Hobbies: books -- Corrine’s late father was something of a scholar, and one of her adoptive dads is something of an aspiring academic as well. In short, their love of books has rubbed off onto Corrine, and she too, loves to read as well. Her favorites are poetry books as well as classic fairy tales… the ones with happy endings, of course, though she’ll also sometimes read her ‘bookworm’ dad’s books, too. Corrine is a regular patron of the Destiny City library as well as her own school’s library, frequently checking out books, though when she can afford it, she’ll also visit her local bookstore or buy new books online.
songwriting -- Both related to her love of books and poetry, and also in accordance with her dreams of being like her mother, Corrine aspires to be as great of a songstress as her mom once was, to where she’s taken up writing some of her own songs. It’s not exactly anything award-winning so far, though maybe it doesn’t
have to be anything worthy of winning any awards. In fact, it’s mostly poetry more than anything, because Corrine is better at writing lyrics than actually putting them to music. However, she’s proud of what she’s accomplished so far, and her dads encourage it, too, so maybe ‘just poetry’ is all that’s really needed for now.
performing -- Corrine’s late mother was a renowned stage actress and performer, charming many an audience with her beautiful singing voice and powerful stage presence. Although she wasn’t able to impart all of her knowledge onto her young daughter before her untimely death, Corrine has aspired to reach that same level of talent as her, to follow in her footsteps. Luckily, her school has an extensive arts program, and Corrine is a member of her school’s drama club, which she actively participates in. Initially, she started out with small bit roles, such as a background extra with little to no lines, but she’s slowly worked her way up to larger roles.
Virtues:altruistic -- Corrine will walk your dog, watch your cat, and help water your plants, for the low low price of free! She enjoys helping others, and doesn’t require anything in return- just the feeling of having made someone’s day is enough for her. Conversely, she’ll accept payment if it’s insisted upon, albeit in a somewhat flustered fashion, but otherwise, she prefers to help for the sake of helping out.
caring -- Having lost people close to her already, Corrine is protective of the ones she has left. She cares for their well-being, and, although she can’t do much on her own, wants nothing more than for them to be safe and healthy. She hates the thought of seeing anyone close to her suffer or be sad, and will make a point of doing what she can to help make things better again.
determined -- ‘If you set your mind to it, and work hard, you can accomplish almost anything.’ Those are the words Corrine has lived by, and the mindset she has when chasing her dreams. She is steadfast and unwavering, resolute in making those dreams come true.
Flaws: pushover -- Corrine will walk your dog, watch your cat, and help water your plants... or was it water the cat, watch the dog, and walk the plants...? As happy to help as she is, Corrine has a hard time saying 'no' when asked for help, and tends to get in over her head, with too many things going on at once. She's aware usually that she's taking on too much in such a short time frame, but still can't stop herself from saying 'yes'. She just likes to help that much! Though even Corrine will concede and admit that it gets very overwhelming very quickly.
wistful -- Having lost her bio parents at a young age in two separate incidents in a close period of time, Corrine tends to get awfully nostalgic about the days of old, of happier times and smiling faces. Although she’s forever grateful to her adoptive dads for taking her in and giving her a home, Corrine tends to feel a great deal of loneliness at times. It’s something she tries to internalize and keep a secret from people, but it’s easy enough to figure out when she’s being reminiscent, flipping through old family photos and videos.
naive -- Corrine likes to see the good in people, despite their flaws or whatever misdeeds they may have done. This tends to lead her to become blindly putting her faith in the wrong kinds of people at first, swayed by their promises of being people she can trust or having learned their lessons, should she have been wronged by them before. As much as she tells herself she won’t be fooled a second time, Corrine often finds that she can’t help but fall for the same tricks all over again.
