Homeworld Visit: 8th October 2020 (Backdate)

So this was Athalia, huh?

Namielle took a moment to admire the view, the monstrous slopes that towered above her head and the sea of clay that lay as far as the eye could see. Once a jungle, or that was what she could gather from the shape of the plant life that remained in its place, it was likely to have been a rather impressive place. Evidently she was at risk of her imagination running while, the potential colours that could have burst forth from the flora and even the fauna so long ago. Jungles were so full of colour on Earth so she could only surmise they were the same here... But as it stood, they were a mere echo of what had been before.

Curiosity had driven her to request a tour - suffice to say that now the senshi was comfortable with travel, he seemed capable enough of bringing more than just himself. More importantly something had changed inside him, and while he had been relatively vague on the details, she knew that something had occurred here. Something had shifted at the very core of who and what he was, the instability that had once made her nose tingle had settled and an odd peace had descended.

It was hard to describe, but she had suspicions it had something to do with whatever had happened here.

--

For a time, Athalia had afforded Namielle the opportunity to explore. Step by step he followed after the Mauvian in silence as she weaved through the clay riddled jungle. Ducking his head every now and then to avoid damaging the delicate leaves that he one day hoped to see in their true form. She seemed to be meandering in no particular direction for now, but she was conveniently heading towards the safest part of his Homeworld. Or rather, Athalia would have been under the impression it was the safest region given that it was literally the only structure that could shield against the furious storms that tore through this planet with little warning.

Given that he had no understanding of how to predict the weather patterns (of which their seemed to be none at this point in time), he had always elected to stay as close to these mega structures where possible. It ensured that if he heard that familiar roar, one that indicated he had very little time to get to safety, he was able to move before it hit. Still, a quick look to the sky above his head and it gave no signs of danger for now - clear as day, it was another 'pleasant' day on Athalia.

...Which meant it was hot.

And over the course of several weeks it had been getting hotter.

He had to wonder what in the name of all that was holy what his kind had been made of given they had the capacity to function in the increasing heat and he was genuinely curious as to how warm it would get. Would it stabilise at a point that was liveable with necessary precautions, or would it reach a point where no human would hope to survive? He very much hoped for the former given he had so much more that he needed to discover and it seemed that this was only possible when he was here.

Those echoes, those whispers, those flashes of a life once lived...

He became lost in his own thoughts, hands clasped behind him as he pressed on after the feline, until they suddenly came to a rather abrupt halt. Abrupt enough that he almost stepped on the unfortunate soul and had to raise a brow, peering down qith an inquisitive expression.

--

"Do those things always do that?" The Mauvian asked at last, pointing her paw towards the Monolith that lay in the distance. He might not have seen it, but she had, and as they had gotten closer to the rather large Pyramid it had flickered and pulsed. A single rune had lit up upon the surface and now glowed warmly, the faintest flicker of energy coiling and winding around the base and up into it.

That thing had most definitely been off, and once they had stepped across the threshold it had sprung to life. She may not have remembered much from before her stasis but she when she saw magic, especially magic that didn't respond in the way she expected.

"Step back," she ordered and shooed the senshi with her paws.

--

"And achieve what, exactly?" his eyebrow rose higher but the senshi saw fit to obey her at the very least and took several steps back. This turned into a little more than several as the Mauvian kept motioning with her paws. He could do nothing more than follow her gaze until the rune seemed to flicker off.

Had that always done that?

Suffice to say the Mauvian's face had taken on a very excited expression and as he began to walk forward towards her, the rune upon the monolith rippled to life once more. If he didn't know any better, that thing was responding to him, his existence held meaning and while he couldn't understand what that might be, he hadn't seen Namielle this excited in quite a while.

--

"Ah ha ha! They really do know you!" she squealed and then furrowed her brow. "I need to see your pen," she said after a moment and held out her paw expectantly. It wasn't an instruction he had ever had before and she gave a sigh.

"The little wand that turns you into a masked super hero," she clarified.

--

"Why?" he knew better than to argue even if he did feel he was entitled to at least some context for her behaviour. He swept his hand into subspace and pulled the pen out with one practiced moment, at which point he held it out towards her. It was only then that he realised it was crackling, brimming with an energy that he was nearly positive hadn't been there when he had transformed before.

--

Another squeal.

And the pen was snatched from his hand.

The screwdriver was whipped out by the Mauvian who soon set to work in a blaze of enthusiasm. In a flurry of activity she seemed to tear apart the peculiar device, ignoring the ripples of energy that came from it while she tinkered, and toiled, until it looked a little more extravagant. Regardless, whatever she had done seemed to have contained the anomalous energy that was coming from it and it seemed to be much safer to hold (at least to him, given anything that crackled seemed to be a bad sign). She then held it up expectantly and grinned.

"You might wanna try a Super at the beginning of your summoning this time," she announced.

--

"What?" he took the pen to inspect it and shook his head.

"Power down and then you'll see!" she ordered.

Obedience was at least one quality he did have around those he trusted and where Athalia once stood, Regula soon rested. The pen remained in his hand and the Mauvian continued to gaze at him expectantly. In the grand scheme of things it was best for him not to keep her waiting. Thus he cleared his throat and as instructed, placed the 'super' at the beginning of his ritual.

It was an exageration of course, but the ripple of power that coursed through him as he was pulled in to a new state made it clear that he had been promoted. At least that was what he would refer to it as, there were no doubt other terms for it that he wasn't aware of, but that was neither here nor there at this point.

"Congratulations, Super Senshi," Namielle grinned.

The bemused expression on Athalia's face made it clear that he was still processing this sudden change and the feline cast a side long glance towards the Monolith. Sure enough, instead of one rune there were now two. This planet recognised its senshi, and by extension, it seemed to be inclined to celebrate his successes with him.

"Now then, about that tour..." she clucked her tongue and began to walk towards the pyramid again, her tail held high. She had done her job, now she needed the stupified senshi to do his!
