While lady luck had smiled upon him for many weeks it was only a matter of time before that favour ran out. He'd been unlucky at one point, the agent had worked out how to overcome his shields following their second encounter, but he had managed to get away with only a small number of injuries. All things considered he remained blessed for now, but when it came to the odds, they were looking less and less positive for him.
...Everyone's luck ran out eventually.
He had been sure to keep the advice he'd been given in the forefront of his mind, but in due time even that wouldn't protect him. Rather than have an existential crisis over it though, he continued about his day as normal. Should the moment ever arise that things did go south though, he'd need to find a way to get out quickly and carefully.
This evening he was in the park, one that was oddly quiet. There were slumbering lumps strewn on park benches (all expected), but at this current moment in time he felt no pulses or auras that gave him cause for concern - perhaps would be one of those quieter evenings eh?

Caerwyn had brought Freyalise out for a little bit of city layout orientation--so many of those memories had been lost, and it was easier to walk at night when you had the backup of being able to power up. So they'd been walking as civilians, until Caer spotted what had to be a Senshi.
He tugged Freya off the path and into the woods lining it, frowning.
"Stay here," he said, softly. "Only power up if you think it looks like I need backup." Then, he took a breath, and let the mantle of Galaxite settle around him, and he ducked back onto the path, moving away from Freya so that she could stay hidden.
"Nice evening, isn't it?" He said, voice carefully light. Hopefully this wouldn't turn into a fight, but if it did...well, he had a secret weapon.Freya took a deep breath and nodded at Galaxite's request, and moved a little deeper into the trees--far enough that she couldn't be seen, she hoped, but close enough to still be able to see them.
She'd just. step in if it looked like a fight. Because Galaxite would definitely need her help if it came to it, if only to tilt the scales a little in their favor.

His peace and quiet was disturbed in an instant.
No sooner had he settled into a more relaxed stride than a ripple of chaos caught his attention and a voice soon followed. At the very least, they had seen fit to introduce themselves, but if they were anything like him that generally resulted in things going south fairly quickly. His decision to interrupt was often intended to distract and then remove someone from an area i.e. if they were draining something, he often saw the need to chase them off!
His movements were measured as he turned slowly to face the voice, coming face to face with Galaxite who for now, didn't seem to be entirely hostile. He'd met that type before though and that didn't mean it would stay that way. His brow raised in reply to the greeting and for a moment it seemed like he was trying to discern just how powerful the agent was.
Given there were civilians around though (regardless of who they might be), he was all too aware that on this occasion he would have to get the agent to move along.
"It is," he agreed, recalling manners which others were entitled to regardless of some of their life choices. "I'd like it to stay that way too."

Galaxite regarded the Senshi carefully. They were on the same level, which was good, and actually, this might be a good lesson for Marialite--bring her into a relatively safe fight with both of them, and let her get a chance to stretch her legs and try out her new enhanced powers as a Negaverse agent.
He tilted his head to the side and put a hand on his hip.
"Y'know, ideally, so would I, but I have a job to do, you see, and you're prooobably gonna get in the way of it?" He gestured, sweepingly,. around them. "See, I have so, so many easy targets for draining here, and like, it sucks? But the boss has demands, and I gotta meet 'em, so...."Freya narrowed her eyes. What did Galaxite think he was doing? They hadn't been out to drain, so why was he...
Oh. It hit her, quickly, that he was trying to provoke the Senshi into a fight. Well! This was going to be interesting. Freya wasn't sure she'd ever seen him lie before, or act, or anything like that, so it seemed a little bit of an odd tack to take, but...sure, okay, she'd see what exactly was going on before she intervened.

