It was slow going, as it should be, and there was a sort of somber feeling as he went through books, albums and other personal things. Deciding what stayed and what would come with him into a new life. It wasn't easy and it took a lot of time, time spent wafflijng over everything. So far he'd packed some books and albums - the easy things. Though he had debated on the albums. If he lost those memories did he need the albums? But what if he retained his civilian memories? Reminders of what he'd lost...or something to revisit when feeling nostalgic and lonely, as he knew there were bound to be such times.
He'd needed to take a break, to escape the small confines of his apartment, in order to get some air and try and remove himself form those feelings before they drown him. As if he could escape his own mind...and his own heart. But he was hoping to at least ease his heart a bit so he could go back to deciding on his future and would what shape it.
Maybe it wasn't the best idea to go out and power up, to wander the cities roof tops, but he was hoping to clear his mind. He needed to think properly when making such choices...he didn't want to miss something important or have regrets later on, if he remembered his civilian side and a mistake made.
Glancing around he continued on to the next roof top.

Jadarite was finally starting to feel comfortable with going out into the field when she needed to. She'd found a few small, seedy areas that she could peruse that were filled with bars, drunkards, and the homeless population in a way that was presumably connected. In any case, it was easy enough to drain there without causing a scene, and then get back to the more pleasant parts of her job. Except for tonight, when she felt an Order aura looming above what was her area. There had been a time when she might have ignored it and hoped for the best, but she knew that if she wanted that promotion, she was going to need to be more proactive about these threats. Also, she didn't want the senshi getting any ideas about this region. So she made her way to the rooftops herself, and before long she caught a glimpse of a man in white robes. She leapt over to his rooftop where she looked him over with her arms crossed and a heeled foot tapping almost impatiently. "You shouldn't be here, senshi," she said.

He's felt the aura and knew it wasn't Wolframite, he was stronger, but it was someone else...someone who surely hadn't a clue about his plans for the future. What were the odds of him being able to tell this person though? He doubted the odds were that high, they might just be the attack first and ask questions later sort.
That in mind he turned when he heard the voice. The idea of trying to tell them anything, telling them he planned to join there side, flew out the window when they told him where he shouldn't be. "And you're going to tell me where I should be as well? It's not your decision." Not the best choice of words, he knew it, but he did not like being told where to be, what to do, and other things. It reminded him too much of his parents who'd told him all those things far too often...and didn't like to talk to him because he'd made his own choices - and they did not approve.

Jada continued to tap her foot, her expression going even more sour at his response. "No. I don't care where you go as long as you leave my space," she said, pausing slightly between every word for added emphasis. She tried to stand up tall with her chest puffed up against her arms the way that she'd watched her Generals stand. Her gaze was steely and unflinching. If she channeled enough of that confidence, he would never know that the thought of a scuffle had her heart pounding in her throat. "If you choose to stay, that choice will have consequences," she said. She summoned her stapler to her hand. It didn't look like much, but it added a painful weight to her punched. She took a step forwards, tilting her head.

Raising a brow he glanced about for a moment. "No your space - no sign. It's a roof top." Pointing out the obvious though he figured he was really stabbing himself in the foot. Hadn't he done similar with Wolframite the first time they'd met? He hadn't been scared and had even nearly dared the other to kill him? He was fairly certain he'd done something similar to that. Oh well, here his mouth went again.
Was that a stapler? It looked like it but he wasn't certain, not from this distance, but he knew that could be rather painful if it had some weight to it. Lovely. He wasn't looking for a fight but he might just had walked into one, and dug his hole a bit deeper as well. This wasn't likely to go over well in the end for him, not once he changed sides.
"Consequences be damned." More spoken to himself than her. He wasn't going to be pushed around...he'd handle it.

Jadarite wasn't going to give this boy the satisfaction of arguing technicalities. He'd made the decision to stand his ground, and so had she. That much was clear. She'd seen firsthand just how nasty these senshi could be, but there was also no way that she was going to be the one to back down at this point. She'd been keeping up with her training, anyway. It would be fine. She just narrowed her eyes and gave a sigh that was far louder than it needed to be as she closed the remaining distance between them. Then, she thought back to her spars and drove her stapler towards the softest part of his stomach with all her might.

He would have commented about her being huffy, and if she was so bothered perhaps go home for the night. But she was walking towards him and he had a feeling this wasn't going to go so well, and perhaps he shouldn't add more fuel to the fire he'd already dumped gasoline into. Stepping back, to soften the blow since he wasn't going to be avoiding that, he grunted in surprise and pain as the stapler hit his stomach.
That really wasn't nice but he knew the thing had weight to it, which he hadn't been sure of. Best to keep his head away from that thing.
He really hadn't been looking for a fight...really he hadn't. But sometimes people just wanted to be a Karen and he didn't care to tolerate them, he dealt with enough of them at work, he wasn't dealing with it even more. He honestly didn't know what his magic would do, he'd never ******** used it, but now was as good as ever - right? Instinct was the only way he knew what to do, since he really was clueless on this magical girl thing, but he found his body moving and words passing his lips as he ut his magic to use. "Sweeping Loneliness"Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: Sweeping Loneliness With this attack Miyamoto gives a sweeping gesture with his hand, either one will do, and while nothing is seen those within a four foot range (in front of him only) will suddenly feel lonely, as if they are the only person alive even if there are people all around them. They will feel small and alone in the world. This feeling will last for twenty seconds before fading away. Can be used three times in battle.

