((This is a group family rp for: By Chance, Shining Opal, Crystal Clarity, Shining Chance, Shaded Marble, Side Eye.)) Time had sped and dragged for the male. He thought about his meeting with the lovely wolf almost daily, and the expected result of that meeting. Would By Chance really have cubs from that one meeting? If she did, then that would mean he was a father. Shining Opal wasn't sure how he felt about it at all. It hadn't really hit him while he was spending time with her. On the way back to his home in the Crystal Caverns it had come full force. The whole point was for By Chance to produce new members for the pack, but it meant he wouldn't really feature into their lives. He hoped they didn't hold that against him.
Five months had passed surprisingly fast. Shining Opal had spent several days traveling to the same rock where he'd met the female. Now he waited, laying resting upon the rock. He looked up to watch birds fly over head or down to watch and listen to the river burble past him. Would By Chance show up with or without puppies? That was the biggest question. He had no doubt she would show. His muscles were tense with anticipation.
WC: 196 Side Eye padded behind the rest of his family. He was walking with his head mainly down. Other pups his age might be excited for their mother to be taking them out on an adventure. Their mother had told the others that they were doing to meet their father.
For Side Eye, he was indifferent about meeting his father right now. He was annoyed with his mother for virtually ignoring him while telling them. The pup glanced up at the back end of his mother with his ice blue eye. She'd spoken highly of the male who was their father. What would he think of Side Eye? Would he be like his mother and favor his siblings above him?WC: 119 (cold) (warm)

The past few months had been a whirlwind for By Chance. It was her first time being a mother, and while she was grateful all of her pups were strong and healthy, she couldn't help but wrinkle her nose at a few of them. She'd been blessed with two male pups with seer blood, one stronger than the other, and a sturdy female who - while not a seer - would surely follow in her pawprints and seek out males with seer blood to strengthen the Coven. And then there was the male pup with no seer blood...ah well. She knew even with her own powers and Shining Opal's genes that there'd be a dud here and there. It was to be expected. Pushing her way through some bushes, By Chance paused to hold back a thicker branch to allow her pups to pass through. "Not much farther," she encouraged. The journey was long, but all four of the pups were old enough to take the little venture into the woods to meet their father. She wanted to give them the chance to get to know him at least a little just in case they ever decided the Coven wasn't the place for them, that there was at least one friendly face out here to seek out. Toddling along in the middle of the pups was Shining Chance, the darkest of his siblings but with the most curious mind. He was quite delighted to have left the pack - even just for a moment - and his whole small body was wiggling with delight as they drew closer to the meeting spot. Tilting his head back, the young pup sniffed the air and let out a startled yip as an unfamiliar scent reached his nose. Unfamiliar yet...sort of smelled like his siblings... "We must be close! I smell something," he declared as By Chance let the branch go, swinging clear of all the pups. She turned her head towards the stream and rock in the distnace and spotted the multi-colored skull that the male wore. "Very close," she murmured, a little smile on her maw as she moved forward. "I see you beat me here this time," she called out as they drew closer. "Though I had no vision to guide me this time. Just memory."

Crystal Clarity begrudgingly traveled at the front of the 'line', well a head of his siblings anyways. He hated being a head of everyone, just because of what he was born with. His mother sorely wanted a seer daughter, but ended up with him and one other with seer blood flowing through their veins. Ears flicked slightly, he was thankful that today was normal, headache free. For the time being, stopping as he looked back at the rest of his siblings, he wanted to wait for the other two to pass so that he could walk with Side Eye. "You excited to meet our father?" He asked as he started walking again beside his youngest brother. "Wonder what he is like, hopefully not like mother." This he could hope. Someone else had to also treat everyone equally, his fur fluffed up a little at their mother. While he loved their mother, he did disagree with some things. Like the wrinkle that appeared when speaking to them and the quite obvious ignoring of the youngest. Wasn't his fault he was born as he was, really... Clarity would always envy his brother. Shaking his head, Clarity waited for Side Eye to pass the branches that their mother was holding to the side, he wanted to be the last to pass. Once past the branches, he spied someone in the distance. Hearing their mother, By Chance, call to this other wolf, he could only assume that was the one they were meeting. Was this their father? He looked much like water set free from the ground to walk among everyone else. To be different from the rest. Stopping where he was, Clarity watched this stranger head tilting to one side, curious.

The sun hadn’t moved much further in the sky when he began to hear noises. The sounds of tiny paws pattering across the forest litter reached his ears, followed by a steadier step of an adult. Shining Opal couldn’t help but smile. That had to be them. From the sounds of it, By Chance had her puppies and not just one or two either. He sat up as they drew closer.
Shining Opal waved his tail as the puppies walked into sight followed by their mother. “Welcome all of you!” He greeted them. Four! She had four puppies with her! He couldn’t believe how lucky he was to be the father of four adorable fur balls. “As had I, but I had no doubt you’d show By Chance.”
One male was a beautiful nearly all black with silver markings. Was that a hint of seer he saw in the pup’s eye? Next was the clearly only girl, a very earthy girl in her coloring with vibrant green eyes. Shining Opal bet she’d keep her mom on her toes. Bringing up the rear were two more male pups. Both boys were naturals, white, browns, and blacks. He was surprised when the whiter of the two looked at him; clearly seer-blooded like him. By Chance must be happy for that. The darker of the pair was doing a weird thing, looking at him with first one eye, a fiery red, and then the other, a cold blue with a look of skepticism on his face.
Well, no matter. He’d get to know them all. Shining Opal jumped down from the rock to greet him family properly. “You’ve done well By Chance. I can’t believe four healthy pups. I hope everything went smoothly for you.” He smiled as he once more looked around the tiny group. “What are your names?”
WC: 307 He plodded past his mother holding the branch, slightly surprised she held it so long. Shining Chance spoke up that he smelled something. His mother speaking up prevented him from voicing a slightly sarcastic comment to his brother. The pup was then completely distracted by his father. If By Chance hadn't assured them they were meeting their father today, Side Eye would never have guessed they were related to this male.
He was pale and multicolored anything but the naturals he and his siblings sported like their mother. Not in ten years would he have guessed this was their father. Side Eye noted the iridescent mask he wore with interest, followed by the one purple eye, much like Crystal Clarity. Perhaps his older brother would ask how their father handled the headaches. He gave a quick glance toward the sibling in question.
As their father jumped down and approached, Side Eye regarded him first with one eye, and then the other. He still wasn't sure how to feel about this wolf. It was possible, Crystal Clarity would hit it off right away with their common bond. Even Shining Chance had more in connection than Side Eye himself. The youngest of the litter tucked himself back to observe for the moment.WC: 210 (cold) (warm)
