"Ah, those poor dears." Anywhere looks back along the path you'd traveled, as if expecting to see something. Or someone.
"I do hope Nowhere hasn't lead them on some extravagant tour of the woods." Anywhere sighs dramatically and glances fondly down at you from the branch she is perched on. It is evident in her gaze that you have chosen wisely. She takes wing once more, sweeping low enough that you feel the brush of her wings.
"Come along, darlings. The stream you seek is just ahead."

"Ah well - I'm sure they'll learn a valuable lesson. Learning the territory is good for any hunter."Sure. Keep telling yourself that Eve. If it makes you feel better about going the wrong way first. she chuckled at her own inner monologue, albeit with some sense of irony.
"Thank you, Anywhere. It was a joy to meet you and Nowhere, and I hope our paths cross again. I can see the cave from here, and the funny thing is, I know the path there from here well. I have walked along this stream many times in my youth. It was good to learn that there were friends so near. Farewell,"
With that, Eve turned and her paws took her at a lope towards the caves she was all too familiar with. Along her trek there, she paused to sip from the stream, ears swiveling to listen to her surroundings and her eyes scanning for anything unusual. Had she truly lived blindly amidst magic?
xxxxxxHawkstep found herself following her guide's gaze often, wondering what antics the owl's mate had gotten her own into. She gets in enough trouble on her own, she doesn't need help from a birdbrained owl, she inwardly sighed. However, Ocean Relic was her own adult and let Hawkstep be the last one to imply she couldn't handle herself in life. She swept away the concern and continued walking under Anywhere's guidance. "Anywhere, if your mate loses mine you will owe me a new one," she joked with the bird as she walked.
xxxxxxHawkstep nodded as Anywhere bobbed ahead, promising that the stream was nearing. However, after a few moments, something caught her eye. She looked up, ensuring she still had an eye on the owl as she started digging around, rooting up rocks and mushrooms as she tried to find the source of the sparkle but soon she found herself slowing' a sharp pain was forming in her head after seeing the sparkle. She shook her head, hoping to regain her composure.

xxxxxxOcean Relic found herself much more at ease following Anywhere than she had been following Nowhere, at least with Anywhere she was being led to water! She kept up a fine pace and began to wonder how far ahead Hawkstep had gotten from her, though she soon found her answer, seeing a downtrodden Hawk sat on the grass with her paws over her snout and her eyes closed. Ocean Relic gave her a kiss and wished her luck on her continued half of their journey. She waited a moment for Hawk to stand, checking on her, before continuing to follow Anywhere.
xxxxxx"Anywhere! Do you think we'll be there soon?" she called out to the bird flying ahead of her. Though as soon as the words left her mouth she found herself stopping abruptly; dirt flying up from her feet. A Shiny Thing. She needed to find out what it was, obviously it could be treasure She thundered off the trail to find what had caught her eye but found herself rewarded with nothing but a pain in her head and... some fish bones. Not as exciting as Ocean had hoped but she would see.

Einarr hadn't felt entirely certain of himself, though he was certain that Anywhere, at least, knew where she was going. He certainly enjoyed her company much more than he did her mate. Her kind mannerisms reminded him of Silke at home. Of course, this owl was no where nearly as pretty nor as flirty as his mate was, but that was just as well. Imagine, he thought with a soft laugh, being attracted to an owl!
He followed her along, continuing along his way until a flash of shimmering movement caught his eye. "Anywhere, is that it?" He asked and darted away, excitement causing him to surge forward without thought. As it darted one way and then the next he guessed that it might be a bird he was chasing. Snapping his jaws near it as he approached, he felt his jaws snapping against one another and sighed in irritation. He'd missed and he'd gotten nothing but a headache for his troubles. Yet something shimmered at his paws and he peered down. What in the world...?
"Anywhere, have you ever seen anything like this?" He asked the owl, picking up the unusual skeleton in his mouth and turning his head. Only... wait, where was his guide? He hadn't gone that far from her, surely? With a whine of dismay, he started to pick his way back towards the tree he'd seen her last perched in. Where had she gone? In fact.. where had he gone?! Skuld followed diligently, gleeful that it seemed like she had chosen the correct path. It was good to see that her intuition had proven her right! Of course, that didn’t mean that the hunt was done. No, it had only just begun.
The wolf dog eyed the stream as they walked by it, keeping an eye out for anything interesting just on the off chance she happening to find something. She had a feeling it would take more than this to track down her prey, but a little bit of extra flair couldn’t hurt.
And then that’s when she spotted it - something in the water. Padding closer, she took a tentative sniff before swiping it out of the stream. She didn’t know what it was yet, but she also didn’t want to get left behind. It wouldn’t do to fall to far from her guide, after all. She didn’t want to get lost.

