Meadowlyn liked to go out whenever she wasn’t on babysitting duty. She didn’t know where her sister was so she’d headed out by herself to enjoy the day. The festival had just ended and it felt like the village had quieted down to almost a ghost town. It was too quiet if anyone asked her. It made her travel bug all the worst. She had to constantly remind herself that she simply was gathering her things before she took off. She wasn’t really of age yet, but she was looking forward to each of her birthdays until the one she’d finally be able to leave. Where would she go first? What did she want to see? Meadowlyn daydreamed about the world and completely did not see the individual she’d bumped into.
“I am so sorry!”

 Liio was taking a little trip around Sauti, excited to see the sights that he and his sister rushed through making it toward their mother's side of the world. It seemed they both had gotten her adventuring spirit, him and Elna, because they too up and left their father to his own means while their mother left too.
He'd have to go back to Tale soon now that he was a little older and more sure of himself. But for now, he took in the hills and the planes and the farming nature of the quiet Sauti landscape.
He had found himself in a quiet town near the south of Sauti, and he planned to rest for a few days before heading back north to the cold hills of Zena. As he determined where he needed to go to get supplies, he didn't realize until it was too late that he was bumped in to and he stepped back a moment.
"No problem..." he quickly supplied, his bright green eyes looking over the girl he ran in to, examining her from head to toe before making way back to meet her gaze, "Though I'm a bit insulted...I thought I was hard to miss..." He teased with a grin.

The hybrid blushed a little bit. “I guess us hybrids are a bit harder to miss,” she hadn’t met a lot of hybrids in her lifetime, but she always liked meeting new ones.
“You’re not really from around here are you?” She teased back, his skin and hair gave him away as an iceling but his eyes pointed to leaf. Though with the shade of his crystals he could have passed off with a dash of wind. She wasn’t too sure though, she hadn’t met a lot of leaf Earthlings so she didn’t know the full range of their crystal colors.

His teasing grin turned friendly at her comment, nodding, "Oh yes, no matter where I go, between Tale and Zena, they know what my other half is."
He shrugged at that, not seeing any issue and actually quite proud of his looks. He thought the green looked nice on the blue, much more striking than the yellow cold glares of his fellow Zenans.
"...and guilty" His arms came up in a shrug, "Just a weary traveler passing through, enjoying the peace and quiet of the Sauti expanse. Name's Liio, what's yours?"
His eyes couldn't be drawn away from her blue ones, on a sea of black, but he did notice her skin was much darker than the locals, and her hair was such an interesting shade of purple.

“Yea, I know the feeling,” Meadow said and rolled her eyes. Her hair stood out more than enough against the usual wind hair color found in Sauti. Even her eyes gave her away, there was no hiding the black pool around her blue eyes.
“Meadowlyn! It’s nice to meet you Liio.” She gave him a smile, she really liked his name!
“So you’re travelling?” She said excitedly, she always loved hearing from travellers. “Where are you from? Where have you seen?” She gave a soft sigh at the end, he seemed to be about her age and he was travelling! She was just a little jealous.

Now that Liio looked at her, he felt like she really didn't fit in at all...outside of her eyes and crystals. She must have struggled a lot in the contryside town where everyone seemed all of the same. Blonde, blue, and normal.
"Nice to meet you as well." He replied with a nod and a salute before laughing at her questions. She must be countryside.
"Yeah, I've traveled my whole life. My parents are a bit...free spirited, so me and my sister have been up and down the north side of Tendaji. I'm from Tale...but also Zena. It depends on the season..."
Taking a breath, he narrowed his eyes and looked away in thought, "Mostly have seen a lot of wildlife...nothing too crazy. I'm hoping to some day get out to Kahikina...would be cool to see those fish folk...but right now I'm sticking near my family."
Running a hand through his head, he shrugged, before asking, "You been anywhere yourself?"

Oh my gosh! It took everything for Meadowlyn not to see in envy. He was so lucky!
“That sounds so cool! I haven’t been outside of Sauti, we’re kind of helping my parents raise the twins. But I want to leave as soon as I’m a bit older and then well, they’ll be a bit older and they can start helping around the farm. They won’t need babysitters anymore.”
“Kahikina is on my list too! But I also want to visit Yael, because well...” She motioned up and down towards herself. “But we’ll see, I want to visit all of the places! It sounds so nice, you’re very lucky. I wish my parents were a bit more like yours.”

