Aishan Prompts
Future Considerations Aishan-only Prompt Closes 7.20.20
Solo or RP Format Counts as 5 RP growth Points Solo word minimum is 750, RP post minimum is 7
Prompt Much had changed since the seeds were sown islands away. The sisters of Chibale kept communication with Chiume, excited to hear that Azehra was growing strong in Belrea. Many extremist sisters also communicated with Kiros, some even traveling to the new island to protect Esena. While strained, the relationship between the two had a common goal in protecting the seed of Elzira. Overall, it seemed that the new cousin trees continued to improve Aishan relations.
But still there was the big question on if the relationship between Chibale and the extremists could be mended. The sisters who held the strongest grunges from the war were growing older, and a new generation was forming with their own opinions. Curiosity outweighed anger and an interesting rumor was spreading around all four Aishan settlements.
It seemed that the young mystics were being encouraged to hold a summit somewhere in neutral grounds. No one knew exactly what the goal was, but many could speculate that a peace treaty might be in the works. The question is, would it happen considering their history?
[ Rumors are spreading that the leaders of Chibale and Zinris are considering peace. What are your thoughts on these rumors? Do you believe them? Do you think they can happen? Explore the past feelings and how your character feels about a future of Aishan peace. ]

There was a tension amongst the Alkidike Sisters in Chibale that carried over into other countries. Verosh could feel it every time he greeted others, the hushed whisperings of Sisters suddenly halting when the hybrid came into view. All he could do was silently roll his gaze before venturing away once more. It was obvious what they were discussing because even he had heard the news that the Chibale Alkidike were opening relations with the exiled Sisters once more and allowing a treaty to form. The Elaria mystic and their young mystic had proposed a summit to discuss matters and Verosh, like many others, was definitely wary of it all. Why would they want to discuss peace after all the atrocities that the Extremists had performed and that some continued to do while exiled to Yael? Was the weight of the older generation truly fading away now? Verosh hadn't been around during the original war but it was that story which drew his parents together. Giving exiled Sisters a chance at redemption was a sore topic within his household and his mother was very against the idea of it all. Perhaps the Elaria after a while could be trusted but they had done little to prove themselves worthy of Chibale's trust. Could they really reach out in good faith and find peace? Only time would tell but in the meantime Verosh and his mother would be sharpening their weapons. They had too much at stake to risk their family's peace in Jahaur, especially when it had taken years for the earthling father and hybrid son to be fully accepted by many of their neighbors in Jahaur.
Verosh had not witnessed much about the other Alkidikes and their cousins, the Elaria but even he doubted how solid this treaty would be. It was hard to believe that the natures of others could shift so easily and unless most of the older generation had truly died out it would be hard to accept peace, especially when the Chibale Alkidikes were more and more open to the idea of hybrids and working with earthlings. Frustration creased his brow as he continued swinging his borrowed spear against the training target, his thoughts fueling his energy as he worked harder than usual to make certain that he was prepared for any conflict. The Elders and mystics best have something over the Extremists' heads to truly bend their will. He thought with a frown before pulling back. He was doing no good by just attacking the target over and over. Perhaps it was best to be more productive with his energy and venture over towards the blacksmith he had encountered the other day. Just the thought of the other hybrid made his cheeks flame slightly but there was a gleam of determination as he glanced at the weapon in his hands. He had promised to help her at the forge and to show her some of his form so that she could make a perfect weapon for him. If not now then when would be the best time for a new weapon? The thought made him pause thoughtfully before he turned on a heel and started walking towards the blacksmith, his blue gaze brilliant as he sought out Jhana near her workshop.

Jhana had woken up early that morning to start her work at the forge. The sun had only barely started to leave a dusky hue on the sky that peaked through the Jauhar forests when she had gotten her fires to the right temperature. She wiped her brow and left her shed to get some air when she saw what she thought was a person coming through the forest and in her general direction.
They were still too small to make out who it might be, but she thought that the shape looked familiar. Her guess was that it was Verosh, making good on his agreement to see her again.

Verosh knew that it was ridiculous but he swore that the closer he got to Jhana's forge the hotter the area became. Was he feeling the heat from the fires or was there some other reason that the back of his neck felt especially warm, something which only intensified in feeling whenever he spotted the other hybrid? His lips pressed into a tight line as he approached and gave her a nod in greeting. "I'm sorry if I arrived late." He commented quietly. "We've been dealing with visitors at home ever since receiving the most recent news from Chiable." Verosh wasn't certain how it would affect Jhana but his mother was constantly busy with gossiping Sisters who wanted to visit and pay their respects. Either way he wasn't one to gossip but it was hard to sneak away whenever his mother constantly asked for his help in preparing tea and escorting other Sisters throughout the area. Verosh also wanted to avoid any potential teasing and couldn't express exactly why he wanted to leave and any normal excuses wouldn't suffice for avoiding company in their current situation. At least he had finally made it and now here he was looking towards Jhana almost sheepishly as he waited to see what she would like for him to do next.
"How may I help you today?"

