Where am I?: She's recently moved herself to HW to start anew and, for the time being, she's not feeling like venturing far from her new home.

Extra: She is blind! Her visual perception isn't utter blackness. She can discern between light and dark, e.g. can spot the light from a lit bonfire in a dark clearing and would be able to navigate to it. Things get exceedingly, uselessly fuzzy when cloudy, overcast, or around dawn/dusk. Can pick out dark forms in front of lighter backgrounds. Less lucky with lighter forms in front of dark backgrounds. Dark tends to swallow much of her visual perception. Similarly toned things layered over each other end up indiscernible from one another or the background. Details are lost to her.

She really enjoys clear, pleasant days. Doesn't like being out and about when there are storms or hard/torrential rain. It's much harder to hear things clearly, plus it's generally darker so just about impossible to make out clear shapes in the little she can perceive. Olwen leans much more on her hearing and touch, since her vision is lacking.

Looking For:

• Someone to take her to the Grandfather Tree. Be it a friend of hers, or a navigator, wanderer, or scout she asks/hires to get her there and back again. She does feel the call to help heal Vykeli, but doesn't know how she'd be able to do it on her own. It just seems impossible, especially since there's new big predators outside of Homewood.
  
  
• Interactions rougher, misunderstood, physically different (mutated, scarred, or injured) nouls (or whomever really) - She can't see what makes them different, so she wouldn't treat them any differently than she would any other individual.
  
  
• Seeing eye friend (at least until she acquires a familiar)? Or just friends to kick around with for running around HW. She's spent her whole life in HW, though she may tend to stick to certain more frequently travelled areas unless she's got someone going around with her.
  
  
• Flashiness falls flat - Do you have a character who is a big ol' flirt and makes of point of showing off how outrageously good looking they are? Perhaps they don't initially realize that she's blind. That'd be a big ol' miss for Olwen. Not only does overt flirtation without at least some previous interaction or lead up to the flirting from the one pitching woo turn her off pretty quick/make her suspicious, but she can't see the bod/markings/whatever that they're so proud of. Could be played for humor or as a blow to their ego or whatever. c:
  
  
• Kindness of strangers - (Before or after GT quest, but certainly before getting a familiar) Olwen finds herself in an unfamiliar location, either having gotten separated from or lost her guide, gotten left by a less scrupulous one, or got in an argument with maybe an NPC friend who had gone out with her, but they left her stranded in a huff. Needing to get back to Homewood, she'd need someone to either help her find her original guide/the wayward friend, or escort her back home themselves. (Or elsewhere, ya know. There's a reason she's guarded. Not everyone will have her best interests at heart. One bad day could lead to a whole, lengthy quest just to make it back home.) [Could lead to a whole series of interactions/locations, depending on the initial choice of the stranger. KoS could also be done a couple of times with different folks for separate occasions of bad luck and needing to get home.]
  
  
• * As open to HW-based mate(s) as to those with wanderer, navigator, or farther ranging roles or places where they spend much of their time. Looking ideally for one (maybe two) HW mate(s) and one or two mate(s) from outside of HW (or those in on the road types of roles), where she could be their proverbial port in the storm when they swing by . Emotional connection/friendship has to be there. She's gotta feel love and trust for those who are prospective mates.
  

Where am I?: She's a Homewood native and will only appear elsewhere if she's escorted there. [Which can be done by NPC if RPs dictate that she needs to be elsewhere. c:] Otherwise, she's got a few locations within HW that she has memorized so could be found on her own.
