Homeworld Visit: 24th May 2020 (Backdate)

An easier thing had never been done, it was supposed to be a natural state, and thus he should find that it simply came to him. Given that his powers begged to differ, the senshi had every reason to believe that he'd fail at this particular too. Following his discussion with the Mauvian he had given this a go more than once and at each point he had received no answer. As with all things in his newly born career this was not as easy as proclaimed and he had little choice but to persevere until such times as whatever it was he was supposed to call out to finally chose to bend to his will.

Days passed, weeks and months.

When all hoped seemed like it would be lost and the senshi had elected to give up and concede that the only thing to his name might very well be increased strength and agility, it seemed that what he had been seeking opened its eyes.

He'd settled in to another attempt to 'meditate', favouring this over the generic prodding at his peculiar little phone. While it rested beside him with a variety of little applications open from prior reading, he had abandoned it for the purposes of travel. Perhaps it was the dull sense of acceptance that had finally triggered something, but as his eyes closed and his breathing slowed, something stirred within him and at last the world shifted beneath him. Where he had once been simply dissolved as he was pulled elsewhere, moving beyond time and space, the magic took hold and drew him to a place that would once have been familiar to him.

Athalia.

Something in the depths of his being did stir as the dry and warm breeze brushed against his cheeks. However, it was the abrupt loss of what should have been beneath him that made his eyes shoot open. Whomever, or whatever, had deemed fit to finally answer his call hadn't considered it necessary to ensure he was deposited on the ground. He wasn't particularly high up, but it was safe to say that a few brief seconds he would be hurtling down from a height that was generally inadvisable for any normal individual to fall from.

A groan followed by an immediate correction of his position and he descended. With nothing to break his fall he crashed rather unceremoniously to the sand beneath him. Braced only by expectant ankles and knees, he could be thankful that they had chosen an arguably softer surface... Even if it was uneven and a certain part of him would remain unhappy with the introductions. A pulse through his leg reminded him that yes, his ankles, did in fact have several concerns of their own. Fortunately he didn't seem to have lasting damage and provided he was careful with the next few minutes the discomfort should path.

Rather than move immediately he therefore chose to observe his surroundings instead, something that proved to be extraordinarily disappointing. What lay before him was nothing impressive, as far as they eye could see, a mere desert of somewhat epic proportions. Whether this had once been something different before, a seat of power, or point of significance... It certainly wasn't anymore.

"Wonderful," he uttered, slowly straightening. Taking several steps forward, he began to walk in a random direction. One would argue that he was following his feet on this occasion. With no particular inclination to head in any specific directions it was the most constructive approach he could think of. Perhaps he would find something in time, or maybe he would have one of those episodes he'd been warned about when he hit a certain point. One or the other would potentially point him where he needed to go and in theory he could start to piece the puzzle together from there.

It should have come at no surprise that the otherwise stubborn planet wasn't as forthcoming as one might have preferred in these circumstances.

Despite remaining on the desolate and 'dead' world for some time, Athalia would find no answers that day. While he may have had the capacity to travel to this place he found no font of power, not whispers, not even the scarcest sign of fallen life. For want of a better way he had been left in a world of absolutely nothing...quite apt for the one without usable powers. One would argue that it may have been shock, that he may have been overwhelmed with his first exposure to space travel; but the more sensible might also argue that he the answer he'd been looking for had also been right in front of him.

The planet was far from dead.

...It was far from silent.

In the depths something breathed and pulsed in recognition of a familiar soul. However just as Athalian called out to it, its cries went similarly unheard and unanswered.

An hour more of fruitless wandering and the senshi finally glanced at his phone to determine how best to return home, something that the device was somewhat more forthcoming with - a single press and the world shifted around him.

Nevertheless, with it now proven that it was possible to reach his source the Senshi did treat it as a small victory. If travel was possible, then perhaps something would reveal itself in time. He had spent this long attempting to reach this world that it seemed unwise to simply give up now. Desert or no, the senshi would be back, even if all he continued to find was desert for the time being...
