Variel 1
Variel was at the beach again, this time looking for her new hybrid friend whos name as she could recall was Iexa...something. Well the second half was a bit complicated and even he admitted it so she didn't feel so bad. It sounded like it came from the far northern dialects that she had tried and failed not to snore through in school. She had remembered daydreaming about seeing snow though, pretty sure that was was she had been doing when she wasn't dozing.
He didn't look northern at all though and it was so confusing.

He found her vefore she found him. It was hard not to see her with her clothing contrasting so beautifully with her dark skin. She was definitely noticable unlike him. He coukd blend when he wished. He would have to help her with her stealth if she were to join them on adventures and or quests full time.
"Variel, nice to see you again, were you looking for me per chance?" He gave her a smile which was a lerfect mix of his mother and Father.

"Actually I was, you see I am bored peasant, find us some amusement." She waved her hand imperiously, pointedly not looking at his face while she knew the look he had there must truly be thunderous. But it was true she was bored and he didn't need to know she was a royal anyhow.
The sun glinted off her skin and she breathed in the sweet floral tinted tropical air.

Iexa stared at her with his mouth wide open. Was this girl for real or was it some kind of game he didnt know weather to actually be mad or not. Huh, females were complicated no wonder why Mom wore the pants.
"What are you doing right now? Are you for real? On these streets your just like everyone else."

Oh dear, what was happening, was he actually getting mad? His ears had started to turn a little red, so he was definitely annoyed. Was she about to loose the first tentatice friend she had had in months?
"Don't mind me, I'm just so bored." her voice became a whine adapting to the situation. She just had to get what she wanted.

Maybe there was a chance to gentle this gorl yet, he didn't want to break her spirit at all. But there were parts to her personality which would really have to go if thry wanted to spend more than a little time together. There were things one didn't joke about and being pompous was one of them, those that ran together ran as equals unless the group decided otherwise.
"Very well so long as you are joking. What is it you wanted exactly?"

"Well I..um..you see I...I was lonely and I wanted to hang out again like we did before but ai didn't know where you lived so I thought maybe I would meet you here and I was right." She was rather proud of herself for winning this game of blind hide and seek.
And what life lessons could be learned from blind hide and seek? Perhaps trust your other senses just as well as you trust your eyes and a new world of information is open to you.
she stared hard at Iexa. This whole hybrid thing actually worked for him.

"Uh huh, yeah. Well here I am. What were you thinking we could do?" She had to have some good ideas, the crab thing had been super good. He played a lot of tag with his brother and hide and seek it kept their skills sharp.
"Maybe we could stalk people today and guess what their lives are like by analysing what they do. Or find eggs and other foods down the beach."
There he had brought some ides to the table too so she didnt feel obliged to come up with something if she disnt want to.

"Hmm those are good options, we could steal cakes from uppity vendors, climb the garden walls until something interesting happens, hunt for pearls."
It might be fun to be a merchant for a day and sell their own pearls, she could definitely use the pocket change.
She could also see herself in pearls, so elegant. Variel smiled and she knew she was beautiful.

When she truly smiled it was a beautiful thing. "Well we have many options all sound good shall we pull the ideas out of a hat?" She wasn't his twin but he figured she deserved the same respect until she broke the trust. If she did, who knew she might make the cut.
"Here," he pulled out a sack and wrote the ideas down on scraps of paper.

Even this was kind of fun. Pulling ideas out of a hat. She closed her eyes and reached her hand inside. She liked playing with boys at least this boy.
She felt the papers and swirled them around a bit. She grasped one and pulled it up opening her tiny fist to see a crumped folded peice. She opened it to see " Climb garden walls." Oooh exciting!
There was no limit to what they could see or do there.

Oh excellent a really fun one. His heart started to hammer at the spike of adrenaline at the prospect of the action they might get.
"We need to prepare, here wrap your hands with this fabric but leave your fingers out you need them to grip stuff. He handed her some blue fabric it was all he had extra, no red or he would have given her that. His own wraps were lime and forest green.

"I was climbing walls before you were even born," she laughed. For a small girl she was slightly taller than him and his alk blood was probably helping out too. He had told her eventually the mix of races he was but it was so complicated she could even remember it.
She wrapped her hands and dusted them with chalk. Here she handed him some chalk. This also helps. just dont get it on the fabric. Her hands sweated especially in Oba.

"Hah! We will see who is the better climber today short stuff." His dad called him that it was an endearment as his dad was super tall taller than most in Matori. Except for an alk/ice hybrid guy who was a fisherman.
He looked along the walls and chose one covered in moss with a large convinient tree. "We will start it out easy, lets go!"

When they got up the wall which didnt take long because in fact they were both pretty good at it. They saw within a neat garden with a grey and pink perzi sleeping blissfully in the sun
"They are so ugly/cute arn't they?" Variel whispered. They left the perzi alone and scampered over to the next one. A rock fell making a slight clatter but it didnt wake the sleeping cat. Perhaps it was old.
