Sathe rolled over onto her stomach from their bed and made a face. The light hadn't even begun to filter in from the cracks in the door but she was already awake. And she felt awful.
She pushed herself up onto her hands and knees before fully standing and making her way groggily to the door. At that point it hit her so suddenly that she launched the door open with a bang and stumbled to the grass while she vomited. She groaned and tried to figure out the reason why. Was it their dinner last night? Was she getting ill? She needed to find out if Rham was coming down with the same thing.

Sathe's movements did very little to wake Rham up. Sometimes Sathe got up in the middle of the night, and he had learned early on that she always came back just a few moments later. He figured this time would be no different until the bang caused him to jolt and stumble out of bed. A short battle with the blanket and he was out the door to see where his lover had gone only to find her hunched over and expelling everything she'd eaten the night before. Slowly he went back into the wagon and and fetched her a glass full of water he'd gathered the day before and walked back out to meet her. One hand came to slowly rub her back in comfort as the other offered her the water. "You alright?" He asked, rubbing soothing circles on her upper back. While Rham normally took a bit to even sound awake, it was the first time he was seeing her like this and worry definitely took over. "Was it too warm?" Sometimes if it got too hot at night Rham felt like he could get sick.

She rubbed her hands over her face and groaned again as Rham rubbed her back. "You don't feel ill, Rham?" She asked him after she felt the worst of that round pass through her. She looked up at him from her hunched over position and tried to look at him in the dim light. He didn't look ill, he just looked concerned.
"You don't feel nauseous? Or... I don't know, sweaty, feverish, anything?" Maybe it just wasn't hitting Rham the way it was hitting her, or maybe she's catching whatever this is first, and he'll end up picking it up from her later. "It's not that it was too warm." She answered him with a shake of her head. She was used to Tale's dry heat, Sauti was a little more humid but cooler. She rubbed a hand on her aching stomach and sighed.

"No, I feel just fine," he said, thinking about what to do. "We'll crack the door just in case... Do you feel better? It's not day yet. You should try to get some more sleep." He put his free hand on her forehead now, trying to see if she was feverish or not. Now he put the cup of water in front of her when he determined that, no, she did not have a fever. "Sometimes your body just needs to expel something. If it... continues we'll take you to someone in the morning instead of opening up, alright? We'll open later." Sathe came before Rham's sales. Always.

Sathe nodded her head slowly but her mind was still going on and on about what this could actually be. She ran through all of the scenarios in her head before reaching for Rham's hand to allow him to take her back to bed. "I'll just see how I feel later and I can poke around to see if I can fix it." Her voice was still a little muffled with nausea but she could power through until morning.
"We don't need to stop our day for this, I can mend myself while we work." She tried to reassure Rham. Unless it was something very serious, Sathe should be able to heal herself if she continued to feel ill. She would just see if she could sleep it off, and if not... Well, she could put her magic to better use.

"Alright..." He was reluctant, but she was a healer, after all. He trusted her to know her own limits as far as what she could and couldn't heal. He helped her back to the door and pushed it open for her to go in first. "Open the window a bit more as well. We'll get a nice cross breeze going." Rham proceeded to leave the door open an inch or two just to get that cooler night breeze. Even if she said it wasn't from heat, he wanted to ease anything he could for her. Plus, he'd sleep more comfortably with cooler air. "Ready to try to sleep again?"

Sathe reached for the window as Rham instructed and pulled it halfway open. The breeze did feel nice, especially with the door opened a crack.
She nodded her head to Rham. "Yes, let's get some more sleep." She agreed with him before settling back into bed.
It had only been a few more hours until the sun began to shine through the room, but Sathe was already tossing and turning in bed. It was time to get up, and she had slept just fine, but now she felt the nausea start to roll back onto her. "Uhhhhh..." she groaned as she lifted herself off of the bed again. She put a hand to her stomach and with a few whispered words she cast a glow onto her belly. If it was a stomach bug, this should help.
But there wasn't much difference for her. She sighed and tiptoed out to the grass outside, trying not to wake Rham and relieved her stomach again.
If it wasn't an illness, what was it? It took only a few more moments before her eyes started to widen. Was it that time? Did she skip a cycle? She ran through the timing in her head. With the traveling they were doing she had lost track of any semblance of time, but it lined up.
She dodged back inside the door and watched Rham sleep, unsure whether to wake him right away or hold onto the news until he woke on his own. She was biting her lip trying to figure it out.

He'd settled down and back to sleep fairly easily with his lover in his arms again. Sathe had soothed Rham's mind when she mentioned she could heal herself. Why didn't he think of that before? Of course she could. But with the sun kissing the horizon and pouring into the room, Rham was still sound asleep. With the door not being flung open and Sathe not making a fuss scurrying out of the room, the Wind Trader was oblivious. However, Rham didn't sleep in. He was always up soon after the soon, so it wasn't long before he started moving around and those green eyes opened. He blinked tiredly as he looked around and frowned when Sathe wasn't next to him. Sitting up fully, he spotted her not too far off and gave a little smile. "Why're you over there? Come.. Feeling better?" He opened his arms to her, waiting for her to crawl back in bed for morning cuddles.

Rham slowly woke from his sleep and Sathe returned his smile with one of her own. She slipped into his arms and let him hold her before she rolled over to face him again. "I don't think I'll be feeling better for quite awhile..." She let her sentence drift off, wondering if Rham would take the bait or get the hint.

"No?" He frowned, not putting two and two together. He also hadn't been around a lot of pregnant women who were willing to give details of their pregnancies, so Rham was just a little slow in general when it came to that. "What? Why not? Have you caught some sort of week long stomach bug? Do we... need to find a more experienced healer?"

Sathe tried to hold back her grin. Rham was so cute but he could be a little dense. But it was alright, she hadn't exactly given him a clear or easy hint.
"Oh no, I don't think a healer will be necessary." She could feel herself building up with a laugh but she was holding it down, trying to be serious before he figured out what was going on. "At least not for about eight more months..." She hinted. This time she was sure he would get it. He had to. What could possibly take about nine months to cook up if not a baby?

Rham looked confused at first. He stared at Sathe with squinting eyes as he ran the thought through his head and then his face went completely excited and unbelieving. "Wait. No? We just.... just talked about this! Are ..are you really pregnant?" He looked down to her still flat stomach and then back up. Was she joking? She had to be joking. He looked so hopeful.

Rham finally caught on and Sathe let her grin show through. "I am!" It would definitely explain why her magic didn't work. If she wasn't ill why would it cure her? "I know it's so soon, but isn't it wonderful?"
She grabbed onto Rham's hands and held them tightly. "Rham, we're going to be a family." She practically sung it, she was so happy for them both. "Oh, I can't wait to meet them." She mused, thinking about the future that was sure to come sooner than they were ready for it.

"I can definitely wait to meet them! They gotta... they have to cook for a while!" He was flabbergasted, but so happy. The smile shifted from hopeful to completely overjoyed. Laughing, he let go of Sathe's hands and threw his arms around her, gathering her into a fierce hug. He was going to be a dad. A baby.... Gods was he terrified. But he had time to get ready. "I'm going to have to find fathers to talk to! I don't... I don't know what I need to know. There's books about being parents right? We can read them together." Maybe he was rambling, but one hand had snuck down to rest upon her belly, his brows raised. Rham's mind was racing a million thoughts per second, and he couldn't quite keep up. "Do... you want a boy or a girl?"
