A soft, teal light pulsed in the darkness of the collapsed building, past the bright yellow tape warning !!CAUTION!!
It showed faintly through the gaping doorway, where it bounced faintly off the far wall at the end of the hallway. A low, chirping noise accompanied it, the type of sound a device might make when trying to get the attention of a human to operate it. It wasn't a terribly odd thing for Destiny City, where odd things happened all the time, but it was certainly just a bit unusual.
The darkness was often dangerous here, hiding things no one liked to talk about, but the light felt so... cheerful. The sound was cheerful too, almost friendly, even.
Yes, Hello! It seemed to say. Could I please have your attention?
One would have to duck beneath the tape to follow it. Climb over the fallen beam in the door way. Work their way down the rubble strewn hallway... but who knows what could be waiting?

Two figures moved in the darkness. "I can't believe you're making me do this." Dawn commented as she ducked under a fallen beam leaning on the wall in their way. Davie shrugged stepping over another. "Some one could be hurt, with at that chirping and light flashing, besides, you wouldn't be if you didn't want to want to." Dawn frowned as they crossed the construction tape. He was right, she didn't have to be here. They looked down at what seemed to be causing the chaos, puzzled. "Is it some sort of pod?" They asked simultaneously.

Down the hallway and around the corner, the space opened through two collapsed double doors into what might have been a lounge or meeting space... but was now just piles of rubble and trash left behind. The floor seemed to have sunken and collapsed a few feet past the doors, and the light came from this large hole, shining up.
Perched on top of the rubble was a mechanical, spherical object. The front of it was a clear material, scuffed a little and dusty from its time here. The light came from below it, around the edges of opening, and what could been of the inside seemed to be padded... and holding an occupant. A small silver cat lay curled in the pale light, a strange sort of visor wrapped around her face. Eyes closed, she could have been dead, her form still and unmoving.
Below the opening, a small display showed an alert message, and it was in the general area of the display that the chirping sound came from, the sound matching the pulsing of the light.
Attention! Pod Malfunction! Please release seal and reset stasis pod! The message scrolled past, over and over, a button blow it blinking with the word 'Release'.

Dawn's jaw dropped. "Okay... this is definitely alien." Without stopping to thinking about it, Davie impulsively pressed the button. "What are you thinking? We don't know what that does or .. what could be in there....Are you crazy?" Dawn practically screamed. "Uh yes we do," Davie pointed to the cat inside. "It is a cat." "A Cat with a Visor ... it is an alien cat... oh...look it is cute .. and helpless... and maybe hurt." "See that's what I'm saying." Davie commented.

The door of the pod released with a hiss of escaping air. The light changed from red to green, the alert message now displaying: Pod Released. Whatever malfunction seemed to have corrected itself, or at least, was no longer an issue. The door popped open and swung outwards, everything finally settling.
Inside the pod, the silver cat stirred, and after a few twitches, arched her body into that long, liquid stretch that cats are so good at. Her jaws cracked open into the widest of yawns to display sharp little pearly fangs, and then as she relaxed... green eyes blinked open behind the purple glass of the visor.
"Prt?" The noise was very cat-like... questioning as eyes focused on the two humans hovering over the opened pod. "Oh, Hello."
The voice that came from the cat sounded young, and distinctly feminine, and it was definitely speaking English.
"Um... Where am I? And uh... who are you?" The cat asked as she rolled over and sat up, her tail twitching.

Dawn just stopped. Froze. A cat speaking English? A cat? That was too much. Meanwhile Davie just went with it though with a little shock. "Um, I'm Davie, and this is my twin sister, Dawn. You seem to have crashed your pod in this," he waved his hand, "Underground Construction Site?" He grasped for words. "Are you alright?" Dawn seemed to have her voice.Her voice was gentle. She did like cats after all. And one that could communicate back to her, that was just plain awesome!

