Physical Description: Like many of those at High Reaches, impression made Ast'am very handsome. With a strong jaw and nose, he has meticulously groomed facial hair and longer, dirty blond hair that is often pulled back out of his face in some sort of ponytail. Blue eyes and tanned but fair skin. He is from a line of mountain folk, after all.
Personality: Ast'am has a tendency to want to help where his help may not necessarily be wanted. He's nosy and he doesn't exactly have any illusions about discretion - meaning it may be in the best interests of people who want to have secrets that Ast'am doesn't sink his teeth into them. His own secrets are just as out in the open, however, and Ast'am is just as quick to air his own mistakes and fess up to his own failures.
He has a rather strict sense of duty and honor, however, and while he may be 'only' a greenrider, he is one of the fine riders of High Reaches and understands the special role and status he never the less has. He may have no illusions of bucking tradition or trying to get status where it would, by the biology of his dragon, make no sense, but he is hardly a doormat of a man. While he will bow to status - leaders, holders, etc - someone who rides a 'higher' ranking dragon will not find him quickly tripping over himself to do as they ask. As he sees it, if he is being asked specifically by a Wingleader to do something, they want him in particular to do it for a reason and it is important he do so. A random bronzerider may not have such noble machinations.
And nobility does mean a lot to Ast'am, who will carry himself as nothing short of a proper man. If one was to picture the riders of old with their supposed straight and narrow moralities (or so they are spoken of), Ast'am would fit in quite nicely. He acts with purpose and by the letter of decorum. For many, this makes him read as very serious and humorless - good fun can often be met with an unchanging expression and lack of mirth, even if he did find it amusing on some level. He often doesn’t find himself invited to join others for drinks or any of the sort for it - not that he seems to mind.

History: Astatham's family has lived in the High Reaches Area for generations - some were riders, others from the hold practicing their various crafts. For Astatham, he was born to a greenriding mother and a much older Master Weaver who practiced at the Weyr as the result of a flight. However he came to be, while there was no love between his parents he was never left wanting. Duty would deign much of his time was spent with his father or the creche, rather than his mother who was dedicated to her drills.
He learned to understand that both of his parents had their duty and place and Astatham would come to find his own. It would take the form of turns spent at his father's knee dabbling at weaving and the longing dreams of a weyrbrat as he inched into the age of candidacy. One brought much more impatience than the other, each baby dragon ushering in more and more hope only to rip it away as they moved on to someone else.
He'd wait 8 turns for her. Eyes filled with undoubting rainbows - Astatham, are you tired of waiting? There is much work to be done - the kind of work only a green like me and a man like you can do! she declared, and while she had no ideas of toppling the skies and making the world cow at her feet, she did have the determined stubbornness to desire to be the best a green could be.
And she'd push Ast'am along with her towards that end - drills in the same breed that absorbed his mother, and into the understanding their importance when he continued to push to focus on them even after his daughter was born.
If he had any regrets it would be putting the unknown future 2 steps before the toddling little blonde who never the less he made purposeful time for - even if he wasn't entirely certain of her feelings about it or him.
The drills would pay off in a readiness to fight when Thread came to keep a future open for that little ray of goodness. He'd proudly watch her grow and find her own grasp on the future she wanted and the one that would come to her with teeth, claws, and sharpness all around. So very green - it must have run in the family.

Physical Description: Tungath is a lean and tall green, with notably short headknobs. She is fast and strong, but her long legs are delicate, as is her wide wingspan.
Personality: Tungath has a nose for danger and trouble and when that doesn't get her into it, it sure gets her out of it! At least, it does when she's willing to let it go. Tungath is dogged, ready to pursue what must be (and sometimes what doesn't need to be) to the Red Star and back. Which makes her ready to push her not-so-great stamina during Threadfall and Flights. She may not demand the world or perfection, but she does demand to be appeased.
So she may as well demand perfection, as Tungath is a particular dragon of absolute just mind. Further, she has absolutely drank the Kool aid of her status and has no illusions of bucking tradition. Might is right, and those in power are absolute to her. That said, she is more likely to tussle with dragons that don't have status and fancies herself in a position as close to the top of the chromatic food chain as plausible.
So really, all a metallic who doesn't want to spend time with a problem needs to do is gently nudge Tungath at it. She'll get to the bottom of it.
