In recent months, hunting had become somewhat of a lesser priority for Cybele. She still found youma often enough, but she'd been finding new senshi, too, and talking them through their magic or their questions. Old allies had been showing up as well, which had been surprisingly lovely, but with all the focus on networking, it had been a long time since she'd found herself face to face with a ranking member of the Negaverse. She was making her way through a series of alleyways when the aura came to her attention. It was larger than anything she'd run into in a while, although there was still something distinctly youma about it in a way that made Cybele's skin crawl. That was all right. She curled her hands into fists at her side. There was something deep inside of her that had been itching for a proper hunt, and once there was a certain amount of Chaos in something, it made parts of this so much simpler. "Come on out," she called, and her voice carried. "I know you're there." Her tone was low but not quite harsh. Not yet. Hopefully it would take the bait and she wouldn't stumble onto some scene of carnage. In case it wouldn't, Cybele kept moving forwards.

Wolframite lived for patrolling. It was time away from the Negaverse on a planet filled with smelled and noises and pulled to old aches forgotten but calling. It brought alight pieces of him but primal and tragically human. Being on the surface sang in a language he hoped through repeated exposure to better understand and maybe sing back to in the same words. Typically he would have Laven or Tina by his side of be training his recruit Nat bit it wasn't bad to be on his own.
It gave him time to think. To drop the roles he set up around others to be alone with just himself, whoever that was.
The call was sent out and what carnage she might have been expecting was minor to what imagination could have thought up. A dead fox with it's neck snapped. It had stopped spasming minutes ago and he was inspecting the coat when he was called.
"And I know you are there. Do you think I cared." He called back, turning to the signature, the sound, and walking out from the line of bushes to the opening of the small community park.
"What do you want?" He asked, annoyed as he opened his space picket and gently placed the fox corpse inside it.

He talked back, which made it easier to find him. Cybele picked her way around a few corners until she found herself face to face with him, although she halted at a large enough distance that she could use her magic if she needed to. He was a Captain, by the aura, and could speak. Even if he was just making annoyed demands, it was enough to make the part of her that was trying to learn mercy hesitate. Still, there was no looking past the youma in him, not with this one. His eyes gleamed yellow and his claws were wicked and wrong. That was where her eyes lingered for a long moment. The fox barely got a second glance. It was strange that he was going after animals, but that was something she could think about later. He wasn't human anymore. That was the part that mattered. "That's what I was afraid of," she said. "You're beyond saving." There was no malice in her voice, but her jaw was set tight. "I'm here to stop you." Her hands curled to fists at her side and she stepped back into something of a stance.

He heard her and a ear flicked at the comment. He wasn't here to be saved. He already had been by Faustite and the Queen. This senshi would never be a savior to the likes of him. "Never asked."
Her stance said she wanted to fight but he found it a bit funny. "Stop me how? To scare me away? I've met far more scarier things than you. I know you can't purify me. Not enough power for that. So do you intend to kill me?" He asked, eyes narrowing on her with a hint of mirth.
"How exactly? Are you going to blast me into a million pieces? Tear me so I slowly bleed out here. Drown on my own blood. Snap my neck? How many officers have you killed, Bambi?"
He got into his own stance.
"I wanna see how determined you are to stop me. How about a bet?"

If he was attempting to disgust her with images of violence and gore he would be disappointed. Cybele continued to stare at him impassively. She, too, had seen far scarier things. Her lips twitched at the Bambi comment, and she glanced down at the flowers on her bracers. She could have tried to get some advantage from pretending she was gentler than she was, but that was not the way she did things. "Two on my own, if you must know," she said, voice cold. "More in groups. One of your General Queens." She sank deeper into her stance. It was a proper one, now. "I've learned not to make bold promises such as 'I'm going to kill you' with how slippery your kind is, but that was the idea, yes." She left her exact tactics to his imagination. No need to spill all her secrets. She did pause at the offer, though. "What kind of bet?"

"If you convince me you fight to kill, I'll take your damage upon mine. You can leave me damaged for what will be however long to recover. Teach me a right lesson on how strong senshi can still be. Renew my faith. But if I feel you aren't serious. That you faulter. That I could really rip you apart, then you take your damage along with any you gave me."
He looked a claw about his chaotic-jeweled collar. "Got a bit of magic of my own for that."
If she did help in killing a General Queen, then he would need to be stronger than her if he hoped to attain that rank. He had to know that power of what was still thriving within the senshi ranks.
He wanted to believe it. Craved it. That the deaths were earned.
"Deal?"

Cybele made a bit of a show out of considering, letting a moment pass as she pressed her lips into a thin line before she nodded, slowly. She had little faith that he would keep his end of the bargain. Deals and promises meant nothing in a war like this. That was something she'd learned the hard way. Still, she would play along if it would encourage whatever reckless cockiness had him speaking to an Eternal in the tone that he was, and buy herself a bit of an advantage. "Deal," she said, and as soon as the word left her mouth, she called out, much louder, " Hunter's Strike!" It was her most powerful magic, although it required her to be a certain distance from the enemy. While they'd been talking, she'd been measuring the ground between them. Now, an ethereal longbow formed in her hands. It was nearly as tall as she was, with five arrows on the string. It wasn't as strong as a real weapon, but it did real damage. She drew and loosed the bow in a practiced motion, then advanced towards him, ready to close the distance between them. MoonKitsune I should probably reword this, but- Eternal Sailor Attack: Hunter's Strike An ethereal bow forms in Cybele's hands. Five arrows form this time, and now she can use them to hit enemies. She can aim at a single enemy with a range of 15 feet. They will have no effect on people within five feet of her, however. The arrows will spread out over a small area of about two feet in diameter. It's mostly a single target attack, but could possibly hit two people with a little timing. It's somewhat hard to aim a bow with five arrows on the string, though. If they hit, they will do about as much damage as a dart, including scratches, pricks, and slightly more serious stabs. It could be fairly serious depending on where they hit, though. The aim on this attack is not great, at best one or two will hit the main part of the body. The rest will hit limbs, be scratches or miss completely. It's possible to outrun. The arrows dissolve as soon as they hit anything, so the attack can also be blocked. She can use this attack twice per battle, but it drains her.

The moment she said Deal, he perked up. Rushing forward, he felt that tense response whenever he heard a senshi call out anything.
Hunter's Strike. The Irony.
Arrows materialized in her hands and with quick precision, she let them rain upon him. He tucked his chin down, using his arms to protect his face and chest, but felt them shot into his arms and body. One lodged into his leg then dissolved, The pain was sharp and instant but without them being stuck into him, it didn't stop his movements or hinter his muscles.
Wonder if she has more. Anything worse.
Throwing his arms down, he lunged forward, giving a large, arching slice towards her.Quote: ✧Bite Worse than Bark: Wolframite has glands in his mouth that allows him to produce poison. With this, he can lick his claws and pass on the effect. When cut, the wound burns like hot acid and the effect continues, causing a searing hot pain through the point of contact. The intensity varies on the rank of Wolframite at the time and the rank of the enemy."

Even as she moved forwards, Cybele watched where her arrows hit. The leg. That one seemed to be the most direct hit, but it didn't slow him down. She barely had time to process that before he was on top of her, swinging those wicked claws at her. She twisted away from a direct hit to her head or vitals, but couldn't completely dodge. The claws ripped through the flowers and ribbons at her side and into the flesh underneath. A gasp caught in her throat. Cybele was no stranger to wounds or pain, but that burned, more than it should. Magic? It didn't matter. He was hurt, too. Cybele bit down hard and kicked out, aiming for the leg that had already been wounded.