Jhana grinned as the shape cleared and she could clearly see that it was Verosh and she had been right. He brought up the news from Chibale and her antennae twitched in interest. Had he heard more than her? She wasn't exactly on the outs with the others, but she was usually busy and only knew what it was that was said by those picking up or putting in orders for her. It was a slow week so she had only gotten bits and pieces. "Has there been more news?" She asked him with genuine interest.
He asked what she needed help with and motioned for him to follow her. "I don't have much for today, but if you could work on just hauling some of this inside the forge that would be helpful." She offered, pointing out some of the ore that needed to be melted down and purified before smithing.

"Some." Verosh managed with a small frown. "I don't know how much you've heard about everything but they are trying to hold a meeting and form a peace treaty with the exiled Sisters and their daughters." He didn't feel quite comfortable calling them cousins yet himself considering the damage they had made. As a hybrid Verosh doubted they would want him to claim blood connections with them either based on the stories that he had heard. He shifted slightly, his gaze going about the clearing as if making certain there was no danger before he focused on Jhana again. "If one can believe that the Extremists and their kin are capable of holding peace that is." He added as his frown only grew. Verosh was not the best at holding back his opinions, a habit which often got him into fights with other Sisters, and even now he was keen to express his doubts. Could they truly trust the others so easily? What type of knowledge could their mystic hold that could enforce such a treaty?
"That should be easy enough." Verosh glanced about for the wheelbarrow that he had helped push when he first met Jhana. Surely that would work, right? Or what if there was a particular way that ore needed carried into a forge? Verosh wasn't certain since he never really interacted with any blacksmith prior to meeting Jhana and the thought made him flush slightly. "Should I just push it inside or is there a different way that you'd like for me to take the ore inside?"

The gossip in her brightened up as he told her the news that she had only gotten hints of throughout the week. So they were wanting peace now, after all this time. She could tell that he wasn’t enthused by the idea, his whole demeanor seemed almost bitter, and she could imagine why. The ideals that the exiled had were awful, and geared toward exclusion of alkidike like herself and Verosh. She shook her head with furrowed brows. ”No, I don’t believe they really can. I imagine their hate would only feed off of each other, I don’t see it disappearing like that in just a few short years.” She had her hands on her hips, her head thinking about all that she knew of the exile and what had happened. She was much younger then, and it was mostly a blur, but her mother was an earthling, and that kind of thing was definitely felt by Jhana throughout her life.
She gestured toward the wheelbarrow after his question. ”Whichever way would be easier for you, it’s right over there. They’re pretty heavy, so I appreciate the help. It takes me all morning when I’m by myself.” She thought back to their last encounter and the image of him shirtless crept back into her mind. Mmm, that could put a blush on her face in an instant and with intense speed she tried to think of something else. Anything to cool her face.

Verosh let out a sigh as Jhana reflected his own doubts. "Truly I don't see how they can trust such a murderous group, but I suppose only time will tell how smoothly this goes." The hybrid gave a slight shrug, his own frustrations obvious in the wrinkle between his brows that grew the more he thought about it. If they still had some Alkidikes who hated on hybrids why would the Extremists even consider peace now? Maybe some of the younger Elaria were different? Verosh had never met their cousins before but now he was more curious. "Maybe in time the younger generations will push for change while the older ones are too tired to fight it." He mused with a final shrug. Either way peace would be welcome considering how many battles had been fought in the past. Their world could use some quiet for once. If it turned out that this was all some sort of ploy to build up their numbers for a new war then Verosh would be ready to fight it. He would not allow himself to weaken and would continue to train even during a time of peace.
"I can push it in then so that we can go ahead with weapon practice." Verosh replied after staring at the wheelbarrow thoughtfully. "I can sweep the floors if it makes too much of a mess in the end." If anything he was more than willing to help. His pale gaze swept towards Jhana and he nearly found himself asking about the flush before realizing that he was staring at her for perhaps a bit too long again. The hybrid closed his mouth and looked away quickly to avoid his own flushed cheeks before going towards the ore and starting to move it inside of the forge. Already he felt heated, his fingers opening his vest more so that he could breathe easier, but soon enough the job was done and Verosh stepped away with a nod. "There." He brushed his hands against his leggings before glancing over towards Jhana. "Anything else?"

Jhana shrugged her shoulders at Verosh’s comment. It would be nice to think that the newer generation would want change, but Jhana wasn’t convinced. It was out of her hands though really, what would they be able to do other than speculate from their forest in Jauhar? ”Maybe...” She trailed off the conversation as Verosh got to work on the ore.
He definitely had an advantage over Jhana with his strength and he made little work of all the ore that she would have needed to get inside. She did what she had to do inside her workspace once the ore was delivered, but she couldn’t help stealing glances at Verosh as he worked. He definitely was good looking with an open vest, she could admit that to herself at least in her head. Maybe it was just her guilty pleasure to steal glances of him with exposed skin.
”Well, that took less time than I thought, even with your help.” She smiled to him and shifted her gaze in thought. ”Well, I don’t have anything else for the morning, so I suppose it’s time for practice?”