In hindsight, she perhaps should have taken the time to check what she was grabbing. The mouthful of mostly water and mud wasn’t exactly pleasant and she sputtered much of it out as she trotted after the owl. Once she was close enough to be happy with the small distance, she paused to drop her mystery thing down - and was surprised to see multiple somethings among the mud.
Head tilting in intrigue, Skuld nosed the glittering scales out of the muck and then, grabbing as many as she could, hurried to follow once more.
As she walked, she started to gain more of a skip in her step. These scales would likely prove to Kale that she had been on the right track! At the end of all of this, at least she would be able to say she’d found something.
But she wasn’t going to stop there. No, she was determined to find the hunt now.

Silence at last. Jaroslav found peace in the stillness of surrounding trees. At most a breeze rustling the leaves was all he had heard for quite a few paces. "Is that what I think it is?" In all of his bliss he had forgotten the task at hand, finding the stream and searching for the prized thing the Monster Hunter was after.
"Anywhere, you certainly did the trick." He praised the owl that had already disappeared. This was part of his blissful moment, the chattering of that owl repeating how right she always was, was about to drive him mad. "I guess she was right though." He spoke out loud, and with a slight grin.
Toddling along he finally swung into the direction of the sounds. It wasn't long before the babbling became a trickling and then the stream came into view. The sun shone brighter here, overpowering what little shade was left which made the stream sparkle. The sparkling light danced on its surface and for a moment he wondered just how he would find anything else that sparkled in such pristine waters.

I won’t be using an action point for this one! Sunflower will instead just head straight to the next area.
Sunflower charged after the owl, single-mindedly tracking her while trying to avoid obstacles. She noted vaguely that the stream seemed to pass beside her as she ran, and was content that so far, it seemed like Anywhere was indeed taking her to her prize. Had she known that she had unwittingly chosen the correct owl to follow as well, she probably would have been smug, but of course, she had no way of knowing that.
With her mind as focused as it was, she wasn’t paying attention to the water beside her and while she vaguely noted a few fellow hunters stop beside it, she ignored whatever had caught their attention. They would just lag behind now anyway.
Leaping over a fallen log, Sunflower continued after Anywhere, only to find that the owl seemed to be pulling away. She slowed slightly, realizing that Anywhere had said that she would take her to the stream, but she’d said nothing about the monster in question....
Well, there was nothing else for it than to follow the stream. So with that in mind, Sunflower continued down her chosen path.

The stream was refreshing, both in sight and smell. Against the green hues of the surrounding grasses and forests, the crystal blue waters were bright. He appaorached the water without hesitation and dipped his nose to it. Slowly he inhaled its smell, audibly sighing for the second time during this adventure. Water always smelled so fresh and inviting.
With his snout so close to the water he wasn't shocked that he found something almost immediately. "Is that a crystal?" He wondered out loud. To which a cricket responded (surely not to him) somewhere off in the distance. He dipped his nose into the water, enjoying the bubbles he created, before retrieving the crystal and laying it on the ground. "How peculiar." He mumbled to himself, making a mental note of the item, but otherwise he wasn't all that interested.
Where were the monsters?
The experience here left more questions than anything and it began to unearth something of a vision. He closed his eyes tightly, wishing the experience away. Flashes hit him, out of focus, and as soon as the experience began it ended. Jaro was left with a severe headache and his grin faded to a grimace. The adventure would be that much more unpleasant for him now.

