Chambersite couldn't help but punch the man he had gotten into a fight with a bit harder, knocking the other to the ground.

Honestly he had just been walking around powered looking for victims as other than the sash, his uniform looked quite ordinary. It wasn't until some a** had decided to get in his face and try to take some money out of him.

Chambersite had easily hit the man into the nearest alleyway and had been beating him up, mostly to relieve his anger, before he decided to start draining. He had already been pissed before the man's assault and getting jumped had only increased it.

"Losing to that basic..." He muttered to himself as he let the man go. The man staggered back and fell, with Chambersite starting to drain his energy from where he was standing. He didn't feel like getting up close and personal to drain tonight, and he figured that any amount of energy from this man would be enough to fill his quota. "Just because I look skinny to you a**hole doesn't mean that I'm an easy target." He didn't really care what he said to the man, he wouldn't remember it anyway.

That was when he felt a familiar aura. "Guess it's time for round 2 then..." He mumbled as he looked around, trying to tell where the Basic Order was coming from. He wouldn't let himself get beaten again. He wouldn't make the same mistake. It was pathetic that he had let himself lose the first time, he wouldn't get anywhere close to General if he let that continue to happen.

"I won't retreat."

He knew that source, it had been one that he'd encountered and fought before. He recalled that he'd won that round but if he listened to his gut, he was fairly certain that this had also been the one that he'd only won because of luck. He wasn't completely on edge, but the senshi did approach with slightly more caution than he initially had.

Cybele's words had at least gotten through to him in some form, she'd seen far too much and lost far too much to not take these things seriously. He might not have seemed like he had listened at the time, but in those moments it would have been clear that he had. Suffice to say that with his magic still unpredictable, there were no guarantees that it would work and to be perfectly honest, he knew better than to expect someone to make the same mistake again.

If this was who he thought it was, then he couldn't rely on a misstep to keep him safe.

His lips pressed together in a thin line and it wasn't long before he found himself where Chambersite had been, and he most likely wouldn't be far away at all. It only took a few moments of further observation for him to catch sight of the prone body and well... A now familiar figure nearby it.

Chambersite looked like he'd recovered well from this distance and if that was correct then Athalia was in for a rough ride...

Chambersite couldn’t help but smirk. This time, this time he was going to win. Of course, he had to figure out how exactly to attack the Senshi. Last time he hadn’t known what he was going up against, but this time he at least had some idea.

The Senshi had some sort of shield magic that he could use to defend himself which didn’t leave Chambersite a whole lot of options, at least not enough opportunity to strike him. Though he didn’t really care about killing the Senshi, just getting him out of the way would be enough. Besides, if they lived, then they could tell all of the others to watch out for Chambersite.

Still, he had energy to collect and he wasn’t going to back down from his current target, and he continued to drain the man, just waiting for the Senshi to come and attack him. After all, the Senshi was just so full of justice and apparently thought himself above others, that he was sure they would attack first this time. And unfortunately, Chambersite’s usual trick of throwing his weapon to distract his opponent probably wouldn’t work as well. The Senshi knew that he did it, and while the dagger could be quite dangerous, that didn’t mean it would be lethal if it was thrown, especially if it was done so sloppily and without care like he usually hurled it.

“Well, it’s your turn Senshi, what are you going to do about it?

Chambersite was right, Athalia had little choice but to intervene. It wasn't in the senshi to sit idly by, in the grand scheme of things if he chose not to act then he was complicit in the continued suffering of others. Whether or not he had the capacity to step back and sacrifice another to save the masses was another matter entirely, but when it came to being one on one against someone he knew what he had to do.

He didn't lunge forward outright this time, instead he took inspiration from the senshi he was teaching how to fight. She had a thing for dust, that, and picking up anything weighty to use as a weapon. While she certainly lacked finesse with most things there was method to her madness and he saw value in trying at least a portion of it now.

...What came next would have been comical at any other time.

Athalia threw a rock; yep, a normal rock. Given what he was it flew at considerable velocity towards Chambersite but in much the same fashion as the Agent's daggers, it could be deflected if someone was paying attention. In a roundabout way it could have been a compliment to Chambersite too, such an action could have been inspired from him as well!

