Strange things appear in Destiny City all the time, so nothing seems out of the ordinary about what might look like discarded trash, broken glass, or pieces of broken jewelry. If anyone were to lean in for a closer inspection, they might find a beautiful, gemstone like object that is shaped a bit like a star. They come in an array of colors and almost seem to have some sort of light sparkling in them.
Blair took a long stretch as she went outside after practice. Now that it was summer, she didn’t have to try and go home in large puffy jackets covered from head to toe. Even if she liked the Fall season better, she didn’t mind summer. At least she was able to shower before going out so she wasn’t so sweaty and stinky, though by the time she got back to her apartment she probably would be.
Ah well, it was nice that she could enjoy the walk at least. Much better than trying to user her mirror-jumping powers to get back instead. Though she had to admit, the fact that it was teleportation almost made her wonder if she would ever need a car again. Of course, she would, but honestly, if only scientists could understand this magic, then maybe the world wouldn’t be in the state it was.
Or it would be worse. She was sure there were ways to abuse it, there always would be. But that’s why she was working with the Dark Mirror. She had been told that their goal was to re-create Earth, as much as they could. She really wondered if they could do it as it seemed that the Mirrorspace didn’t really like them. Almost as if it wasn’t meant to be used in the first place…
Maybe she could ask some Order people about their places? Sure, they weren’t on Order’s side because they had to use energy and had Chaos auras, but it’s not like they were on the Negaverse’s side either!
It was still a bit confusing to Blair, almost to the point where she had wanted to take notes the next time she had met up with a superior, but that hadn’t happened yet. Everyone had become busy, which wasn’t a surprise, but didn’t leave much room for meeting with each other.
She was so lost in her thoughts that she tripped a little on… something. When she managed to regain her balance, she looked behind her on the sidewalk to see what it could have been. At first it looked like glass, but when she looked closer it appeared to be in the shape of a star, as though it were a gem. She couldn’t help but look around and wonder if anyone was nearby who may have lost it from their earrings or necklace or something. Nope! She was all by herself, which was a surprise of it’s own considering the street she was walking down.
She made sure to grab it though and take a closer look. “Wonder if I can’t make something out of this…” She muttered to herself before putting it in her bag. It was a deep ruby-red and could easily be the centerpiece in any of her jewelry.
Hopefully it would take to being poked and prodded a bit as she tried to fit it into a piece. Obviously, she didn’t want to break it and as it was the only one that she had found, she knew she had to be careful with it.
Still, something felt… off about it. And she couldn’t help but wonder what it was. Was it really a gem of some sort? Or was it something more… now that she had been introduced to all of this magic stuff, she wondered if some things really were more than they appeared. And she had a feeling about this one. One that couldn’t be ignored.
