Einarr was working hard, not just to get the cape for Silke, no. He realized as the fishing season started to draw to the end, that he wanted to win something out of this too. He debated fishing enough to get himself a matching cape to wear. Like a regal king and queen! Not the actual king or queen, no, but... something like it. A lord and lady perhaps? If there was such a thing. But, no, he didn't want to take away from Silke's loveliness. The cape would be much more suited to her. Then, he considered the fishy accessories, notably the sharktooth earring. Remembering the pike's teeth in his hind leg, that was an easy no.

But there were those titles. Bass Pro and Catfish Catcher. They may not be as regal in name as King or Champion - the next title on his impressive agenda, once he found other Knights to duel with, but it was one that was only available with the fishing season. It would be one that made him stand out from the others! He wanted it to happen, wanted to become a Bass Pro that his pack mates would admire him for. He bet his mother didn't think she would raise such an excellent fisher son when he was a pup! And Silke... she would stand next to him in her elegant shell cape. An excellent match, to be sure. King and Queen aside, they would be the couple that was envied by all, once he exchanged his fish for her cape and his title.

So, he went out to fish! It was becoming commonplace to see him by the river after the rest of his duties in the pack were taken care of. Sometimes, he would invite Silke with him, even after their dreadful first lesson. Sometimes, like today, he would go alone. He went to the river and stopped, having learned not to plunge right in. He sat on the shore for a while, watching the flow of the river, keeping his shadow off the water even as he leaned over it. He peered into the shadows to see if any fish were going undercover. Then once he was satisfied, he went out into the water and waited for fish to come by.

He caught two of them before he opted to go back onto shore. His hind leg tended to throb if he stayed standing for too long and he knew better than to fish with three legs, even in the shallows of the river. With a tender stretch, favoring is healing leg, he picked up the two fish and tried to do the calculations in his head. He surely must have enough to get Silke's cape for her, now, right? But what of that title?

Well, no matter. The fishing season would be over soon. So he would jsut have to pull double time until he was certain he had more than enough fish to get all the goodies he desired from the merchants! It couldn't be that hard, right?