Nevertheless he didn't allow that to be his final action, as the rock soared towards the agent, he flung himself at him too. Standard punches were to be expected on this occasion, the senshi bore no weapons and thus, his fists were the only thing he had.

Seemed the Senshi forgot about one thing that made the Order and the Negaverse very different when it came to their powers. Besides the obvious of course.

Chambersite had almost drained himself dry from teleporting so much last time, so he had to be careful. Still, he considered this a useful time to do it.

The rock would have been one thing to dodge, he wouldn't have used teleportation if it was just that, but the Senshi actually had the audacity to try to use his trick on him! If he wasn't too busy dodging then Chambersite would have laughed! At this time though, he wasn't letting the Senshi "win" this time.

He teleported, dodging the rock, and teleported behind the Senshi, summoning his dagger. He wasn't directly behind, he wanted to have some time in case the Senshi had sensed him coming, but he moved his dagger down anyway. "That was a mistake." Chambersite said, practically hissing the last part. The Senshi needed to learn what he was truly dealing with, only having lost last time due to Chambersite's carelessness.

It had been a mistake - while Athalia may have had the capacity to throw up his shields he simply wasn't at the right angle to block the dagger. Left with little choice, he would have to do what he had never deemed an option before...and so he twisted in the air to meet his fate. If he was going to get hit then it would have to be on his terms, thus his arm raised to meet the inevitable puncture wound that the dagger would greet him with.

To say it hurt would have been an understatement, but if he'd had to choose between his arm and anywhere else, there was very little contest. Something had to be hit and he would sacrifice that in exchange for protecting what was much more valuable. Unsurprisingly his nose creased into a smile and his leg swung up towards Chambersite's head.

He wasn't out yet, but he was at a disadvantage.

At least he could be relied upon not to back down quite so easily, but give it time and enough smart blows from Chambersite and the senshi would have no other choice but to back down; and realistically speaking, it was unlikely he had much left at all if the agent had learned anything from their last spat...

Chambersite had little time to dodge the leg that was swung up at him. He had managed to hit his opponent in the arm, but a leg followed right after. As soon as he realized that the leg was coming, he let go of the dagger and used the arm on his left side to block the incoming attack.

As much as he could at least. He was still kicked to the side and hit the wall slightly, but at least he hadn't hit it too hard. He did have a bit more power than the Senshi after all, and could take a hit a bit more easily.

Maybe. He wasn't sure how tough this Senshi was.

But still, his arm had been hit and he barely managed to keep his head from getting hit. It wasn't like last time though. His arm would bruise, but it could still be used. He couldn't keep teleporting around the Senshi though, it would take too much energy and leave him weak.

Instead, he decided to summon the dagger back to him and held it in one hand, rushing towards the Senshi.

Perhaps in another time, if he'd been more prepared, Athalia's ability to fight using fists against a knife would have worked. However in this particular timeline things simply hadn't lined up in that manner. Instead the Captain had gotten the jump on him and it had been more than enough to disable him. After all, what choice did Athalia have in the grand scheme of things...?

If he shielded this, then he'd be vulnerable from the back and arguably place himself into a much more difficult position. First, there was no guarantee he'd be able to get his magic to work, and the second... well, if he was immobile then Chambersite would be free to hit him wherever he wanted.

It was becoming quickly apparent that Athalia was going to have to learn some new tricks, whether that was through magic or simply by wearing a particular set of gloves from the dojo. Now wasn't the time to theorise over that though as his newfound 'friend' wasn't letting up and no sooner had he recovered the dagger than he was moving towards the senshi with considerable speed.

Too fast, in fact, for the basic to dodge it fully.

Athalia rolled as best as he could, but once again that trusty dagger would meet and make a mark. Deep gash in one arm, and deep gash across his back, the once pristine fuku was beginning to change colour to something much more unsightly.

"I see..." He growled softly.

With his mobility diminishing far more rapidly than he would have preferred it seemed like Athalia had run out of options.

