"So," Chip, still in his 'civilian' human form, said with a little grin. "Believe me now?"

"Now?" November responded with a bit of a shrill tone and an exasperated shake of his head. "Kid, I believed you when some kitten in a top hat started talking to me." He tapped the kid lightly on his head. "Was all that really necessary?"

"Weeeell," Chip allowed slowly, shrugging his shoulders lightly, "Probably not, but," he grinned. "I didn't do that at all! You saw all those other people flailing around too, right?" Vem nodded. "Yeah, that was some kind of cursed item, and I really wanna go have a look at it," that prompted a wide-eyed stare, but he paid it no mind, "This is more important, though! You're Sailor Meztli, the senshi of Swordfish!"

"I'm...huh?" Vem replied. "I have no idea what that means."

"Don't worry," Chip said cheerfully, "You will! C'mon, we've got places to go!"

Looking toward the charity ball, Vem considered a moment. After that whole ordeal, he decided, going away from there sounded like the best option, all things considered. He sighed after a moment. "Alright, lead the way, I guess..."

About 5 minutes into leading, Chip stopped abruptly. "What is it?" Vem asked, half expecting another insane time warp or whatever to suck them away.

"Oh, uh, I just remembered you can't use that teleporter," Chip said lightly, as if he was saying nothing more strange than 'I missed the bus.'

"The...teleporter." Vem responded flatly.

"Yep!"

"I...guess I shouldn't be surprised by that, should I?"

"No...probably not." Chip shook his head. "It's okay, though! Lemme just..." Rather abruptly, he sprouted ears and a tail, and looked around, as if expecting trouble...but then nodded his head in satisfaction. "Okay, I'm gonna call a friend, and they'll help us out here!"

"Erm..okay?" Vem replied. "What, right here?"

"Yeah, why not?" Chip responded, looking around again, and considering where they stood: At a rather arbitrary street corner in the city. Cars rolled by occasionally, people walked the streets, hurriedly, for the most part. "Oh." He nodded. "Right, yeah. Let's go over here, then."

A few more minutes went by before they stopped at a little public park overlooking a small lake. It was getting late, so there weren't any people around.

"Okay, this should just take a minute!" Chip said cheerily, and made a call to General-Queen Hessonite. She was always happy to get a call from him, he was quite sure. Especially with a shiny new Senshi.

The whole experience started and ended surprisingly quickly for November. A somewhat crazy-eyed looking lady appeared out of nowhere (at this point he wasn't even shocked at that). Chip presented November as "Meztli," and she seemed very pleased...and in rather short order, the new Meztli finally understood exactly what sort of thing Chip was "offering" him.

Chip promised the General-Queen he'd make sure the new senshi got all the information he needed, as well as find him an appropriate superior ("I know you're very busy, your queenliness," was his exact phrasing)...and so she sent them on their way.

"Okay!" Chip declared once she had disappeared again (which had caused Meztli, now feeling a bit awkward in his new outfit, to jump and look around for her briefly), "Pick me up, and I'll show you what you can do!"

"Erm..." Meztli replied, frowning at the kid, "Shouldn't you like...turn back into a cat or something?"

"Nah, nah, I've got time," Chip responded with a dismissive wave. "It'll be fine."

"I'm sure," Meztli rolled his eyes. "But a cat is much easier to carry than a kid."

"Oh, that's true," Chip allowed, nodding quickly. "But trust me."

With a sigh, Meztli squatted down and lifted the little catboy up by his armpits...and it was like he was nothing. "Woah, what? I know you weighed way more earlier..."

"Nahh!" He replied, giggling. "I weigh the same, but you're a senshi now! You're way stronger!" Chip abruptly turned back into a tiny cat, and scrambled all the way up Meztli's arm while he was still trying to figure out what happened. "Now it's time for some proper fun! Let's go running!"

"Running is your idea of fun?"

"Well, not exactly...more like...I want you to run, and jump over a car."

There was a brief moment of silence, as Meztli blinked and stared at the little cat on his shoulder. "You're kidding." The little cat seemed to get a bigger grin then. "You're serious. I swear, kid, if you put me in the hospital after that whole craziness earlier."

All the same, he did as suggested, and dashed out of the secluded part of the park they'd been hiding out in, and took a leap over a parked car he came across...and sailed over it like he was jumping over a Tonka truck, a tiny cat cackling gleefully on his shoulder. After he landed, he came to a stop and looked back at it. "H-holy s**t, that's...wow."

Chip laughed a bit more, and nodded. "Pretty cool, huh? Senshis and officers can do all kinds of cool stuff like that. You're stronger, faster, can jump higher...and you've got magic, too!"

"You say that like what I just did wasn't magic."

"Well, okay," Chip rocked his head from side to side thoughtfully. "It is. But I mean a thing that you can, uh... cast!" He nodded. "All you gotta do is focus on the idea of a senshi power, and what it is should just come to you."

"That's it, huh?" Meztli replied, cocking an eyebrow. "Okay, uh, lemme think. It's like..." He frowned, scratching his nose, then an ear..which distracted him briefly. "Yo. What's with my hair?"

"Oh, that?" Chip replied, rotating in place to regard the massive length. "I haven't really figured out why, but all you senshi in the negaverse get wild hair like that. It's sorta your think, along with the marks."

"That's gonna be a problem when I go home, you know," he said, tugging at a strand gently. Definitely real.

"Nahh, you'll be fine," Chip replied. "It'll get short again when you power down."

"Okay, if you're sure..." He shook his head, and considered a bit longer. "Okay, magic...magic...something like a... Swordfish Joust!" he declared, suddenly having a clear-ish picture of what he needed to do...and he dove forward into the air as he called that out.

He shot forward at a rather prodigious rate, undulating like he was swimming through the water, both arms forward and ready to strike...although there was nothing to strike, so he just kept going. It was a good thing the street was currently deserted, because there would have been trouble. After 10 seconds, he dropped down, and rolled back onto his feet.

Chip was something like 100 meters back, in his human shape again, and running after, laughing. Meztli walked back toward the kid, shocked by his own speed. Once they got closer, Chip said, "That was great! Wow, I love it. That'll come in super handy...and I'll bet I won't fall off if I know what's coming next time~"

"That was pretty cool," Meztli agreed. "So, Swordfish, huh? Does that make me some kind of...Aquaman?"

"Huh?" Chip looked a bit confused a moment, but then nodded. "Oh, yeah, I guess so...can't talk to fish, but maybe you were one in a past life...never know!" He laughed at the look the senshi gave him and added, "Probably a fish person instead of just a fish, though. Regular ol' animals can't be senshi, you know."

"Are there, er...really fish people?"

"Oh, uh...probably," Chip replied thoughtfully. "I mean, I don't really remember what it was like back then, but long ago there were many worlds with many kinds of people. Humans, Mauvians, other species, too. I think some still exist, but I haven't heard of any being here, except Youma."

"That's those...uh...monster things, right? Do I need to worry about them?"

"Nah, not really," the kid shook his head. "I mean...they don't like senshis, usually, but they're on our side. Just let 'em do their thing, it'll be fine."

"Uh-huh," Meztli responded doubtfully. "Guess I'll see, then..."

Chip handed him a little data slate, then. "Here, you'll want this. You can use it to talk to other Negaverse officers, and me. You probably wanna get some sleep after all that, so...let's meet up again tomorrow, and I'll get you all set up with who you'll be working with!"

Meztli took the device and tapped at it briefly. Not a bad piece of tech, it seemed... "Don't suppose I've got a choice."

"Not really, no!" The boy replied cheerfully, cat ears and tail reappearing as he declared that.
