"All right... you can do this Larissa..." She muttered to herself as she walked throughout the park as the sun went down. The air was starting to get chilly again and while she was magically protected from most of it, she still felt a bit chilly when the wind rushed past her. That and she was nervous. It had been how long since she had powered up? Clearly too long as she was now a college student and had been so into her studies that the past year and a half had practically flown by! She had heard from Jason what he had been up to, but just like she, he had also been almost too busy to do anything that would be considered patrolling for the past year. And so here she was again, hoping that she hadn't forgotten anything. Fighting the Negaverse was like riding a bicycle right? As soon as it happened she would just remember! The wind picked up again, and she berated herself another time for not having brought at least some sort of wind-breaker. At least if she was forced into a battle she would probably be able to forget about the chill. But she would rather not. If she was to go out and about once again, then she wanted to make sure she knew what she was doing. She rounded a corner, no one in sight, and the park quite a bit emptier than it usually was. Because of October? Usually something would happen during the month, but that wasn't usually until the end... was she missing something?

The strange and unexplained had been something of an amusement to Namielle as of late. She'd used it as an excuse to investigate the psyche, or rather, she'd used it as an excuse to observe the fraying patience of one particular senshi. Alas, with such phenomenon so few and far between at this particular juncture, it hadn't been long until the Mauvian had returned to her usual habits.
It was these habits that had driven her outside. Keen to explore the latest little hole in the wall and the food it had to offer, the feline had strode out of her home and towards the 'great unknown'. Her adventure had born fruit of course, and she was soon wandering through the otherwise empty park with the takeaway bag in her mouth. No doubt this would have seemed like a rather unusual thing for a cat to do, but a lot of odd things happened in this city.
She had aimed to return home to consume her meal.
What she hadn't anticipated was that she would stumble upon the signature of someone new, and more importantly, friendly. Sure, she was accustomed to the usual grumpy souls that wandered these parts but when it came to order signatures she always had a niggling sense of curiosity. Given that a quick detour rarely hurt anyone, it wasn't long before Namielle was moving towards the signature and right in to Larissa's path.
"Moooowh!" She cooed and promptly set her little package down. "Now aren't you a pretty thing," she observed. "And who might you be?"

Larissa had been curious when she saw what appeared to be an animal with a bag in its mouth. If it had been an ordinary one that would have been something wild, but as the cat got closer, she could see the signature star on its head and knew that it was a Mauvian. Still, how it had gotten the takeout was a mystery. Could they do that as cats and not have people screaming about them? She was going to say hello as the Mauvian passed her but soon enough the cat stopped in front of her and set the bag down. She couldn't help but blush at the Mauvian's compliment. "Thank you. I'm Larissa, Super Senshi of Water Lilies. It's nice to meet you miss...?" Hopefully that would prompt the cat to answer. She hadn't seen this one before, though she hadn't seen a lot of them in the first place. Considering how many she had run into before though, there were a lot more than she though and wondered how much they wandered throughout the city.

Namielle squinted - for want of a better word, she seemed to doubt the senshi's introduction. Something about it hadn't quite sat well with her and she rather unceremoniously plopped herself down beside her takeaway and stared at Larissa with considerable thought. For the longest time it seemed unlikely that she was going to respond to Larissa's prompt and if anything was going to make things awkward it was probably that, right?
Fortunately, Namielle did remember her manners.
"The name's Nami," she said finally and lifted a paw to tap at her nose thoughtfully. She still hadn't quite put that paw on what it was that was bothering her until at last something did seem to give her an epiphany. This was the exact same feeling she'd gotten when Athalia was 'odd' and he'd have been as equally perplexed as this poor Senshi too!
"Are you sure you're a Super?" she asked at last and shook her head. "Something tells me you're missing out on somethin'," she admitted and promptly held out her paw. "Last time this happened I tried a thing with some other guy and neat stuff ended up happening, you got your little wand there I can take a look at?" she asked curiously.
She wasn't sure if her inkling was right, but for some reason, she felt like this lovely lady might actually be selling herself short. It was worth a shot to check at the very least, and if not, at least she could hone her skills a little beyond 'you smell odd'!

