Occupation
First Prince of Estherel: As the line of succession is largely dependent on his mother's whims, all the sons of Bormiel's queen are taught how to rule the kingdom, as well as how to . They excell in different things, of course, but as the eldest, Connie makes the greatest effort to be well-versed in anything that he might need as a ruler.

Hobbies
Hunting/Falconry: Connie knew that he needed to take up a masculine hobby and since he and his brothers were all taught the necessary skill for combat, he decided to go along that vein and give hunting a shot. He's actually pretty good, but he enjoys his falcons much more. They're all named after his favorite romantic heroes, although he'd never admit that aloud.
Fashion Design: Much like his mother, Connie has an eye for fashion. However, he doesn't trust the court seamstresses to fit his clothing well enough to his body so he prefers to make and/or tailor his own clothes. it's due to this fact that Connie is actually an unintentional trendsetter in the court.
Chess: Despite initially learning how to play chess in order to better emulate the Mad King, who famously forced all of his daughters to learn chess in order to be efficient in battle if the time ever came, Connie found that he had a knack for strategy and now enjoys playing in his spare time.
Baking: Fortunately for Connie, you don't have to be good at something for it to be a hobby. He's a terrible baker. Dreadful. Awful. If you need to loosen your teeth, you eat one of his cookies. If you need an excuse to get out of work, you snack on one of his charred cherry cupcakes. Just don't tell him any of that, he's sensitive.

The Personal Things
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
Personality Constantine is a difficult person to understand. He likens himself to a Mad Prince, a spiritual successor to the Mad King who has fought so hard to find a son, but the truth of the matter is that Connie just doesn't have it in him to be as wild or as impulsive as Hernan Trastamara. He is greatly ruled by his emotions, yet doesn't act on instinct. Instead, every action is a precise decision. He locks away his true self, the part of him that aches to be known and accepted, and instead hides away in his ambition to emulate an insane ruler and be crowned king of Bormiel. He stifles his weaknesses and holds his head high with borrowed pride, pretending to be far more ruthless than he actually is. This weight unleashes itself in the form of extreme anger, his unbridled cruelty the only way he truly mirrors the Mad King or the Bloody Queen. He's carried on this way for so long, he doesn't even remember how it feels to be unburdened and free.

Strengths
It's Just a Bunch of Hocus Pocus: His mother's talent with magic is not hereditary, unfortunately, but Connie has made the effort to practice magic as often as he can on his own. He studies alone and has never admitted to any person of his abilities, although he himself is uncertain as to whether it's out of shame at not being as gifted as his mother or to have an ace in the hole. Nevertheless, Connie is not completely untalented. He has solid control over pyro- and telekinesis, and is a fair conjurer and caster. Blood magic, however, is still very much out of reach.
I'll Face It With a Grin, I'm Never Giving In: If there's anything Constantine can do, it's power through the worst storms. Having spent nearly all of his life stifling down his deepest desires and dreams, he's well-practiced at exercising his will and carrying on through whatever may be thrown at him. He's lost so much over the years: his father, the loves that he never admitted to caring for, the friends who ultimately betrayed him, even the love of his precious mother has never been consistent. Despite this all, he has forced himself to learn how to keep cool under pressure and never for one moment allow his stone facade to crack. In many ways, he's far more like the Rose Prince than the Mad King; Connie is secretly far more gentle than he'd like to be seen as and so he maintains a false mask of cruel sneers and violent outbursts. However, until Prince Remiel, Connie has begun to believe that his mask is his true nature.
Not-Quite-Mama's Boy: One would think that this means he doesn't care for his mother. That's not true. Connie adores his mother and would absolutely anything for her, but his ambitions come first. If she were in the way of his goals, she would be eliminated. Maybe. Honestly, he's not entirely sure that the woman can be killed.

Weaknesses
I'll Top the Bill, I'll Overkill: In his reach for infamy as a Mad Prince, Constantine does have a bad habit of getting ahead of himself. Case in point, he's made a point of being over-involved in every execution, even when it was one of his playthings. Even Ishgarian diplomats who are used to the Mad King's antics get a little uncomfortable from it.
An Island Alone: His family is fairly tightknit despite their mother's efforts in pitting them against each other. He loves his brothers very much and would do whatever it took to protect them, but he doesn't feel very close to them. If anything, he feels like the odd man out, It can be argued that he's the one pushing himself away from them (probably to hide his inner turmoil better) but he's not about to philosophize about it.
The Unwanted Animal: So hey, in case you can't tell, Connie's gay. He has no attraction towards any kind of woman whatsoever. Not even a little. However, he's in deep, deep, deep denial and has been forcing himself to partake in pansexuality. He does permit himself the occasional romp with a male prostitute, in essence rewarding himself, but only after a specific period of time or after a certain amount of encounters with females. He has never come out and probably won't at any point in the near future. It's debatable whether or not he's even willing to admit it to himself.

Biography
Constantine was the firstborn child of the King and Queen of Bormiel. His childhood was average for a royal firstborn: nursemaids, tutors, whipping boys with a remarkable turnover rate. He never wanted for a single thing, not even when his siblings were born. Each boy signified the strength and power that this new line would bring to their great kingdom and Constantine, while never close to his father, was raised to fulfill the role of the Crown Prince of Bormiel. He was still very young when his father died mysteriously. The court whispered about the queen taking control of the kingdom, but Connie kept his head high and glared at anyone dared to speak ill of her or of his father's memory. That is, until the rumors about his father's death started to circulate. He refused to listen, throwing tantrums and insisting that his mother make the gossipers pay for their loose lips. He still heard the rumors, though, that his father had died as part of a suicide pact in the arms of his young lover, a warrior that had once been close to the queen. They whispered about the shame of a homosexual king and the heartache that his poor wife must be going through.

All just in time for Connie to begin to realize that he had more in common with his father than he was comfortable with.

Constantine decided to reject all connection to his scandalized father and began to look for a new role model. This came in the form of the Mad King of Ishgar. King Hernan was a monster in human form, a cruel beast who had sex with anyone that caught his attention and ruled his country and his daughters with an iron first. Constantine loved his mother, but she wasn't a king and was royal by marriage. He was royal by blood and the kingdom was his birthright. He wasn't going to be the king he wanted his father to be. No. He was going to be better. As years passed and Constantine grew, he felt unfamiliar and unsafe desires begin to bubble up. Whether or not he'll be able to keep them under control for much longer remains to be seen.