The cat's head tilted to the side questioningly and she glanced around her, taking in the pod she was sitting in the middle of.
"Oh, this thing?" She asked, reaching out to pat the edge of the opening with a paw. "I crashed it? I don't remember that... hmm."
Truthfully... she didn't remember much. Or... anything, really, before she'd woken up. It was all kinda... fuzzy and grey. If she reached... she could just grasp a hint of something before the rest of it slipped out of her mental fingers.
"Oh! I'm fine!" She said brightly as she gathered herself and leaped out of the pod, landing lightly on the ground outside of it. Her long, silky tail curled back and forth as she cat-smiled up at the two young people. "Dawn and Davie, hmm? I'm... Ash! Yeah, that's it. Ash. I think, anyway. You two feel... familiar. I mean, you're maybe not, since I didn't know who you are and you didn't know who I was... but you feel good. Do you want to be my friends? I like you."
It hardly mattered that they had just met and she didn't know anything about them. Surely they were good people... they had let her out of that pod!

For Davie, the answer was simple, she was a new friend already. "I would love to be, Ash." For Dawn, this was a bit complicated. A presumably alien talking cat that had crashed it's pod in an underground construction site with little or memory - perfect plot for a sci-fi movie or a really weird dream. But in the end (only seconds after her brother) she had to admit she wanted to be friends with Ash too. "Definitely!" She grinned.

Their answers were exactly what Ash had been hoping for. With a delighted laugh, she darted over to curl around their legs, arching to rub her silky sides against one and then the other.
"You both definitely feel good... I'm surprised we haven't met before. I feel like I'm supposed to do something for you. How curious..." It nagged at her, that feeling. There was something she was supposed to be doing... something important!
Concerned and focused on that feeling, she acted without thinking, like someone reaching out to pick up something they know is there without looking for it. And finding it.
Turning in place, there was small burst of light and sparks as something feel from the air to click against the cement floor... followed soon after by another as Ash turned in place again. Two metalic sticks lay on the floor and the cat stared at them curiously, her sluggish mind struggling to sift through memories. These were familiar too, and she was certain they were for her two new friends, but...
"Here you go! One for each of you. Consider them... gifts! As thanks for helping me out. They do stuff, I think, when you speak a command phrase." She reached out to touch one stick and then the other with a soft paw. "This one... is Abramov, and this one... is Giclas. You can active them by saying... hmm..."
She dragged her mind for the words, her eyes unfocused. "It'll be something like... 'Abramov Power, Make-up!'. Yes. I think that'd do it." A grin split her face as she patted one stick towards each of the young people, looking entirely pleased with herself. "You should try it out! I'm sure it'll be impressive."

Davie in his impulsivity grabbed his purple and red pen. Before Dawn could stop him, Davie held it high in the air and yelled, "Abramov Power, Make-Up!" Brilliant light filled the dark area. Suddenly, Davie was wearing a purple and white Kimono with a bright red flower cap. He radiated power. "Nice cap," Dawn smirked. Davie, now solemn and careful with words, commented, "I am Sailor Abramov, Senshi of Rafflesia. Death be my domain." Dawm raised an eyebrow. "Ookay." She gently took hers, raised it up and called out, "Giclas Power, Make-up!" Bright light again filled the room. She suddenly wore a mini Kimono, white with blue bubbles and purple leggings. She had belled sleeves and boots that matched her Kimono. She wore a blue headband with a large orange bow. "Woah, sis. You are beautiful." Davie said. Well he didn't so bad in his outfit. Something suddenly came over her. She was jolly. "I am Sailor Giclas, Senshi of Jasmine. Time to Jas it up!" She too radiated power.

Ash turned circles with delight as the young man took up the pen and was drenched in light, his outfit changing as new power suddenly radiated from it.
"Yes! That's it! Look how handsome you look now... and yes, you too!" She chirped as the other twin took up her pen as well. The grey cat bounced from one to the other, rubbing against their legs as she laughed. Whatever had happened, it felt right in a very fundamental way.
"Ah, my beautiful senshi!" Ash said when she settled back to sit, looking between the two of them. "Congrats! I'm very proud of you both. Now you can fight evil and stuff. I think, anyway. Mmm... there might be something else I'm missing though... you need another thing..."
Turning in place again, two small phones popped out the air to clatter on the ground like the pens.
"Yes! There we are. So you can contact each other, and me of course. And other stuff I think? They should be very useful, anyway. One for each of you." She said, sitting down to pat a phone with a paw.
