Mahpiya crossed the boarder into the Blackbriar bog. This was so not a place she wanted to be in but Scoria had a need and she was going to see that need fulfilled. *Flash Back*
"Young fawn can you do something for me?" Scoria asked Mahpiya. Sure thing what can I do for ya?" she was all to happy to help a noul in need, at least today she was. "Have heard a rumor of that the Blackbriar Bog has sweet waters that will guide you to your true love." A smile played across both Scoria's and Mahpiya's muzzle at the thought of true love. "I would like you to bring me some of those sweet waters. In return I will reward you handsomely with a special stone.
Mahpiya smiled warmly at the Noul, she was having one of her more happy weeks so she would have done the task just because the noul had asked but now there was a special stone involved. "Oh my yes i will for sure fetch this water for you."
*Back to present*
That is what brought Mahpiya to the bog today, though she had started the journey with a pure and kind heart, the bog smell was enough to make anynoul regret the decision to help another. *splash* *squish* "AAAAA!!!" Mahpiya let out a yell as mucky mudding bog mud splashed up on to her main and all over her legs. "Oh its not all that bad." Molly said not to fair behind Mahpiya. "Yes yes it is." Taking a few deep breaths in she gave herself a pep talk. "Its for Scoria and a stone. Its for Scoria and a stone. "Umm you going to be ok there?" Molly Moon asked with a little worry one her face. "Yes lets keep moving."
The bog become darker and dark the farther they moved into it. The air was think and heavy and the smellish thing Mahpiya had ever smelled. And if she was being totally honest she lost her cookies a couple of times but she did not let any of the stop her. She had a task she need to do and for the love of Vykeli she was going to get through this.
"All the waters here look that same Molly. It is just yecky looking." "Yes it truly yecky but I'm such its here somewhere it has to be." They walked in silence for a long long time it seemed. All be the sloshy muck sound that filled the air could be heard. But then something not so bog sounding filled their ears. Stopping the both lessoned for its direction. In no more then a whisper Mahpiya asked "Do you hear that?" Molly simply nodded. Moving towards the sound they could smell it long before the could see it through the fog.
Coming out into a clearing of the fog they stepped into an amazing green patch of beauty. It was like a totally different world in this small space. straight in front of them was a tree fountain with the most crystal clear water Mahpiya had ever seen. "Wow this is amazing. Just look at that water, it has to be the water Scoria is asking for." Dipping the small potion veil Scoria gave her, Mahpiya collected the waters. "it almost makes you want to stay." Molly said still looking around the small oasis. "Yes it inly the green fog was not all around us." Mahpiya replied with dread knowing the walk home was going to be a long one.
"Maybe we could just.." Molly said as she laid down. Mahpiya had that same feeling but alarms of warning screamed in her mind that they really needed to leave...while they still could. "No we need to get back." She said with worry. Her father had trained her since she was young to trust her instincts and they were screaming to get out of here. Molly was already asleep which was just another warning for Mahpiya. not wasting time waking Molly Mahpiya picked her friend up and ran back into the bog back towards the Homewoods. Only taking brakes to catch her breath and stop the stitches in her side she ran all the way. She could feel the danger ever step of the way. Molly never woke the whole time which only added fuel to the run. They needed a vivify noul Mahpiya could since it deep with in.
Finally braking through the boarder into the Homewoods, Mahpiya stopped to breath in the clean fresh air. It seemed to help clear her mind some but as the fear decreased the adrenaline slowed which made her feel weak and tired. not wanting to fall asleep with out help she picked Molly up again and went in search of Scoria and a powerful vivify noul.
