Both of her older brothers knew what they wanted to do with themselves when they grew up when they were still just fawns! More power to them. Qal had always been one to try to sneak away from the nannies that helped keep an eye on them to try to follow their mother on her patrols as a scout. He still followed in her footsteps and became a scout in his own right now that they were more mature. Avery loved helping nouls spruce up their dens and help make their living spaces as cozy and homey as they were beautiful. She didn't want to say she was jealous of her brothers' clear, concise pursuit and acquisition of their dream roles. Yuni just...felt so indecisive. It almost felt like getting left behind a little bit. Now as a newly minted young adult, a world of possibilities open before her.

So, she resolved herself to feel out as many options as she had to in order to suss out what might work best for her! It seemed a reasonable thing to do, to get the broadest idea of what she could potentially do. Becoming a scout was one such option. Yunuen felt in order to get the clearest, most unbiased thoughts on the position was to seek out a scout that she wasn't actually related to. She knew her mother and brother's thoughts on the subject already after all. Knowing a few scouts in passing, she reached out to Sunbug. After some discussion, it was agreed that Yuni could tag along for a patrol of Blackbriar Bog. That was both exciting and nerve wracking! She'd never been to the bog, and she'd make a point to stick close to the doe who agreed to let her come with. Both for safety reasons and because she didn't want to risk Sunbug getting in trouble when she was doing her a favor.

The agreement had been to meet up at the point closest to the bog and head out together from there. And now, with the haze of Blackbriar growing before them, the dark doe shook herself. "I can't thank you enough, Sunbug. I really appreciate you agreeing to take me out today. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can learn from you." She chuckled nervously. "Though, I must admit, I don't know what to fully expect from that place. I've-I've never been...Does the job require you come out this way often?"
