Rydan was collecting coconuts from one of the palm trees for Thea and himself to enjoy later. She was off at the healer for something but she didn't seem stressed so he wasn't going to worry. Probably a mysterious minor thing that she wanted an opinion on. The healers around here were all very good at what they did so he had not though too much about it.

He was reaching out to poke a coconut to see if it was ready to fall. He had such long limbs that he was pretty sure this was supposed to be his real job. But he loved the forge more than fruit.

Rydan's neck got tingly, usually that meant someone was looking for him so he checked behind him and saw Thea. Grinning he slid down the tree to meet her but when he saw the look on her face he rushed over.

"Is everything okay? You look scared, did they find out why you were getting sick?" If it was something serious he wouldn't know what he would do! He couldn't lose her. No matter what he would find a way to make her better.

"We can get a different opinion too, maybe there is a better way to make you feel better that that healer didn't know, don't worry."

"What does your family knowing about me have to do with you being sick? I think your health is more important than family visits but as I am not planning on ever leaving you, we can plan to start meeting them tommorow or whenever suits you, I don't care but your health comes before all of that formality stuff. Tell me what the healer said." He begged. He hated not knowing and she was fidgeting, his Thea didn't fidget. She snuggled sure but never fidgeted. She had steely nerves as was warranted by her profession.

"Let me help you."

'Thats okay your...what? Your pregnant?" His eyes lit up from the inside. "Is that why you are freaking out? Don't you er, I mean, I would like...to ...have kids with you. But I understand if you are not ready..or think that you are not ready I mean you would make the best mom and I...I would be a Dad. I have always wanted to be a Dad. And with you, well I can't imagine any other woman being the mother of my child." he tucked a finger under her chin.

"Its going to be okay Thea." He kissed her soundly. Putting all of his joy all of his hope into it. He was still stunned but the realization was slowly starting to hit.

"Oh Thea!" He twirled her around lifting her around the waist. When he put her back down he wrapped her up in his arms.

"I never want to let you go."

"Mad? Leaving? Sorry now you are really stuck with me. I'm not that kind of guy and I am so sorry that we had not discussed this possibility beforehand so that you didn't have to go through that stress. I'm here Thea, I will always be here for you and for our child. I am so happy you have no idea. There is not another you out there in all the world and you are mine no one else may have you."

Doubly so now that she bore his child. He was just fascinated at the thought. A new being started, a mix of him and her. Oh this was just the best day. He put a gentle hand on her belly.

"You never cease to amaze me."

"Naw I wouldn't leave you for the best part of our lives. I won't leave, my family loves kids. And Dad and Mom taught me responsibility at an early age. I'm not a start something and run type of guy."

"I would be delighted to meet your family, if we go soon they will have a bit of time before you show to get used to me, well, anything to delay them wanted to disembowel me really. Because they will when they find out but they won't be mad at you if you bring me they will have a ready target."

"You know your going to get spoiled right? Pregnant women get so spoiled." He was getting rather good at making jewelery too at the forge.

"What about when they find out I want to spend the rest of my life with you, what then?" Hopefully that was what everyone wanted in the end. For Thea to live happily ever after. Which she would, with him, he was in it for forever not just the long haul.

"Best to go to them asap." He didn't want them to be doubly mad at him but he would stand beside Thea proudly.

"I can handle a thumping," he was big enought, "It is mortal wounds I would be concerned with." He laughed.

"You will get all the cuddles."

"Well I don't know about your family but there is a bit of a naming theme in mine. My father's name is Ai'iandaroch, mine is Rydandaroch. If I'm remembering right my father's name mean's Lake high in the mountain with clear waters, and mine means Lake full of smooth stones high in the mountain. My sister however has a name that does not follow that scheme."

"As for a house, there is a rather nice one being constructed right now in one of the quieter coves, but still with amenities close by. Been walking past the sign every day we could go take a look?"

"I am sure we will find something to your liking out there."

"We start at the first step Thea. Everything is going to be okay, I won't let anything happen to you or the babies or baby, however many." It was probably too early to tell how many there were.