"Twins?" He whistled, "My family is pretty small, so I can't imagine...but I'm sure that doesn't let you travel too much. When we were younger, we didn't go as far as we do now...but yeah, getting out is pretty great...the world is pretty great."
He quieted down as she spoke of where she wanted to go, and gestured to herself, "Half Yaeli? Makes sense."
"My parents are...they are nice when you want freedom...but not much for anything else." He paused, before laughing and quickly changing the subject, "Do you know if there are any good supply stores around here? I'm running low for my return trip..."

“Yea I have a pretty big family. I have an older sister and then the twins are younger. Thankfully the twins turned them off having any more kids!” Thankfully! She couldn’t even imagine having to stay out of duty to help with other siblings if her parents had decided to have more.
“Yes of course! Let me show you.” Meadowlyn clapped her hands together, excited that she’d still be able to talk to him about his travels and such. “Are you looking for anything specific? We have a lot of fresh things since most of the area is countryside and there are a lot of farmers. Also are you traveling by yourself?”

"It'll take a bit of time for me to get back home, so anything that is light and wont spoil. Unfortunately I wasn't able to sell my snow jacket, so I'm light on space. I guess I just need enough to get back to the next settlement and restock..."
He sighed, "Thankfully the only major risk I have in Sauti is getting lost in the hills...but at least I wont freeze..." He joked darkly, "So a general store to start?

“Oh I know exactly where to take you!” There was a store that had a lot of dried goods that kept for a while, he’d be able to travel a good while with that kind of stuff. Meadowlyn headed towards the store.
“No chances fo freezing,” she laughed a little bit shaking her head. “If you follow the trails you’ll be fine. Where are you headed next?” She wished she could go with him, would that be weird? She didn’t want to travel alone, though Greicee did say she was going to come along too.
“Are you going to be coming back in town or was this a one time kind of thing?” Perhaps next time if the fates would have it they would meet again while she was still around and then she’d travel to her heats content.

He followed her jovially, keeping in step and laughing in response, "I've got enough sense and a little bit of hunting experience from my mother...so I'm not too worried down here. It's so flat it's easy to see when something is heading my way."
He took the chance to look her over again, having not really seen a Yaeli up close and taking the opportunity to guess the Yaeli traits while she wasn't looking.
"I'm heading back north to catch my sister...than I'm not sure...maybe back to through Sauti to Tale. We'll probably keep more north to the border unless she wants to see the sights..."

“I heard that tale was pretty dangerous though,” Something about some beast that could catch people off guard easily and mauled them? “Hunting is nice though, sometimes we trade with one of the hunters when they come the village to sell some of their meats.” It was a rare occurrence, but it was always interesting to see what they brought back with them.
“Well, if you’re back in Sauti you should stop by again.” Because Meadowlyn definitely wanted more tales. “Ah we’re here.” The hybrid didn’t skip a beat, she entered the store and held the door for Liio.
“Hello Marius,” she gave the man behind the counter a small wave which was returned. “Just here showing a friend the store for his travels. Do you have anything good?”
“I’ve got some dry salted fish if you’re interested?” The large wind man said as he wiped his hands. He eyed the boy who’d followed Meadowlyn in and briefly wondered where she’d found him.

"Only for those not familiar with the area...but that's the same with Zena...easy to get lost."
Liio was about to respond to her offer to come visit again when he was distracted with the store. He followed behind her and nodded to the man in charge of the place.
"That sounds good. I need it packaged for traveling...enough to last me to Rayf." He moved forward to talk shop, reaching for his bag so he could make the trade, "I've got coin if you'd like...or...some nice quality Kinfa quills from Tale." He was getting low on those, having traded most on his way down. He'd have to get some more the next time he went that way.

The man whistled, startled at the Kinfa quills. “I’ll trade you for some of those quills, need anything else? I’ve got plenty of dry goods, nuts, fruits…”
Meanwhile, Meadow was walking around the small store with her hands behind her back content to simply look around at the different items that the merchant had for sale. Perhaps later on she’d return if anything piqued her interest. From time to time, she glanced at Liio and the merchant, wondering why the quills seemed so precious. Some fruit soon caught her attention though and she moved towards them to examine them. They were small now, the size of a coin and bright orange, she knew they were a bit tart and sweet in this state.
