The wind was blowing more then normal. It was a welcomed gust though has the weather had finally stepped into summer fully. The heat though not as hot as the Barrens was still pretty hot out in the Homewoods today. Couple that with the wind and it made for pretty crummy day of patrolling.

Dryxel looked up to the south, he wondered why the wind was blowing form that direction with such need. HE had been this way many time and the trees here where far to thick to ever allow this much wind to past. "Humm what could..." But be fore he could finish his though something caught his eye.

"You might as well come out I have seen you." He voiced in a unamused way that was clear to any creatures the spoke noulicorn would understand he was in no mood for games. Much to his surprise, though he did not show it, a mod slash faery flow out mirroring his very own look. " I would have said the same but to you." The faery hovered with easy and seemed to be on a mission much like Dryxel himself. " Yes well I am out scouting the area today and I would like to know if you have noticed anything strange." Dryxel was not much for small talk and wanted to get straight to the point of this wind.

The faery flow to a near by gaining branch obviously realizing this would be a longer talk then simple moving on. "Yes well I was searching the area for the same reason." That took Dryxel back some as he found it interesting that a familiar would be on it own scouting. This gain much respect from Dryxel since the faery clearly had the nature to make sure others of Vykeli were safe. "Nice to see other care as much as I do."

This earned Dryxel both a funny look and a tilted head. " Do you really...care that is?" The faery asked with genuine wonder and if Dryxel was being honest it looking like the faery was testing him. With a dead pain look that spoke louder then words could even the faery gave a nod as if Dryxel had answered even though he had not. Flying way Dryxel was left in a bewilderment. What just happened? His muse questioned but he had no answer.

After a few minutes the faery came back from out of the brush. Holding what looked to be some red wood bark like the arm Dryxel war and a pure white lily. Clearing his throat the faery begin. " This may seem forward but it is not often...well never have I ever really ran into a noul so like minded as myself." Dryxel looked a little taken aback. Was this faery asking what he though he was asking. And with one look Dryxel knew the faery was right.

The wind blow through the trees as if to push Dryxel forward into this bonding. It was not like they had much to lose really and it really seemed they were on the same page. Dryxel cleared his throat. " Yes if I am understanding you correctly." He eyed the faery still not even knowing his name. " I am Dryxel." "Sage is my name."

With that they gathered supplies for a fire and through their items into the fire. Dryxel kinda felt like they might be moving fast but good scouting partners were rare and if they could be so in tune and not know each other time would only make that bond stronger.

You find yourselves dropped into a ravine of turbulent water, trying to carry you both over a cliff's edge. You must help each other reach safety

A gust of wind swirls around them caring the smoke from the fire. It stings Dryxel's eyes so he closes them in an attempt to protect them. A rushing sound fills his ears and at some point he realizes he his holding his breath but has no clue why. Snapping his eyes open he sees he is full under rushing water. Before he can think on how he got the Sage is send crashing into his face by a wild wave. Coming up for air Dryxel can see instantly that they are in big trouble.

They are trapped in the rapped waters of a ravine with no clear out except the cliffs edge fast approaching. "Can you fly?" Dryxel yells over the loud waters. "No my wings are wet." It was not the answer Dryxel wanted but he understood. Thinking hard Dryxel trued to come up with a plan to save them. "We could rope some water seaweeded around a rock." Sage called out. It was not a bad idea but would that hold Dryxel. They did not really have time to think on it though only act.

The unspoken connection they had kicked in at the same time and they both died down to the bottom of the waters. Snatching up as many long piece of seaweed they could as the waters pushed them faster to the edge. Kicking off for the ground Dryxel broken through the water for air. sage made quick work tying the seaweed together and just in time.

A large rock was come up on the waters edge and it looked to be their last chance. " I'll swing you over and then you can tie me off." Dryxel knew Sage could not pull him in but of the seaweed held then he might just be able to work his body over to the rock. And Sage would already be safe. So here as hoping. "1..2..3.." Dryxel sent Sage through the air like a bullet and landing right on the rock. Sage wasted no time and tied Dryxel's off on to the rock. With a hard jerk the seaweed bite into Dryxel's flesh as it held him in place against the current.

Working this way and that Dryxel wiggled and twisted his way towards the safety of the rock. A couple of times he lost his footing and had to start form the end of his tither but the seaweed was holding. Pulling and wiggling with all the energy he had left, Dryxel finally made it the the rock he was tied to. Panting and sweating with most of his energy spent her knew there was still more work to be done to get to totally safety. Staining up on the rock he looked to a path he would hop rock to rock form to make it to the bank. Seeing something that might work he looked down to Sage. "Ok climb up and I'll get us to the bank where we are safe." Doing as he was told and still unable to fly Sage made himself secure and yield tight.

With the grace and elegance only a scout or warriors would have, Dryxel leapt to safety. With one last lead he landed on the bank and then a flash sent them back to the now dead fire before them. Looking around with confusion and wonder They knew the bonding quest was complete.
