Eddie Van Halen has passed away at the age of 65 from complications involving throat cancer. News broke loose of his passing earlier today and confirmed by his son Wolfgang October 6, 2020.

Sad news. The world has lost an absolute ******** legend. I was hoping there would be a Van Halen reunion and album, but knew chances were slim to none considering his health issues.
Rest in power Eddie, for a job well done.

Definitely played a big part on my childhood as my dad played guitar and loved him. He'll definitely go down in history as one of the best. Gone too soon, RIP.
