moved over to a box he had set aside earlier; from which he pulled a few books. While doing so he overheard Inari lamenting that he wouldn't be able to use his tape measure. Vincent shook his head slightly. 'That was an overly optimistic plan. As if I would leave such a task to a student.'
He returned to where Narx and Danae were standing and called the others over as well. As the students gathered he held up the books he had taken out earlier. Each was a detailed field manual for first aid and emergency procedures. "Over the course or your missions you are certain to encounter injuries that require field treatment. As such I will be giving each of the team leaders one of these. While I would recommend that the whole team familiarize themselves with the contents of these books, particularly the first aid sections, I leave it up to the team leaders. At the very least you should ensure that your team has at least one person to be the team 'medic'." Vincent handed one of the books over to the nearest person from each team. "Alright moving on to the meat of the class. As Narx mentioned earlier we have built up a stage here in the forever fall forest in the form of a damaged town. The town mimics the typical construction of buildings in towns scattered across Vale and the damage in this case is typical to what you could expect to see after a moderate earthquake. My colleagues from the military's search and rescue unit that have volunteered to assist the academy with this lesson have divided into two groups. The first group are playing as victims in need of help, while the other consist of people with semblances capable of assisting us in capturing and controlling grimm. Originally this lesson was to focus on search and rescue, but since the mandate on including aura use was added we have added the second half. You will have approximately 5 minutes after your teams arrive on scene before the creatures of grimm start to zero in on the negative feelings disaster victims would be feeling out in the real world. When that happens you will have to rely on your aura to provide the staying power you will need to protect to operation until an evacuation can be completed." As Vincent explained the scenario the students had to complete for the class he lead them through the trees to the other side of the tree line. They were now 20 yards of open ground from the edge of the mock village, the five minutes would begin as soon as the first student crossed that 20 yards and entered the settlement. "I recommend that your first course of action is identify your landing zone or command post. This is were you will be moving evacuated people to and of course must be protected from the grimm at all costs if you wish to pass this test."
Search and Rescue First, students do not have to stick to their own teams while working and can instead try handling things solo for a time or form impromptu groups. That said the NPC Victims have a control value. The control value is higher the worse the condition of the NPC is supposed to be as they require more attention. A group must meet or exceed this control value in order to control the NPCs. The post count, or experience, of the students at hand tallies up together to determine what they can handle at the moment so be very clear as to who you are working with and make use of OOC planning to optimize your groups tally. (Note that a student in the group that is focused on distracting or fending off a grimm would not add their post total to this tally as it would be going instead towards damaging the grimm.)
NPC VICTIMS Lightly Injured: 40 Each of these cost 15 post to find and then control. Lightly injured individual may have a minor broken bone but will mostly have small to moderate cuts and bruises. They can move on their own power and can be directed or escorted to the LZ
Moderately Injured: 20 Each of these cost 30 posts to find and then control. The modernly injured may have minor to major broken bones and often bones vital for self locomotion. They may also have severe lacerations. They need at least one post of treatment before they can be moved and will need assistance to move, but most of their more minor injuries can be treated later.
Severely Injured: 10 Each of these costs 50 posts to find and then control. A severely injured individual is covered in wounds and often suffer from multiple broken bones and internal injuries. They take two posts to stabilize or otherwise prepare for moving and will need to be carried to the LZ, preferably on a stretcher.
NPC Control Example Hypothetically lets say that Sassy, Rosa, and Danae are currently working together. Their group would have a control rating of 256 (83+33+140). Lets also say that at this current time Danae's focus is on guarding the other two from grimm attacks so she is primarily fighting while the other two work. Leaving the group with a rating of 116. Rosa and Sassy spend 80 points to find a moderately injured and severely injured victim and start to work on them. After treating them the group starts back to the LZ. On the way they spend another 30 points to say they spot 2 lightly injured victims along their path. They get those two to follow them to the LZ on their own feet since they are only slightly hurt and can walk just fine. After getting back to the LZ the victim counter would drop by 4. The Evac ship will arrive and the mission is over once all 70 victims are rescued.
The first creatures of Grimm will be added into the mix after five minutes, or approximately mid next week*EDIT* or approximately 6-10 days after the first person enters the town.
"RaaaaaaaOoof" Tessa yawned through her hand as she approached the group. She was dressed in her usual sweater and boots but bore evidence of heavy activity on her brow and arms. This wasn't unusual, Tessa had a tendency of waking up before the team to go out and do her training, which usually amounted to lifting heavy boulders in various ways to train her muscles, and she would do this for around 90 minutes every day and would usually follow it up with a heavy carb and protein breakfast. Today was a sweet breakfast bun stuffed with eggs she'd scrambled with some cheese and wrapped in two strips of bacon before cooking it in the bread. "Sho.." she mumbled around a bite of her burger sized breakfast "Whadder we doin'? I'm still out of it"

Danaë would look to Narx with a smile. He seemed happy to be first for once. She would chuckle. "Well, the early bird catches the worm." She would laugh at her own joke. It was kind of bittersweet, soon she would look like a person, rather than a faunus. She wanted to stay near Narx, and thinking about it, she would have to. He would use his semblance to "heal" the others. That wasn't the point of their taking this class. He was supposed to learn how to heal.