He couldn't say that the blase attitude was appreciated but it did help to reinforce his already cynical view of the Negaverse. There were very few, in fact there had only been one, who seemed to have been genuinely upset by what they had to do. When he met those like Galaxite he had every reason to suspect they didn't regret a thing and took pleasure in the fact that their parasitical beast-god-cthulu-thing caused deliberate harm and suffering to anything it got hold of.
...Did they even realise that if that source ran out that it would have no issue consuming them? Such was the way of parasites, they only existed while they managed to feed it and if they couldn't find a way to feed it then they would have to be eaten instead. It was morbid, but perhaps that was what was necessary and if that was what it took then maybe that was the path he would have to walk.
Starve the thing by denying the agents access to what they want.
"It would appear that this evening will remain as predictable as always then," he agreed and shook his head. "You will have to go through me if you want to feed your fiend today."
He felt calm at the moment, in a one on one battle he would perform well enough, but things would become a touch more sketchy if another came in to the fray. For now Freya remained unknown, undetected while she stayed in her glamoured form...

Galaxite smiled, twirling his silly little nerf bow around in his hand. "See, that's what I was worried about, and that's really unfortunate, because I really want to make my Captain happy, and to do that, I definitely have to keep up with draining." Not that Caledonite actually cared, but this Senshi didn't know that. And even without incentive from above, Galaxite was perfectly happy to gather energy and feed it to Metallia; after all, Chaos had offered him a whole new life, and he had to repay that somehow.
And then, he bounded forward, and swung his bow like a club, aiming for the Senshi's head. This would be a delicate dance, he figured; holding the fight for long enough that the Senshi would be drawn in and distracted, but not letting himself get too injured in the process, because if Freya actually had to bail him out of the fire....that sounded like a bad time all around, for him and for her.
Epine de Rose [cutting freya out because she'd just be hanging around some more, since she's not gonna intervene until the fight gets going XD]

Athalia was grateful that he spent the greater part of his spare time in the dojo watching teenagers try to hit each other. This wasn't a slight on Galaxite, it merely prepared the senshi for the 'oh boy' moment and he had just enough time to duck his head off to one side and lift his arm up to shield against the um... 'club'.
Nevertheless a weapon was a weapon and given Galaxite wasn't exactly human at this stage it still left a mark. The bow slammed solidly against his lower arm and sucking in a breath, Athalia knew that with this guy, he didn't have time to think about what he needed to do. He needed to move, he needed to move now and he needed to be fast about it.
At the very least Athalia had acknowledged Galaxite was talking out of his a**.
The agent was really going to have to work on at least sounding genuine if he wanted anyone with at least half a brain to buy in to that.
Alas, with one arm in use it was only to be expected that he use his other to answer Galaxite's 'question' and he swung it upwards towards the agent's gut. He needed to get the man off him, at least to force some distance, otherwise they were just going to end up squirming on the ground like wrestlers in a ring.
...And while hilarious to a passerby it would probably attract more attention than he wanted.

And here they were. The time for bantering was long past and the time for exchanging blows had arrived, and Galaxite was eager to get into it, because if this Senshi decided to get clever, well, he had a couple of advantages: one, he could always go for the chest, and pull a starseed to earn his victory, though he'd prefer not to do that, not when advantage number two was likely to be enough to turn the tides in his favor.
He brought his bow around for a second hit, but his eagerness to do as much damage as possible caught up with him, because he took a hefty blow to the stomach and had to stumble back. <********," he gasped. "You hit hard. Good for you," he said. "Too bad I've got a surprise up my sleeve."
He took a breath, and grinned. "Marialite, love! I could use some backup!"Freya watched them trade barbs and blows, heart pounding in her chest. She itched to power up and intervene, but Galaxite had told her to stay, and while they were technically the same rank, he'd been in the Negaverse much longer than her and she tended to defer to him. It's what Caledonite would expect her to do, she was pretty sure.
So she waited, tensely, and winced when she saw the Senshi's fist connect with Galaxite's gut. That made her want to jump in right then--and fortunately, she didn't have to wait long, because Galaxite called her name not long after.
With a grin, she called her new powers around her, and a new Lieutenant's aura lit up in the park.
"On my way!" She called, as she ducked out of the tree line and moved into the fight. The best part about being an officer, in her opinion, was that she now had a nice split up her skirt, and it meant that she could run a lot easier than in her old, long sheath dress, and also that when she got in range, she could easily shift and aim a solid high kick at the Senshi.
All that cheer practice had to be good for something, and one thing it was definitely good for was strengthening Marialite's legs. And arms, and core. Plus, it gave her a lot of really good flexibility practice.

