Masika gave a small huff as she readjusted her hold on the boxes and baskets she had piled up in her arms. Thankfully the lot of them were empty. Since her mother had wanted to come back to Matori and check to make sure her father and sister werent there she had the opportunity to stop by her old shop and pick up the left behind supplies. The owner she'd been renting from had been nice enough to hold onto her things since she had paid to keep the space even when she wasnt there to run or open the shop for business.
She'd left Edaj, her janarim, outside her old shop rather than take him along with her to pick up the empty boxes but now she found herself wishing she'd brought him along.

Ilkay rested back against the small fence that separated the street from a shop yard and watched the people go by. He was mostly people watching for the day. He'd had no desire to fight or actively look for someone to spend time with. A true lazy day for him. But fates had other plans as his grey gaze spitted a hybrid girl who seemed to be carrying a bit more than her arms could hold.
For a second or two he watched, not making a move, but when she adjusted her grip for a fourth time in front if him he gave a smirk and shook his head. Ilkay pushed off the fence and made his way over to the blue female. "Hey there Sugar, looks like you could use and extra set of hands. Allow me to help carry some of that for you." He figured he'd at least offer to be helpful.

Masika had to stop and bring a knee up to help her adjust her hold once and when she thought she had it she started to walk again. It was about then that the voice of a stranger reached her ears. They were asking if she wanted help. Her orange colored eyes blinked abd she stopped in her tracks, jarring one basket off the top so that it fell to the ground. "Oh. Oh! Uh.. An extra set of hands would be very helpful."
Her gaze looked toward the boy and instantly saw that he was a hybrid like herself. A bright smile appeared then. It was nice to see those. What really got her attention though, was the Matorian markings. It made her curious about his mix.
"I just need to take these to my old shop so I can pack up." She pulled herself from her thoughts so that she could let the boy know where she was needing to go.

When the basket at the top of her pile tumbled over he moved forward just fast enough to catch it and prevent it from hitting the ground. Ilkay grinned at her and offered a wink when she agreed that another set of hands would work. She seemed to be looking at him as he reached for more of the things she had piled up but he was used to being stared at. In fact he kinda liked it.
As she said she needed to go to her old shop he nodded his head. Once he had the majority of the pile in his own hands he motioned with his head for her to lead the way. "After you, Sugar." Not only did he not know where her shop was but it would also give him a very delightful view. Any that knew him knew he rather liked that view too.

She waited as he took things from her. Though Masika felt kinda bad when he ended up with most of what she'd been holding. In fact she was just about to argue when he told her to lead the way. The hybrid bit her lip but nodded and took a few steps in the direction they were going before pausing to look and make sure he was following.
Once assured that he was she began again in earnest. Of course she kept looking back at him to ensure that he was still there and not lost in the crowd. "I really appreciate the help. I likely would have dropped a few things by now." Masika offered a smile to the boy after she spoke. "Could I trouble you to take those inside the shop for me? It'll be easier for me that way." She hoped that wasnt over stepping.

With the lady taking the lead he was able to admire her small waist and nice hips without much notice. Of course he had to bring his eyes up every so often when she turned to look at him. Ilkay always gave her a reassuring smile when she looked back too. He hadnt run off with her empty baskets and boxes and he had no ulterior motives. When she mentioned that she would have dropped things he nodded his head in agreement. "That is very likely Sugar, you had them piled kinda high." It was one of the reasons he'd come to help her.
"Hm? I don't mind." Staying in her presence a bit longer might give him a chance at something else so he wasnt opposed to it. It also alleviated any boredom he might have had. "If you need help with anything else, Sugar, I'm willing to help out." Of course he had a few things in mind too.

She had caught on to him calling her 'Sugar' but it didn't bother her overly much. Of course it did leave her with a reminder that she'd not introduced herself to him. "I'm sorry for being rude. Here you are helping me and I forgot to give you my name. I'm Masika." Had her hands not been full she might have offered one to him. Instead she settled for a very small curtsy and tiny bow of her head.
"You are?" Since she gave her name it was only right she knew his as well. It also would make things easier when she needed to thank him for the extra help.
As she spoke and waited for his response she led the way down the street to her old shop. It wasn't too far so the walk would be a fairly short one at least.