Verosh found a smile crossing his lips, "Others find it's best not to underestimate how helpful I can be." He teased in return to her comment, a spark of pride brightening his gaze as he glanced about at their quick work. If anything the hybrid was always proud and eager to show off what he could do to others, especially the pure-blood Alkidikes. Impressing Jhana was an even better feeling and the man was quickly processing why that was. Perhaps it was something more than simple feelings of companionship as fellow Alkidike hybrids following Aisha? Strange, but not unwelcome. He just hoped that maybe they could spend more time together like this. Whether it be for a weapon or to simply spend more time with Jhana he would be glad to offer his aid more in the future.
"I suppose it is time for practice indeed." Verosh glanced about thoughtfully. "Do you want to spar with me or would you rather watch me strike some sort of dummy instead?" He finally asked as he glanced back towards Jhana. "I don't mind doing whatever you would like for me to do..." He started, his blue gaze lingering thoughtfully on her face before he slowly added more to his floating statement. "....for the purpose of designing a weapon of course." This was his first time being inspected by a blacksmith so honestly he didn't know what he was to do. All of his weapons so far had been bought already made or gifted to him by his mother. It was strange and exhilarating to think that this would be his first weapon designed specifically for him.

Jhana thought for a moment before answering Verosh. ”Well, I suppose it would be better if I watched you. I’m absolutely terrible with a weapon, I wouldn’t be much help being on the receiving end.” She laughed it off, but it was quite painfully true. Jhana had never liked fighting, and she chose blacksmith because of her aversion to it. She wanted with all her heart to be a true Sister, but she wasn’t able to use a weapon like the rest of them.
”Besides, watching you would be a treat in itself.” She joked. It had slipped out before she realized that it might be a little too personal a thought to have been spoken out loud and her face showed a momentary flash of regret and embarrassment. Oh, how was she going to play that one off? She should have watched her mouth better.

Admittedly a faint flush did decorate his cheeks at the realization of Jhana's statement, but Verosh found himself smiling after a moment. "Understandable. He offered as he grabbed his weapon and twisted in his hands thoughtfully. "I'll gladly show you a treat then and maybe take you out for another one later if you'd be interested in some sort of excursion." He found himself adding with playful confidence, his blue gaze skimming over Jhana almost teasingly, before he turned away and ventured outside of the forge. It was good since it allowed him time to actually realize the importance and meaning of his words, the flush slowly spreading from his cheeks to his ears while he strode forward and started to warm up with some battle stances. Had he just? Yes, he had and Verosh did not regret it. It was nice having another hybrid around and he was finding himself growing more and more fond of Jhana every time they met. His father always said if you felt a connection to pursue it and so Verosh was willing to risk his pride by asking the other hybrid out to enjoy a day together. The very thought threatened to fluster him more until he focused solely on his breathing and the movement of his body as he went through his training motions, his spear darting in and out around his body like some sort of dance partner more so than any simple weapon.

Jhana felt something well up inside of her that she had never felt before at Verosh’s words. Why did she suddenly want that treat to be Verosh… naked and sweaty? She took a deep breath and tried to bury that thought way down deep inside. She was not ready for that, but his quick quip back to her own flirting definitely settled for her that her feelings for him were more than just friendly.
”I, well, I mean, yeah.” She stuttered out, trying to find the words. ”I guess I wouldn’t mind that one bit.” She answered him finally. If she were honest to herself, she would like that very much. But she was trying to play it cool. She tried to concentrate on his movements with the weapon, looking to see what he was doing and what would suit him best, but the rippling muscles as his spear slashed and stabbed through the air was making her lose her focus. ”You’re doing a great job. I’m learning a lot.” She tried to encourage him, though she wasn’t sure she was paying 100% attention to his weapon.

Delight made his gaze brighten like the morning sky. "I promise that it'll be a beautiful day." Verosh stated confidently before going through a few more final paces and walking up next to Jhana, his hand reaching up to wipe some sweat from his brow. It truly was a smoldering day and he hoped she had gotten enough of a feel from his movements. If anything he at least hoped that she had noticed him more than that, his own gaze lingering on her face before he added. "I think something like what you loaned me is nice but perhaps with a bit more support at the base and a little more length so that I can get a stronger swing while fighting. I suppose that would be best while I should leave you alone soon so that you can take care of any work that needs done." Like usual when battle and weaponry was involved the warrior was more focused on that than anything else. At least it served to calm his racing heart as he tried to piece together the fact that he had actually flirted and was going to plan an excursion for the two of them soon enough. Taking someone out was a completely different beast from going on a hunt or fighting, something that actually gave Verosh a bit of worry since he was completely new to these rising feelings as well.

Jhana felt herself staring at Verosh, watching him talk but not really listening. She shook her head and let the words he was saying filter in albeit delayed. ”Oh, yes! I can do that. It sounds about right for what I was seeing. The length will help.” She agreed with him, already forcing her brain to get back to business. He needed a weapon.
”I should be able to have it for you within two weeks.” She offered. She had a couple of other projects ahead of his technically, but he had been so helpful she would probably push his to the front of the line. Not to mention she might have been looking for ways to see him more often.
”Now, I guess I just have to keep myself busy until our… excursion.” She used the word he had used to describe it back at Verosh with emphasis. She really was excited to see what he had in mind but she would have to try to play it cool until then.