Ah, and there it was...
The Negaverse did have one advantage over Order at this particular moment in time and that was their preparedness. They tended to work in groups, or if they were alone, had the capacity to request for aid and be answered. He supposed it was easier to provide aid when you could teleport almost anywhere but the fact still remained that they knew how to team up. He aimed to change that in the future but for now he had little choice other than to deal with the fact that he was outnumbered.
Wonderful.
He did have one more trick up his sleeve though and provided it did what it was supposed to do, he might be able to keep himself from a more significant onslaught. It was with this in mind that as Marialite came towards him he squared himself and glowered, two words echoing through parted lips.
"Herculean Shield!"
On this occasion it seemed that his source had determined that it would answer his call and it occurred much more rapidly than he had anticipated. Normally his powers had to think about it, decide if they actually wanted to do as they were told, but this evening the shield rippled across his arms and erected the shield at the size it was supposed to be. Hell, had he not been in such a precarious situation he might have expressed surprise and delight at the fact it seemed to have reached full integrity!
For now though, it would at least take Marialite's initial 'introduction', had it not worked then it was likely his nose might not have been quite so pretty.
He was tempted to goad them, tempted to point out he didn't need praise, but he knew all too well that if he got distracted now he was likely to be punished by more than just the agents. His powers were finicky and it was in his best interests not to trade conversational blows regardless of how many were thrown at him!
As it was though, with the shield up he'd bought himself some time, but he needed to come up with a game plan quickly if he even stood a chance of winning. Admittedly, he wasn't confident a victory would be possible this evening and it probably wouldn't ever be possible until he was able to guarantee his magic would always do what it should.
His eyes flitted back and forth as he looked for openings, but for now, he remained in place.Herculean Shield Sailor Scout Attack: Herculean Shield
Radius: Self (Personal Buff, 180 Radial) Duration: 25 Seconds Limitations: This shield can be hard to break for other basic stage characters, moderately breakable by 2nd stage characters and easily breakable by 3rd stage characters. This shield will fall much more quickly in a concentrated attack by numerous opponents regardless of their rank. Number of Casts: 3 Times per Battle Full Details: Athalia draws upon his source to shield himself from the next barrage of assaults. In calling out to the source, he erects two large, ethereal scarab wing carapaces to shield incoming damage.
This carapace will protect him from significant damage for the duration of the ability, ensuring he can weather significant damage before it's necessary to retreat; any allies that take cover behind him will be shielded for the duration of the assault.
The shield is no more than 7ft high and 6ft in diameter at any given time.
This ability can be countered by flanking Athalia as it's radius is a frontal 180 cone; his back remains exposed.

Marialite saw the shield go up, but it was definitely too late to redirect her kick, so she connected solidly with it. She let out a hiss and re-balanced herself, skipping backwards so that she was standing next to Galaxite. She narrowed her eyes, thoughtfully, and then it hit her--the shield didn't go all the way around.
She jerked her head. "I'll go around?" She suggested, grinning broadly. That was the advantage to playing two on one--he'd only be able to block one of them!Galaxite nodded sharply, and rather than answering Marialite out loud, moved in for a frontal assault, bringing his bow around like a club again. As her did, he watched Marialite move in from behind to deliver another kick.
"You know, they say it takes two to tango...but I think it's much more fun with three, don't you agree?"