Then Sasselia would show up after them. She said she was happy to see them well and that they were taking the same class. "It's good seeing a familiar face as well! I wish you and your team well!" Her voice was sweet, not sickly sweet, but sweet none the less. Honestly being in this forest was kind of nostalgic. She would retreat where ever she could from the bullies at Sigil. Sometimes that lead her to the forests during fall. She honestly wanted a cup of hot chocolate to finish off the mood.
Then a boy would show up, he was saying that he brought a tape measure to measure the busts of women. She would hide behind Narx, grabbing onto his arm. The movement itself made a single feather fall from under the coat onto the ground. Danaë would stare at it on the ground. Great. Everyone that was paying attention would know she was molting.
Then two very cute girls came in. One with Blue hair, and one with pink hair. The pink one had a horn on her head. They looked like twins, where was her horn? They didn't say anything...
Then the teacher would grab books, and place one in each team leader's arms. Danaë would look at the book. It was a guide to first aid that they needed to complete the class. This was going to be interesting, she thought they were going to get a lesson on how to set things like this, but it was clear they were being sent into the field without a quick rundown. She planned on being with Narx, if other teams wanted to team up, they could. "Team Sweetheart would like at least one more member for this." She would flip through the pages, quickly trying to get a handle on what they wanted to do.
As lovely as the forest was, Sasselia had all intentions on taking the class seriously regardless. Ever the one for pursing knowledge, and pursing to improve on her own skills with first aid and medicine, she sincerely hoped the lessons of today would help. This not only had knowledgeable value, but it granted her the honour of getting to know Rosa and Inari more. For the most part, Rosa was showing to be as shy as she herself was. Inari was proving to have an outspoken imagination, and one that could certainly keep her on her toes, especially regarding to that imagination once he got going. This morning was no exception to that. Rosa had kept her understandably shy composure, and Sasselia could only respond in kind with her own blush in embarrassment. "I was perhaps a bit too odd sounding after all, and should try to reflect with something better, in order to avoid discomfort on her end." Smiling regardless, her face has lightened up a bit in shock as Inari had brought the measuring tape along with him after all. When he said outright what the measuring tape had actually been for, she had to hide her own darker blush by the full honest tone, still trying to get adjusted to the unpredictable tones and worded phrases he ever said. "I-I don't think the girls would take that all too well A-ahaha.... " Such things would never sit too well especially with Danae, whose other half was with them in the woods to boot. Sasselia was truly happy to see the both of them attended as well, Danae's kindhearted words received with a sweet smile and a bow of her head in acknowledgement.
Sasselia had almost added more into the equation of conversation, but the eacher approaching them all had revealed for class to begin, with Tessa arriving as well near them. "Good morning Tessa you arrived right on the n-nick of time!" Gathering up with the rest of the students, she was rather surprised to be given a book on first aid and emergency procedures. "I hope we can keep these!! !I would love to read every page out!" Certainly, she could have started reading every page already. Her idyllic memory skills were pathologically good for that kind of context. There's was no telling her twice on being told to look through it! For now though, she wanted to take in the rest of the lesson instructions, directing her head towards the supposed stage of a damaged town in the woods having been set up for the class. "Th-that seems like a d-disrespectful hindrance to nature..." Keeping her opinion to herself, she had done her best to pay attention, rather intrigued by the set up of the lesson in itself. The fact they had thrown aura defence into this was a nice touch. "Oh my..." With interest, she had turned her direction of attention to Rosa, Clasping her hands together. "Would you like t-to pair up with m-me? Y-you of course can say no i-if you had other people in m-mind~. The s-same goes to yous as w-well Inari and Tessa, on regards to wehter we wish to be together or not. Th-the choices are entirely up to yous~!"
Listening to the explanation of what the class is all about made Rosa’s heart started to beat faster and faster, it was a mixed feeling of excitement and worry but what she mostly felt was anxiety, what would she do if she fails? If she doesn’t prove strong enough to help her team with the Grimm and if she was too inexperienced with first aid? Her mind was full of those thoughts and her eyes slowly started to tear up until Sass clasped her hands “EEP!” Rosa jumped a bit in place as that happened, she was too caught up in her thoughts that she did not notice her surroundings, but she understood every word that came out of Sass’s mouth “o-of course I want to join you, and here I was afraid you wouldn’t want me” she said with a smile as her eyes were still a bit watery but the tears have stopped, Rosa started to breathe in and out to calm herself down as she took out her Gauntlet from her back right after Sass released her hand “I may not be as good as you guys when it comes to fighting, but I do have a b-bit of knowledge on first aid and wounds”