This area was maddening. Just as Einarr was certain he saw the painted feathers of Anywhere and made a mad dash towards her, he slipped on some rocks near the stream and was sent ears over tail. Sharp fish bones poked into his muzzle and he looked down. This was the second skeleton he'd found, but he was still nowhere close to finding anywhere. He lay down and let out a low moan. This wasn't the venture he had thought up for himself at all! On the one paw, fish were widely regarded as useful back in the Fallguard, but they were so commonplace. If he'd gone on a venture only to come back with fish bones, why, he'd be the laughing stock of the whole pack!
Don't give up now, Einarr. He thought as he gathered the glimmering bones up in his mouth again. You aren't completely lost... not utterly anyway. Keep looking. Anywhere is bound to be around here somewhere. (WC: 162 I would like to an action point to roll again!)

While he didn't find Anywhere, well, anywhere! Einarr was much relieved to at last find the stream that had been mentioned to him. Taking a few moments to set down his fish skeletons, he took some time to unwind. He had found it. He was fine. He could do this. Stretching and enjoying the coolness of the water on his paws, he gathered up the skeletons again. He didn't need to sniff around a stream-he'd seen plenty of them before. What would make this one so different? No, it was best that he went on his way. Setting off to follow the trickling stream and feeling much relieved at having finally found it at all, his confidence began to renew itself.
Maybe he had a chance of making this a worthwhile venture after all! Thank goodness! Determined to see the quest out as a success, with more than mere fish bones to come home with, he set to his hopes high once more. Oh, to see Silke's face when he brought her back something delightful! Oh, how pleased she would be... and how proud! That at the very least was something worth going on this quest for: to please his lovely lady. (WC: 202 I used an action point to roll again! Onward at last!)

Destiny and glory had a great deal many forms. Sometimes they came in the form of purple eyes. Other times, they came in the form of sparkly birds. At least, Meadowsweet suspected this to be the case. She heard the words of the lady owl, comforting and sweet, but when she spotted a sparkling creature, a bird by the looks of its frantic moving around, she darted towards it.
With snapping jaws and quick paws, she leaped forward, nearly upon it. She was certain she was gaining on it! Entirely caught up in the chase, it wasn't until she became thoroughly out of breath that she realized she didn't know where at all she was. Turning around a full circle, she opened her mouth to call for the others who had been with her, to the owl perhaps, but-drat.
"I didn't get her name." She realized testily. "Well, no use in standing around, i'd better get go-OW!" Pulling her paw away as though she'd been bit, she looked at it to see a tiny bone sticking out of it like a thorn. Looking down, she noticed there were bones that seemed to glitter curiously near her.
"Are you my hidden destiny?" She whispered to them, gathering the bones that she could up. She tucked them into her longer bits of fur and under her necklace. "If so, I implore you not to fall out. I would hate to lose you, even if you are sharp and pokey." Resisting the urge to shake what felt like burrs in her fur, out, she started off again. Time to figure out what she was looking for. A stream? Yes, that must be it. A stream of fate! (WC: 284 I will be using an action point to roll again!)

At last, her stream of destiny! With the bones in her fur still poking her along, Meadowsweet only stopped momentarily to readjust the little skewers in her fur. She wondered if she would ever be able to get them out again.
"Surely my spirit animal, Dawn, will be able to pick them out with his beak. Or his talons." She thought with a shudder. One of the bones was shook out of her fur as she said this and with a sigh, she stuck it back in. "This quest had better be worth it." She said. "I already have a spirit animal, so I can't imagine what I may get out of this one. Though I'm sure if it's a spirit quest of another sort, I shall certainly come home a hero!" She decided. Her energy restored, she set off again. What was she looking for again? Well, whatever it was, it was probably down this stream of destinyyyy! (WC: 159 I used an action point to roll again! Onward we go, without stream investigation.)
