Strange things appear in Destiny City all the time, so nothing seems out of the ordinary about what might look like discarded trash, broken glass, or pieces of broken jewelry. If anyone were to lean in for a closer inspection, they might find a beautiful, gemstone like object that is shaped a bit like a star. They come in an array of colors and almost seem to have some sort of light sparkling in them.

The more that Nolan thought about going to DCU the more he wondered if it was right for him. Or at least if he was getting anywhere with it. Sure, he had only been there for a year, but he hadn't been able to go into any of the culinary art classes that he had wanted to attend. If there was one thing that annoyed him when it came to DCU, it was the other requirements that one had to fill out first. Sure, he had gotten into some theory classes but nothing having to do with actual cooking yet.

His job as a waiter wasn't going much better either. If possible he would have just stayed at Romano's and gone to school from high school through college through their program. They had both cooking classes AND training! Now he was stuck getting by on student loans and his job at a waiter at one of the swankier restaurants in the city thanks to some of his Negaverse connections. Sure, he could have been worse off, but he was going to have to take one of the required classes for his major the coming semester if he were going to graduate on time at all.

He kicked a can in anger that was sitting in the middle of the sidewalk towards a trashcan and only barely missed it. He took a moment to glare at it before picking it up and throwing it in the trash properly. Even if he were a part of the Negaverse, that didn't mean he wanted to see everything covered in trash. If he had seen whomever had thrown the can on the ground, he would have powered up and drained the energy just for littering.

People were truly disgusting and he would be happy when they could finally cleanse the world of all of those people.

As he was about to continue on his walk back to his apartment, he noticed something shining near a bush from the park that he was walking along the outside of.

He moved over and crouched down, squinting to see if he could find whatever it had been, and after a moment of searching and wondering if this was even worth the effort, he spotted some sort of gem. It didn't look natural from what he could tell. Still, it might be worth something. He would just have to figure out what it was first.

He took whatever it was and put it into his pocket, almost immediately forgetting about it afterwards. He would remember when he found his jacket ripped a bit after having gone through the laundry. At least it wouldn't be one of his favorites.

And after taking whatever it was he continued on, contemplating if he had enough time to make dinner tonight. Probably not, and it would probably be used anyway. Along with someone burning something and refusing to open the windows causing the fire alarm to go off and having to evacuate the building. Again. He really needed to see if there were any of his other fellow Agents attending the university, otherwise he might just have to start draining his fellow classmates just to keep from going crazy from their antics! Seriously did some of them still think they were in kindergarten?! Hopefully he could just make it to his apartment and sleep, hoping that they wouldn't be setting fireworks off in the parking lot. Again.
