It wouldn’t be a star festival without a meteor shower! Right on time, a beautiful array of shooting stars graces the night sky. Most meteor fragments appear to be little white or yellow lights streaming across the sky, but if you watch closely enough you may find that some of them seem to be pink, blue, and even purple in color. The scientists have reported that it’s just different components burning up as they enter the atmosphere, but there’s something undeniably magical about it.
After walking around the street Ariel and Raphael were sitting on a bench, waiting to see the rumoured meteor shower. They were information everywhere that tonight would be the perfect one to see the stars falling. As it was the star festival it was just perfect.
Lots of people were like them sitting around waiting for the celestial show to start.
It was a warm evening which was good, as they could enjoy it without worrying about catching a cold.
As the night start to fall, the surrounding felt a little strange. The city had decide to turn of the public lights so everyone would be able to enjoy the shooting stars in the best condition.
Then it was starting, at first one shooting star crossed the sky, then an other and an other. Of course everyone knew that it was not real stars falling but stones or other things from space burning when entering the Earth atmosphère. But honestly who cared about the scientific explanation when you could see now lots of little shining stars crossing the dark sky.
Mainly all meteor fragment falling were making white or yellowish lights when crossing the sky, but as Ariel was watching intensely she found her thinking that some where pink or blue and even somewhat purple. She said it to Raphael who was more a space maniac than her and well his reply was not as romantic as she would have hope. Something about different components burning in the atmosphere.
She kicked him on the arm saying that he could find a more romantic way to say it and laughed. He said sorry and laughed too, reading the mood was not his thing tonight. But the sky was as romantic as you could wish, even for a single person, Ariel thought.
Hand in hand they continue to watch the stars during almost an hour, listening at the same time to the nature sound, the night owls singing and some other nocturnal animals having their life. Sometimes you could here some voice from the city, saying something about star charms that you could received to remember this night.
She would love one too. So when they space show ended they slowly moved back in town with all the other people watching.
Some went back home, some took a little more time to have a late night snack. And some like her heard about the star shaped charms so they were looking for it. There were seven in all apparently. It was a cute little charm with four joinded stars. She decided to take the green one to start. Yes to start because she would of course tried to collect all!
Then she put the little charm in her pocket and they went back home. When she arrived in the room she took out her jewelry box and put it inside preciously. She didn't wanted to loose it. When she managed to get all the seven she will think about a nice display to put it in.
