It wouldn’t be a star festival without a meteor shower! Right on time, a beautiful array of shooting stars graces the night sky. Most meteor fragments appear to be little white or yellow lights streaming across the sky, but if you watch closely enough you may find that some of them seem to be pink, blue, and even purple in color. The scientists have reported that it’s just different components burning up as they enter the atmosphere, but there’s something undeniably magical about it.

“Interesting…” Nolan muttered to himself as he watched the meteor shower from his apartment balcony. He wasn’t usually interested in astronomy stuff or what happened in the sky, but this was his first time seeing a meteor shower, where he wasn’t stuck inside somewhere, and he had at least wanted to check it out. Especially since he had missed that eclipse that one year.

He had to admit it was more intriguing than he thought it would have been. Though it did make him think about everything that was going on, more in terms of the Negaverse and this whole magical war. Of course he had wanted it for all of the power that he had received from it. That was the main reason. Though he had to admit that the want of power was because he felt so powerless. It’s not that he was bullied or anything. He had enjoyed going to Romano’s and didn’t feel anything against his family. But he was only one person and he had no authority over anyone else.

And that meant that no one would really listen to him. And while he didn’t crave being a “ruler”. But without being one, people didn’t listen to you, and when they didn’t do that, they made stupid and selfish and mean decisions that affected others in horrible ways. Climate change was one of them. They could easily come up with ways to lessen the effects, to do something about it.

But then he would see people throwing garbage outside of their windows as he walked on the sidewalk and he felt a rage inside of him. If people would only do the right thing…

He could feel himself frowning. He un-scrunched his face and sighed, taking another sip of the “sparkling” wine that had been given to him. He would have had actual wine, but he wasn’t old enough yet and as much as he wanted to “screw the rules” on that, he knew he would have been kicked out of his apartment.

The meteor shower continued, oblivious of his thought, showering the sky in different colors, and he wondered if it was even worth it to go out there and see all of the Celestial bodies. He had heard that the Order Senshi had “Homeworlds” and actually came from each of those objects, but it was hard to believe. Though it was also hard to believe that they were alone in the Universe as well. It was so big and continually expanding, how could they be the only life literally anywhere?

“Best not to think about.” He said, trying to convince himself that he really shouldn’t be thinking about it. He was with the Negaverse, they had their own realm, which was probably a bit like a “Homeworld” but only the Queen was in control of it. Still, he didn’t mind. He just wished that there was more order.

When he became a General that’s what he would set out to do. Finally start getting some order in what the Agents did rather than each of them flouncing around trying to drain energy or whatever. It was a lofty goal, but it was better than nothing.

He turned back to watching the meteor shower, this time feeling a bit more confident in the future.
