Cavansite was looking forward to taking her newest lieutenant on a tour, and looking forward to testing his skills. She had invested in a large bowl of candy, pleased that it was close to Halloween and you could find big bags of assorted candy around now.

She was waiting at the parking lot, resting against a wall, her eyes half closed, looking for all intents and purposes as though she were half asleep, but her eyes were waiting for Yu’s car to show up. If he was late, she would have some words for him, and he wouldn’t want her to have to have words.

For a lieutenant, words were never a good thing.

She had arrived early, as was her habit…after all, what else did she have to do, really? But, there was an excitement that was building up inside of her. This lieutenant was exciting, and they got along surprisingly well. It was refreshing. Refreshing and highly welcomed.

The sleepy expression was replaced by a half smile as she saw a car pull into the parking lot. Finally.

He was here.

He wrestled the door open, it took more fussing with the latch than one night he have ultimately been pleased with, but that seemed to be a trend given her own experience with the passenger side door.

The good thing was the enthusiastic waft of roasted garlic that escaped when he opened the door. A white take out bag that looked like it had ‘seen some things’ was hooked over one wrist and he slid out of the car like it had been a late night and an early morning.

“Garlic Chicken, as promised.” He offered, holding out the bag with one hand as he fished in the door pocket for a large cheep gas station coffee that smelled like sugar syrup.

“Coffee is mine, the cupcake is yours...when you EAT the cupcake you’ll understand why that’s a sacrifice on my part.”

he waved the bag gently side to side.
“Stole plastic silverware too.” He added

She had all but forgotten that he was going to feed her. “Well, s**t. I didn’t expect food, and honestly, if you hadn’t brought it I don’t think I would have even noticed. It smells fantastic though.” Cavansite was grinning, taking the bag from him and nodding. “You even brought me a cupcake? Did your housemate bake it for you? I don’t mind splitting it if that’s the case. Though…”

A slow smile crept across her face. “Perhaps, I’ll leave that decision until after we’ve had our spar. After I’ve seen what fighting skills that you’ll be bringing to the table.” Holding out a hand, Cavansite watched him. “It’s time to become Parisite again, now, it’s just like when you took off the power, only now you’ll simply think about putting it back on. And then…we’ll go.”

It was all she could do to keep her mouth from watering at the overwhelming smell of the garlic chicken…and after another moment, she found that she didn’t really want to. “This seriously…smells fantastic.”

“Technically I have some at home, thats why you got one too.” He said but still eyed the bag all the same.

“I’ll…do the costume thing you eat?” He offered. ‘While It’s still hot, I had to time that you know.” He added and huffed.
He locked his car and then leaned against it for a moment, folding is arms and concentrating on the idea of being, well… Parisite.

A moment later and he was wearing the weird pants and knitting hooks again.

“Here for a good time not a long time.” He quipped, stuffing his thumbs into one of the belts.
“I feel like a pirate... like Captain Hooks or something."

Well, if he wanted her to eat this here and now…there was no way that she would say no. Cavansite opened the bag and drew out the container of garlic chicken, quickly taking out one of the plastic utensils and beginning to shovel the food into her mouth.

It was better than she could have ever anticipated and she felt her knees almost go weak at the flavor. “Oh…Parisite. No, you were worth brining in just for this chicken. It is fantastic.” She gave a soft sigh and her eyes closed for a moment as she put another forkful into her mouth.

Finally she opened her eyes slightly and raised a brow. “…Maybe when I decide you’re ready for a promotion, you can be Captain Hooks, but right now you’re Lieutenant Crochet, and you’ll be proud of that.” Cavansite gave a soft laugh and shook her head, taking one last bite and closing the container, putting it back into the bag. “I’ll save the rest for after the spar, or else I’ll be too full to move…”

Her hand reached out and caught his and giving a grin, that showed plainly that she was going to enjoy this, she teleported the two of them to her office in Negaspace.

“Welcome to my humble home.”

It had been straightened up, her blanket folded and laid over the back of the couch, which clearly looked as though it were slept in every night. It was an office, but it was clearly where she lived as well.

“Let me just put this in the fridge…I got candy for you if you want any. It’s on my desk.”

“Its half slow cooker to get the chicken that tender at home.” He said ducking his head slightly, oddly uncomfortable with compliments for all that he was clearly also pleased.

“The rice can be more fussy, too easy to over do it. It’s dumb…stupid rice.” He rambled.

He blinked to see her snag his hand, half wishing to draw away, but… then they were somewhere else completely. Like, absolutely not the city. “Whaaat the helllll…” He drew out staring around.

“….you have a … office of solitude??” He arched an eyebrow, and then added. “you…. live, in an office of solitude?” Blinking at the well abused couch.
He didn’t sound like he was judging at all, just a sort of surprised curiosity.

He licked his lips and crept cautiously towards the candy on the desk, snagging the most sugar heavy one he could spot and unwrapping it with a small pleased hummmmmmm..

“So… how does that teleportation s**t work? That was…I mean I saw you do it before, I just… thought you moved super fast. But this was…” He shook his head processing.

“I’m not sure how it works, I just know that it does.” Cavansite grinned at the male and put the bag of food into her mini fridge that she kept in the corner of the office. “…It’s not…not really an office of solitude. It’s. My office. You’ll get one too one day, if the higher ups decide that you’ve earned it.” She straightened up. “This is Negaspace. It’s where…well. It’s where we have our base of operations. There are offices for the Generals and General Sovereigns, barracks here for those who either don’t have homes to return to…or who can’t return to their homes.”