The pause was a bit unnerving. It was as though the Mauvian part of Namielle was gone and was replaced by a regular staring cat. The ones that one in blinking contests because they appeared to never have the need to do so. She was about to say something when the cat finally introduced herself and Larissa felt a sigh of relief come out. That had been awkward! She did raise an eyebrow at the question that the cat posed. "Yeah I'm Super. Have been for a while, I think even more than when I was just a regular Senshi." She suddenly thought of something and her face paled a little. "Wait, you can't go back to a regular Senshi right?!" Could they? Was she being demoted? Was that how all of this worked?!? Still, it seemed that the cat wanted her wand and she wasn't about to run away, she did feel nervous putting it in front of the cat though, wondering if she was now going to have to work her way back up to Super again.

"I don't think so?" Namielle replied with a squint. She took the wand in to her paws and examined it carefully, a few moments later and she'd pulled out a pair of unusual goggles and a tiny screw driver from her subspace pocket. With a snap the goggles were soon on the feline's head and she had zoomed in on something of particular interest.
"I mean theoretically I suppose it might be possible, but for that to happen I would assume something bad might need to happen to your planet first," She wrinkled her nose at this and shook her head. Last time she checked the Negaverse hadn't managed to find a way to travel through space in that respect so the risks they posed to an innocent and unmanned planet were almost impossible. Short of them having an secrets up their sleeves she sincerely doubted they could do anything as nefarious as removing the powers from a senshi.
...Although that was an intriguing concept.
She gave the wand a small tweak, adjusting something inside it. A clink and she pulled out the crystal, blew off some dust and shoved it back in again. Another few snaps, a little wiggle of her paws and she finally closed up the compartment she'd been tinkering with. The moment she closed it though all signs of that hole were gone and the pen looked like it hadn't been disturbed at all.
"But I think you may have have fallen off our radar for a lil bit there cause this thing was out of date," she held it back out with both paws and shook her head. "Little dusty and a bit of a patch job, but it should work a little better for you now," she continued. "You've got the same smell as Athalia did when he came into the house last time his wand had this issue so I get the feelin' that you might need to take that outfit off and try it again," she advised.
"Cause last time this happened the boy sprouted more sashes and a bigger bug on his chest so yeah," she cleared her throat and gave the wand another wave.
"Wanna try it out so I can make sure I didn't forget to reattach anything?" she offered. "I think I got everything but yours was a little different than his so just to be safe. Would prefer you didn't run off if it's broken -"
"Oh... and I'm not 100% sure the 'Super' bit is gonna work as well anymore with that thing so you might need to change it and go with 'Eternal'. S'gonna feel a little weird though when it happens, think that's normal," she added, pursing her lips at the thought. She hadn't quite cottoned on to the fact that a sudden upgrade may have come as a surprise to the senshi, she'd simply being going with her gut and the last time she'd sensed this, it had been because of the same sort of thing. To her the revelation was a small one, it might not be as small or insignificant for Larissa herself!

Well, what Namielle said hadn't been too reassuring, but it was mostly because it appeared that the Mauvian didn't know either. And so far it hadn't happened, so hopefully it would be a very very very very very small chance. If there was one, which she hoped that there wasn't. She watched the Cat with interest wondering how she was able to hold and work on the pen with her paws. Perhaps it was a magical thing? Or mauvians had more dexterity in their paws than regular cats? However she couldn't help but blush at the implication that she had been gone for a while. "Yeah... unfortunately. It's been the first time in a while that I've powered up, so I guess you caught me at a good time!" She said, hoping that Namielle hadn't judged her for being gone. Larissa couldn't help but gasp a bit when Namielle said Eternal was what she should go with. "I'm being upgraded? I... but... wow. I don't really think I'm worth it, but if you say so, I'll gladly accept it." She said smiling at the cat and taking the pen back. She held it up in the air and said "Larissa Eternal, Make-up!" And before she could even blink the transformation had completed and she couldn't help but squeal a bit in delight as she looked at her outfit and her new "wings" that were for some reason located near the butt. Weird but whatever! She went down and hugged Namielle. "Thank you so much! This is amazing!"

