THANK YOU!!
- Thank you for stopping by to read up on our new graduation policy! There is a lot to cover, and I am sure you will have questions. Please post all questions on the Discord! Ultimately we hope this makes it easier to graduate, but offer more rewards for those who work for it!
General Guidelines
1 ▬ Post Counts
From now on your year will be decided by your character's post counts. This is fitting as students who have progressed in their studies should be more powerful than those below them and vice versa. Also, it gives you a guideline for what year your character should be role playing. Please see the below post counts to determine the year your character is currently.
Freshmen: 0-50
Sophomore: 51-100
Junior: 101-150
Senior: 151-200
Now, once you are a senior you need to complete your graduation quest/mission. This will usually be something pretty tough or important. Usually you will have a licensed hunter take you on a mission. If you plan to join the military you can do an apprenticeship mission for them as well. Once you have completed this mission you officially graduate (you will usually be around 200 posts at that point).
We won't be having graduation ceremonies very often, but when we have a large enough group we will likely put one on. RP times don't match up with real times so we really can't promise ceremonies for opening of the school year or graduations, its just too difficult to time right. We just sprinkle them in every now and then to help the RP feel more like an actual school. You can always role play it out with your team if you like.
Simply put, everyone moves through the years based on their post count, and is only required one graduation quest to graduate. Super simple. There are ways to expedite this and get more rewards below. Also, you don't have to graduate once you meet the requirements, the crew may push you out at some point, but if you have a role play partner that you want to graduate with we will always make exceptions.
2 ▬ Quest Points
The previous graduation system was purely based on quest points, and required what we now know to be a ridiculous amount of them. Quest points will still help you graduate, but in a different way. You can graduate up to 50 posts earlier by doing quests. For each quest you accomplish you get to reduce the post count needed to graduate. For each quest you complete with a full team of four students (you + 3 others), will reduce your total posts needed to graduate by 10 posts. For each quest completed with a total of 2-3 team members (less than 4, but at least 2) you can reduce the post count required to graduate by 5. You can't reduce the required amount by more than 50 though. What this does is it allows you to not have to wait around your senior year. Most senior quests won't take up 50 posts so most seniors will be forced to keep posting and going to classes with major senioritis.
4 person quest reduces post count needed to graduate by 10
Anything less than 4, but greater than 1 reduces post count by 5.
You cannot reduce post count needed for graduation by more than 50.
This means if your team of 4 does 5 quests together as a full team you reach the max! Or 10 quests for the duos and trios. Yes, this is a lot more work, but you as a guild member can always go out and recruit outside friends to join your team. That is your duty. Crew created teams is not a right, but a gift. It is 100% on your to recruit and keep your team together! Role playing is best with proactive leadership!
3 ▬ Graduating with/without Honors!
In order to graduate with honors you need to:
-Be a senior (at least 151 posts individually for characters) unless you are going for graduate as a team in which case read graduating as a team section.
-Have taken 5 or more classes.
-Completed at least 5 crew approved quests (these include big crew ran events as well as tiny self-ran quests with just your team -- doesn't need to be modded).
-Completed a graduation mission.
In order to graduate without honors you need to:
-Be a senior (at least 151 posts individually for characters) unless you are going for graduate as a team in which case read graduating as a team section.
-Have taken 3 classes.
-Completed a graduation mission.
4 ▬ Graduating as a Team!
If you want your team to graduate together we will make exceptions to make this work in most all cases. This is a team based RP after all. We have a different scale for team graduation.
Here is what is needed to graduate based on your team size:
Team of 4 -- needs a cumulative post count of: 600
Team of 3 -- needs a cumulative post count of: 500
Team of 2 -- needs a cumulative post count of: 350
These are the base post counts needed, and thus can be reduced by up to 50 posts total through quests.
Last Remarks
-Classes no longer count as quest points. For those of you have been here when quest points were counted differently, pleased change them to reflect this new system.
