Quote:
The City has been lit up for the Star Festival with banners and twinkling decorations strewn off the windowsills of shop fronts and windows. The gardeners at one particular park have put their heart and soul into creating a fairy's paradise: Fairy lights have been carefully dangled from trees to make strings of stars, little beaded jewels have been hidden among the hedges, and even the old cobwebs have been sprayed with just a touch of glitter. The park is open to everyone and the citizens of Destiny City have been invited to respectfully explore the hidden wonders that have been placed throughout. The park is magical enough on its own but there have also been reports of a strange, ethereal and shimmering stranger in the park. The glimmer of a beautiful costumed figure fluttering through the park has been passed around as rumor, and no matter what anyone claims to see, no one can take a picture of it. As if simply seeing some magical figure isn’t mysterious enough, there are also reports of mischief and small pranks being played at the same time this figure seems to appear.

The charm came soaring through the air and knocked against her head before it fell into her palms. She hadn't been trying to catch anything and it was pure convenience that it had landed where it did, but when she looked down she caught sight of the violet charm and hazarded a wry smile. She hadn't collected that one and she knew it for a fact, but a glance back over her shoulder reveale that she had company on her evening jaunt. She had to give him credit, he did seem to be particularly responsive when company was requested even if he wasn't the most riveting person to be around on many occasions.

Whether Athalia cared to admit it or not, his jokes sucked and he'd never be a stand-up comedian. Granted, she wasn't even entirely sure that was something he'd have wanted to pursue but he could make for very dry company. Nevertheless every now and then she happened to see just a sparkle of something in there and now was one of those moments. He might not have any interest in these things, he might even hate hoarding, but he had seen it and brought it for her. This would complete her collection and she could do nothing more than offer a warm smile of gratitude.

"And here I thought you didn't encourage bad habits," she teased as she slipped it into her space pocket for safe keeping.

She'd taken to sitting on a particularly thick tree branch, largely out of sight and out of mind from passing civilians. Nevertheless with her energy signal as it was she would be found by anyone with a capacity to detect it and sure enough, she had been. Sure she might have called for some help, it was good to have company nowadays, but that didn't mean she had told him exactly where she was. At least on this occasion it wasn't a hostile encounter and she could continue to admire the wonderland that lay before her.

Athalia had said nothing as he leapt up into the tree himself and settled comfortably into a higher branch. Adorea had the right idea on maintaining a solid vantage point while attracting minimal attention, though he was beginning to feel like this was becoming a common haunt for him lately. Yep, he'd been in this park more than once in recent weeks and it normally ended up being for the same thing every time.

"And we're here because...?" He didn't seem particularly annoyed at the fact he was here, more curious.

"Fairies," Adorea replied with a simple wave of her hand. Her gaze remained trained on the park and everything that lay beyond it. Rumour had it there were fairies around here and she hadn't been lucky enough to see one yet. She was determined though, she might not have seen one yet but the sightings were common so she just had to be patient, right? This was why she now sat perched in this very spot, convenient watch post it might have been but she hadn't done it to keep an eye out for bad guys this time... Oh no, this time she wanted to see something magical.

"And we need me because...?"

"Might not be a fairy?" Adorea finally looked up towards the senshi and sighed. He should have realised that, it was obvious to her so why couldn't it be obvious to him? She hadn't quite twigged on to the fact that she wasn't the best at planning and generally when it came to preparing for the worst and having a plan for when things went south, she didn't ever seem to have them. All things considered, her decision to call for company was actually an anomaly!

"It doesn't do anything, if that's what you're trying to find out," Athalia had seen the thing she was looking for more than once now and each time it hadn't reacted or done anything differently. He was fairly confident that this evening would be no exception. He didn't aim to shatter dreams but he could at least manage some of the expectations.

"You've seen it?" she demanded. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't think it was relevant," He admitted. He gave a wave of his own hand and then nodded towards a small gleam of light within the trees. He knew how it started and that was the tell tale sign that it was on its way. "Watch, it will just float passed us and head towards the hedge maze," he pointed out.

Adorea's gaze, unsurprisingly, shot right back towards the light within the trees. It was slow and quite far away at first, but slowly but surely it began to move towards them. The ethereal figure swept through the grass, scarcely disturbing anything that it touched. Its path set, it seemed to be doing exactly what her companion had indicated. It didn't seem to be particularly concerned by anything that might be around it either, near or far, it seemed oblivious. Truth be told it was a tiny bit annoying that Athalia was right about these things, it took away some of the wonder from it all, but as it did disappear into the depths of the hedgerow she did have to wonder if maybe there was something baout the maze that was important.

"That's it?" She sighed.

"Every evening," he confirmed from above her and shook his head. "Although..." He sighed softly, the little dreamer in her was practically radiating with total disappointment. He wasn't one to shatter dreams if it could be avoided and she had clearly been expecting more. "If you can get close to it it doesn't seem to be alone," he shrugged. "Smaller invisible fairies maybe, they seem to like the fountain in -"

Before he could finish his sentence Adorea was off like a shot.

He just about caught a glimpse of the senshi as she bounded off towards the hedgerows, leapt over them into the maze and disappeared from view. Caution had clearly been thrown to the wind in those moments but Adorea never did things by half measure and if there was any possibility of finding out a little more then she was going to do it. Alas, he'd wait here for her, if she found that fountain then that would be a personal thing for the younger senshi to experience.

She'd be back eventually...