She pursed her lips for a moment and gave half of a shrug.

“Anyway. You will be able to come here when I bring you for now, but when you reach the rank of Captain, you will be able to start to teleport yourself. I warn you…it takes a lot out of you at first. But, with practice, it becomes almost second nature.”

Cavansite wore a smile once again and beckoned the male. “We’ll go to one of the training rooms. And then you and I can split that cupcake. How does that sound, Parisite?”

“You guys have some weird titles.” He shook his head.
“General Soverign? I am guessing that they outrank you?” He shrugged and then nodded at the offer of the cupcake.

“Alright… I’m always down for more of my roomie’s baking. Let’s do this. ‘m warning you though, I am pretty used to scrapping with people.”

He tucked his thumbs into his belt again and tipped his head as he followed her towards the training rooms.

Cavansite nodded, looking almost amused for a moment. “That’s very good to know. Being scrappy is a good skill to have. Let’s do this without weapons at first, and then we can go from there, see where we’re at.”

She entered the training room and shut the door behind the two, stretching and giving a mighty yawn, a pleased sound escaping as some of her joints popped. “Oh yeah. That’s the good stuff.”

The General walked to the middle of the floor, giving a smile that was dangerous in just how lazy it looked. “Come on, my scrappy little Pairsite. Show me just what you’ve got. Let’s start this dance. The sooner you impress me, the sooner you get to have half that cupcake.”

And the sooner she could go back to eating that fantastic chicken. Cavansite spread her arms wide and nodded her head. “Come at me.”

He squinted slightly at that, lazy cocky smile. He didn’t think she seemed like a street sort of fighter but… that was a confident smile. Maybe she was a blackbelt or something.

“Starting the dance is a mixed bag anyhow..” He quipped eyeing her for openings. He skirted forward and fainted a punch before throwing out a low kick for her shin.

Cavansite watched him, pleased by his speed and the feint, though her leg came out to block his, her hand reaching down to grab his ankle, hoisting him up with a sharp tug. “Nice one!” She honestly seemed pleased, nodding her head. “You are rather scrappy, aren’t you? I like it. You’ll have to get up earlier than that to best me, though. Don’t go for the obvious attacks.”

Even though he truly hadn’t, and she was pleased with it.

“I’m not someone easy to fight, you’ll find, but I’ve had several years of practice doing just that…and.” The general put him back onto his feet and took a step away, stretching.

“Again, Parasite. Hit me this time, I want to see your strength.” She was sure that he had strength, he said that he was scrappy, and nobody who claimed to be scrappy could ever truly be weak.

“I won’t block you, or get out of the way…please keep in mind though, that with the white moon, especially with the senshi, they aren’t likely to let you get in close. They have magic, you see, and most of it is for use at a distance.”

He made a startled sound when she grabbed his ankle and lofted. - But for now he was staying by Karate Rules.
“I can be scrappier…” He offered…

If she agreed to that he wasn’t going to stop even if she grabbed him, he’d just hit what he could get.

“My weapons aren’t exactly designed for chucking, guess I’ll just have to be tenacious.” He added, frowning at the idea of ‘magic’ attacks.
“I am gonna guess, thats more a see it and see what it does sort of problem too?”

He made like he might pull a foolish punch, a basic round house, even if she knew he liked to bait and switch he might as well show her a trick that had worked before.
He ducked, letting the swing turn him in a half twist and then raised up to try and drill his shoulder into her mid section.
If he was lucky she’d be the one off her feet for a moment, if he was luckier she might even tip right off them, if she did he might be able to catch her on the chin as she fell.

Yes. He was good all right. Cavansite looked pleased, not bothering to try to block his attacks in the slightest and giving an amused sound when his shoulder made impact with her torso. “Very nice.”

She stumbled backwards a few steps and moved, not wanting his fist to collide with her face. She was all about testing his strength, but she didn’t want anything to show on her face. How would she explain that away?
“You have some power behind your movements. I think that’s a very good starting point. You’re crafty, and you seem like you plan what you’re going to do far ahead of doing it. I’m pleased with you, Parisite.”

Raising a hand, she patted his shoulder. “Though, next time, if there is a next time that I say you may hit me…why don’t you just…use a punch like a normal person?” She grinned, flicking his nose and looking utterly amused. “Though, that move was great. I’ll have to try that the next time I’m in a real fight.”

He made a face. “Because… I don’t normally just… punch people.” He admitted
“Normally they try and punch me first.”

He ran a thumb against the edge of his ear where the blush was showing.

“I can do it again, sorry.” He added, huffing out a small breath.
He flinched a little at the flick, more reflex than actual distress.

“Im gonna have to work on catching a kick though, That was pretty slick though I think I’d end up with a boot in my face if I tried it out of hand.”

Cavansite laughed and looked pleased with him still, nodding. “I’ll teach you. It’s not…anything real, just something that I’ve picked up. But, It looked pretty epic didn’t it? And it works really well because nobody’s ever expecting it.”

Though of course, that made the move useful a total of once in a fight, maybe twice if you hadn’t met the person for a while…but still. “Don’t rely on it too much. It is easy to see, and easy to avoid—all that your opponent would have to do would be to not kick you. Goodness, it’s fun though. Watching their faces go blank when you just…hoist them up by their ankle and fling them away from you. It’s like you’re some super strong super hero in a cartoon or something.”

The General stretched again, rubbing her stomach lightly. “All right. I think I have somewhat of a baseline for you…I want to go eat more of that chicken. And try that cupcake, and yes. I’ll share. You did good today.”