"There's nothing wrong with taking a break," Namielle replied and shook her head. "To be honest there are a few senshi that could stand to learn that from you," she pointed out gently. Truth be told that break may have been exactly what Larissa needed to power up, she might have simply needed to find time to relax and let her planet do its work... Sometimes a break was healthy and Namielle wasn't about to judge her for that.
"But I guess while you were away your planet was hard at work," she chuckled and took a seat as Larissa examined her wand. "That's normal as far as I remember, I'm a little sketchy on the memory front but sometimes they need a second to gather their power before they can safely put it in you," she explained. She wished she could recall the 'science' of it, but that was long gone for her and she wasn't entirely sure she'd ever recover it.
...Sometimes, things just became permanently lost to the void.
However when Larissa did finally give her new wand a whirl the Mauvian's smile deepened and she let out a delighted cheer. In a flourish of magic the Super before her had transformed into a beautiful new Eternal, puffy wings on her backside included. While she personally hadn't done anything to train the senshi to reach this point in her life...she was proud on her behalf.
"Good job," she praised. "Probably well deserved, getting to this point isn't an easy feat." She wagged her paw.
"But now you'll need to get back to work and get your bearings again, you're needed out there and you'll be welcomed back," she pointed out before taking a breath.
"Don't forget to take those breaks though, they are healthy and even if you have found some new power I'd sooner you didn't burn out because of it, ok?"

"My Homeworld huh..." She muttered to herself as she got lost in thought. She had only been there once, surprisingly considering she was, just now, an eternal. It hadn't been much of a trip. If she remembered correctly she had only come across a village surrounded by plants and had found... something? She wasn't sure. But it had been a few hours and she had needed to head home afterwards and... she hadn't been back since. She would have to go now. She needed to. "Of course. Thank you so much Namielle. I appreciate your help!" She certainly couldn't have figured the wand thing out on her own! "And thank you I will!" Though for now she couldn't really take a break. After all, she was now at a stage that most others hadn't gotten to yet, which also meant that she could help guide any new Senshi if they were to pop up. Oh! And she had to tell a certain someone of course. He would be delighted! She gave the Mauvian a smile. "I'd like to meet with you again Namielle. Maybe we can just talk about things. I'd love to get to know more Guardian cats such as yourself! But ah, maybe not tonight. You don't want your food to get cold!" She said, looking at the bag that the cat had been carrying.

The Mauvian gave a wink and lifted her own paw to tap at her earpiece, a little Mauvian communicator that she had spent much too long customizing to fit her needs. She rather adored it and given she had made her own modifications it was rather easy for her to use as well. Senshi had phones, she had a little earpiece, they all got by in the end!
"Hit me up any time," she smiled. She wasn't the busiest of creatures in the world and if someone needed her then she'd make herself free. What was the worst that could happen, her game nights were interrupted? Priorities had to be realigned on occasions and truth be told, the Mauvian was a bit of a social butterfly and did like to speak to people now and then.
Alas, the sudden mention of her food did bring her crashing back to reality and she glanced quickly at her food. It would still be warm, but she was going to have to high tail it out of here if she didn't want to ruin it by reheating it in the microwave.
"Oof," she sighed.
"That's a good point," she murmured as she shuffled back towards it and pawed at it delicately. "If you get stuck just call, I'll find a way to get to you," she nodded. "But in the mean time I'll let you stretch your legs and uh..." she peered at her food again. "Make my way back home to savour this before I spoil it."
"You look after yourself," she finished, an order rather than a request, and then she picked up the bag in her mouth. A little, flourishing wave and she began to bound off into the night, leaving the newfound Eternal senshi very much to her own devices!