"Masika." He repeated the name and let it roll off the tongue. He'd heard easier names but there were also harder ones out there. Overall the name wasn't a bad one and it certainly went with her; Unique. "Lovely name, Suagr."
At being asked for his own name he smirked at her. "Ilkay." His gaze had watched her as she'd curtsied at him but in truth he was more interested in her figure than her manners. She wore a dress that seemed like it was a lot of fabric but as he looked he could tell the top was a bit tight. It looked as though the cute and innocent hybrid girl was hiding a rather curvy body under all those layers.
During the walk to wherever she was leading he was more or less mesmerized. His thoughts kept taking him in other directions but all came to the same conclusion. Ilkay was likely going to be left wondering unless he could somehow convince the girl out of her dress.

She didn't repeat his name aloud as he had with hers but she said it over and over in her mind to ensure that she remembered it. The name had a nice ring to it.
Masika was oblivious to the fact that her helper was ogling her from behind. Instead she was focused on leading the way and when they arrived she gave a visible sigh of relief. "Alright here we are." Her orange gaze glanced back to make sure Ilkay was still there then she opened the door and stepped inside. She was nice enough to hold the door open for him too.
"You can just set them on the floor or the counter over there." She needed to load up all the fabric and then the sewing stuff.

The walk hadn't been too long so he didn't complain, and as mentioned he rather enjoyed the view. When the arrived and she held the door he stepped on through to the inside of the shop, pausing only shortly to let his eyes adjust and so that he could look around. Masika gave him directions soon after on where to set the boxes and baskets down so he moved toward the counter to do just that.
Once he had them all unloaded and sat on the counter he patted his hands together to brush them off and looked around yet again. "So the shop closed then?" He was rather curious about that now.
Bringing his gaze back to her he offered a smile. "I can help pack if you tell me what to do."

She looked around the place with a bit of nostalgia as Ilkay asked if the shop had closed. "Yeah. I left for a while to travel and there was no one here to run things so..." Self explanatory there. Masika lifted her shoulders up and let them hover for a second before lowering them back down.
His offer to help made her smile as she looked toward him again. The boy was turning out to be her knight for the day. "That would be wonderful. Could you grab the bolts of fabric and put them in boxes?" There weren't that many left over and she'd made sure to get boxes big enough to fit them. While he did that it meant she could gather up all the smaller things and put them into baskets.

As she told him what happened to the shop he nodded and continued to look around. It was cute little place. Of course he wasn't sure why she didn't have another worker or something watch it.
Ilkay gave her a glance when she gave instructions on what to help with then nodded his head. Rather than go to the fabric then back to the box he grabbed one of the boxes and took it with him over to where the bolts were so that he could load it up. Nothing was heavy so it wasn't a full work out but that also meant he could be a little less attentive to what he was doing and more attentive to where she was.

As Ilkay worked on getting the fabric bolts into boxes she moved over to the main desk of the shop and started emptying the drawers into baskets. She needed to make sure she grabbed all her utensils. Scissors, measures, rulers, pencils, and notebooks. As well as needles and threads and pins. When the desk was empty she moved over to the next little area.
The extra set of hands was really helpful and when she had the chance to look over at the boy she smiled at him. "I really appreciate the help. What type of food do you like? Maybe we can stop somewhere and get something afterward."

While he worked he steadily watched her and took note of where she was. Ilkay wasn't trying to check her out this time but more so he was spacially aware of where she was in the room compared to him.
So when she spoke he wasn't surprised by her voice at all, as he'd noticed her looking at him. It took him a second to reply though. "I'm actually not picky, Sugar. How about we get what you like and I can try it." It was a smooth way to find out what a girl was into and he used it often.

She thought about his offer to eat what she liked instead and after a minute she nodded her head. "Alright, we can do that." Her taste in food wasn't too crazy and most people liked what she ate so it wasn't like she was going to get something he hated.
Masika smiled at him again then went back to packing her things up into the baskets and left over boxes. "If you're done with the boxes we can take them out and load them onto Edaj." She paused as she spoke to see if he was ready to take the boxes outside.