Sigh.
This guy liked to talk didn't he? All things considered he would have been the cliche bad guy that deserved to be giggled at in other circumstances. Given he had a companion however, Athalia couldn't afford to humour him in any capacity. In fact his eyes were already flicking back towards Marialite. She'd realised his back was exposed, realised he was vulnerable from that side and he was very quickly going to be boxed in.
It didn't take a genius to realise that this was not a good spot to be in and he was going to have to make a choice between which of them he was going to take the blow from. He knew that Galaxite had his little bow, it could be used to bludgeon him, but when it came to Marialite she'd introduced herself with a kick and given no indication of what she actually wielded.
He had little choice other than to brace for now, he'd need to make the decision, but right now he needed to see exactly what Marialite intended to do.
His shield wasn't going to last much longer and somehow, he didn't think that recasting it would be the smartest idea!

Galaxite sighed, as his bow impacted the shield. "You're no fun. Not an ounce of banter. Honestly." Still, he kept pressing the attack, continuing to use his bow and put pressure--because once they broke the shield completely, they'd have this Senshi at their mercy.
Though, admittedly, at that point, Galaxite wasn't really sure what he'd do. Did he have it in him to reach into a Senshi's chest and pull his starseed? He wasn't sure.
Maybe he would find out.Marialite rolled her eyes, fondly, at Galaxite's banter. It was easier to feel relaxed about it when the two of them were in the fight together; they absolutely had this, surely.
She wasn't going to be fancy about anything, though; just brought her boot up, aimed for the small of the Senshi's back, and proceeded to kick forward, flat of her foot aimed for maximum impact.

There it was - this was the blow he'd been waiting for. Despite Galaxite's best efforts Athalia's shield had held for just long enough. It was only Marialite that he had been worried about and this had been his gamble. The second her kick landed he went limp and used the force of that to throw himself forward. It wasn't the most graceful of moves, but it served a purpose and it was in times like these that he was grateful for his hobbies.
The beauty of battling against those with considerable strength was that their assaults could reliably move the other, and she had given him enough momentum to shoot forward and roll underneath Galaxite's blows. Not that several of those hadn't hit on the way down, rest assured that bow had smacked against his shoulders and arms a number of times.
...But at least he'd been able to get away from both of them.
What was clear though is that the collective blows had hurt and his back in particular was smarting. It was enough of a tweak that for now he knew all too well that besting the pair of them would be neither possible or practical. Unless he could find a way to move with his shield up, or block from both sides, he was at a significant disadvantage.
For the first time in his career he had no other choice than to run. It wasn't the decision he was happiest with, but if he continued in this current state he would end up dead. Per Cybele's advice, sometimes it was in someone's best interests to run and come back to fight another day when they had figured out how to address their weakness.
His brow creased as he regarded both agents, and then without a word, he leapt up on to the roof of the closest building and swept out of view. Well, he would have swept in a more graceful fashion, but given his back and shoulders were in considerable discomfort at the moment there was certainly a bit of a limp in his gait.
He'd see them again in time but on this evening the Negaverse had won...

Galaxite moved to let the Senshi roll through, but made sure to get in some hits on the way out. This was...perfect. A victory, achieved with a little bit of teamwork, and hopefully something that would get Marialite's confidence up. Her knew their target couldn't see, but Galaxite gave a jaunty little wave as he ducked out of sight.
Beautiful.Marialite surged forward, when the Senshi started to run. This was it, they could hunt him--track him--end him, bring down one of the enemy and bring his starseed back to Caledonite! "Galaxite, let's--" she starte,d and then she frowned. He wasn't moving, and in fact he'd put a hand out to stop her from going forward. "What?""No," Galaxite shook his head. "Let him go. We won, and he'll be remembering this for a while." He wound his arm with hers. "Let's go home, and we can tell Caledonite about our victory. I'd bet he'll be thrilled."
He guided her away, grinning proudly the entire time, even as she huffed and sighed. This had been a good night.