...Well, except for maybe one option and it wasn't one he was happy with.

At this point Chambersite was more likely annoyed that the Senshi had not yet run and seemed to be taking the stabbings as though he had barely been scratched. Clearly the strategy of "just stab him" was not working. There was... another that he could do. It was more desperate, but as a Captain, it was now his job to either convince threats to join their side, or eliminate them.

Since he did not yet have the power to forcibly corrupt another, and may never have, the only option for this type of Senshi was elimination.

Suddenly he teleported in front of the Senshi and placed his hand on his chest. It would only be the 2nd time he had done this, but he hoped that it would be easier as a Captain, and with that he tried to use whatever Negative energy he could muster to open the door to the Senshi's starseed... Whether it would succeed was a different matter. "Should have left when you had the chance Senshi." If this didn't work, he hoped that the Senshi would at least be intimidated enough to leave. Then he could write them up in the database.

He was really starting to hate when these agents teleported and at some stage he was going to find a way to lock them out of that ability entirely. Nevertheless he knew that sensation, even though it wasn't the same type of attack the pain was familiar and he narrowed his eyes. As expected, this particular agent was as murderous as the others... But to his credit he had never kept that a secret.

No, on this occasion, he had simply shown how far he would go.

With his arms wounded from those god forsaken knives the senshi had very few options and it was with a grimace that he placed his hands behind his back and pressed them into the depths of his space pocket. To be entirely honest he didn't know what to expect, he tended to throw all the 'random' junk that he found on his patrols into that space... but eventually something smooth and round fell in to his palm, warm to the touch and instinctively, it felt right.

"You have a bad habit of showing your hand too early," Athalia growled back, jaw tight against the pain of a doorway that would soon open.

Hand flicking out from it's position behind his back, the black gem resting comfortably between his finger tips, the senshi rubbed it gently and for once he put his faith entirely in whatever magic might lie within. What came next was almost instant as the world around the pair flooded with darkness and Chambersite disappeared from his view. In the depths of the magical 'void', Athalia dropped away from the Agents palm and ran.

Without the ability to safely stop those weapons he was at a disadvantage, the senshi didn't have the capacity to take endless knife blows, but at the very least he had bought himself time and he'd learned more about his companion this evening.

The next time they met the senshi was going to have to be much more creative and a damn sight more strategic... However for the time being it was in his best interests to run, let his wounds heal, and review how best to approach someone like Chambersite in the future.

It was safe to say that this evening the agent had definitely won.

/fin from me!

Item Used!
1x Shadow Gem:
    Description:
A strange black gem with a beautiful luster; it is roughly half the size of someone's palm.
When rubbed, this stone casts a complete shadow in a fifty foot radius for sixty seconds. No light, magical or natural, seems to be able to dispel the darkness. Energy signatures can be felt but nothing can be seen. When the magic ends, the darkness seems to be absorbed back into the gem. This item must be approved for use in any event or ORP. Each gem has only one use; afterwards, it simply a beautiful memento.

Before Chambersite could start the extraction attempt, or at least touch the starseed, the Senshi said something to him, something about showing a hand too early? And then the world went black.

Chambersite immediately summoned his dagger, but from what he could hear, it sounded as if the Senshi was running away. They had used something then to cloud the area around the two of them, though Chambersite doubted the Senshi had done it himself, especially since it didn't sound like any magic spell. Eventually the darkness faded, and Chambersite found himself where he was, with no Senshi in sight, nor could he feel the Order aura of the other.

Chambersite grimaced and sighed. It appeared that while the Senshi knew when to quit, the other still felt as though he had the advantage over the Captain. Of course he didn't. If there was anything that Senshi's lacked it was advantage. Perhaps they could win if they had infinite magic and no Agent could land an attack on them, but that was not the case. And Chambersite would summon his dagger as much as he wanted.

Still, he felt better know that the had gotten to "beat" the Senshi. He would have preferred to leave the unconscious body of the Senshi laying about, but that would have to wait another time. Chambersite decided to go back to the castle and recuperate for a bit, until he had to surface once again.