The sensation of the stapler hitting his body wasn't necessarily pleasant, but the surprised sound on he made and the look on his face made it all worth it. A few more of those and perhaps he'd realize his errors and leave as he should have done in the first place. She was pulling her arm back for another strike when he called his magic. It wasn't that she hadn't been expecting retaliation. Of course he would defend himself, that was nearly a given, especially with how he'd been talking. The problem was that the senshi magic she'd seen before had always been physical if not quite solid. There had been lightning strikes and energy blasts. This should have been nothing, but there it was, some empty numbness deep inside her chest. Jada was the kind of person who always tried to be in control, but that fell apart every once in a while. For example, right now. The world was just so big, so much, and she was so small and alone. Her arm faltered and fell back to her side, and she stared past the senshi blankly.

Stepping back, glad to see her rendered unable to further attack him, Miyamoto put space between them. He didn't know just what his magic could, and was, doing to her but he really didn't care. She'd attacked and he wasn't going to just stand and take it either - that wasn't him. Though if he did know what his magic did he might feel something over it, he might feel sympathy, but it wasn't like he'd ever used his magic much less felt it's effects.
Distance put down, with him across the roof top, he waited and watched. He was curious about his magic and if she'd do anything further to him. Was she ok anyway? She was sort of just standing there....was she lost in her own mind or something?

She could still see, and her gaze followed him as he walked across the roof, even though following him didn't feel worth it. She stood there with gritted teeth as the seconds stretched out, not able to shake the feeling of how alone she was, and not able to pull her mind to anything else. Then, it went away as quickly as it had come, and Jadarite blinked hard before her scowl returned, even deeper than before. She glared at the senshi over her glasses, although she didn't make a move to close the distance between them. Not yet. There had to be some way to counter his magic, or to prepare for it. She just needed time to think about how to do that. While she watched him, her free hand came to her hip. "Have you decided to leave, senshi?"

"I wasn't the one aching for a fight. I'm also not one to be pushed around like some child and told what to do." He wasn't leaving, just giving distance. He wasn't going to give her whatever she wanted, which was him leaving, just because it was what she wanted. He was willing to stay here, on this roof, without fighting her. But he wasn't going to just leave because she told him to.
"I'm staying right where I am." And if she came for him he'd just hit her with whatever magic he had again, it seemed to have done enough to back her off for a bit. Maybe she'd get the idea and leave him alone?

The answer came to her as she continued to watch him. Distance. Of course. He must not be able to cast his magic from across the roof. Unfortunately, Jada didn't have much in the way of a ranged counterattack. Perhaps he had a point, as well. If he was so attached to this roof, he could stay here while she did her draining. That was a fine, practical, outcome, and if he followed her, she could reevaluate. She wasn't quite ready to go without testing her theory, though. With a small, annoyed shake of her head, she threw her stapler at him to see what would happen.

Well, that was rather childish and he turned as quick as he could in the hopes of avoiding the flying stapler. It didn't hit him in the face or the chest but instead it hit his back with a good amount of force - it had him stumbling from the shock of the impact as it had been sudden and he hadn't prepared for it - he couldn't see it coming.
Hearing it clatter to the ground he turned, slowly as that was what his back would allow, and shook his head. "That was childish." And she gave up the only weapon she had...and that was stupid, unless she could fight without it. "I'm not giving it back." He wasn't going to hand it to her and be that close to her when she had a weapon in hand - he wasn't that stupid. His left hand pressed to his back as he spoke, rubbing at his back.
"I'm also not leaving." Certainly not now, not with his back hurting that much, he was not leaving and he was not letting her win. Now he was just going to be stubborn and dig his heels in sort to speak.

Jadarite took a moment to evaluate. It had hit. Her aim was better than she thought, and she half-smiled at that. He also hadn't retaliated, not at his current distance. His magic must have had a range, then, and any hand to hand fighting certainly did. That was information for the database. He was stubborn, she could tell that much, but perhaps she could use that to her advantage. If he was so committed to staying on this roof, he wouldn't be interrupting her draining. If her main mission had been fighting senshi, it would have been different, but that wasn't neccesarily what she was meant to be doing tonight, and after seeing his magic, she didn't think there was any low-risk way for her to get his starseed. "Very well. You've made your point. I hope the bruises were worth it," she said, then added, "Don't follow me," in the same cold voice. She leapt to the next roof over, although for the moment she was headed away from her 'territory' in case he continued to disobey her for the sake of it.

"And I hope whatever my magic did - will keep you away." At least for now he thought, smiling to himself at that. Wait till he found her again, either on purpose or by accident, once he switched sides. he might just hit her with his magic again, if he remembered this, just as a way to greet her.
"Don't worry - I'm not interested in you enough to follow." Waving a hand over his shoulder, as he was turning away from her, as he glanced about. "You'd have to be worth something more for me to follow." In fact she'd have to be a whole lot of things she wasn't in order to gain his interest - too bad on her?
Now he was at least alone and able to sort out the bruises he surely had and whatever other damage her little toy had done to him.
